Yes!!!!! TURN IT DOWN! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to explain “just because your oven goes to 550 doesn’t mean that’s how you bake the chicken” 👏🏾👏🏾
Exactly!! I'm cracking up about baking chicken! 🤣
@@TravelleLavar 😂😂😂 it’s the southern in me! That’s the only way they understand lmbo
I pray no one be cooking their chicken at 550😫😫😫😫

You have no idea how encouraging this is 🙌🏽
Yes yes yes love it. Go on with your bad self. Excellent job.
Travelle lavar I love hair and anything to do with hair styling. For years I was told by my mum to pursue a career in Hairdressing. At the time it wasn't a manly thing to do. You are encouraging me to find my groove again and take a leaf out of your book. Amen to you and keep up the good work.😁
I agree with this 100%!!!
I agree! I truly learned a lot from this video!
I've been natural for six years and i haven't been to a hair salon since...let's just say I'd trust you with my hair
Yeah, I had to do a lot of research before finally allowing a salon to touch my hair. I have a white husband and he got so pissed at me for having a hair dresser in another city. I had to let him know I am not white. I can not go to any and any hair dresser. I need someone who specializes in my hair.
As one of his guests, I can tell you that he’s all that and beyond. He’s a hair genius, truly gifted. Be prepared that when you sit in his chair you’ll go sleep. The shampooing/ scalp massage session is an event in itself 👌🏾 I’ve never come across a hair professional who’s as knowledgeable, thorough, patient and gentle with your hair as Travelle.
@@Livnbyf8th You are so lucky! 🍀
Girl me too I haven’t seen a hair salon in 5 years and these vids make me want a professional trim and press but idk how to find someone I can trust 😭
Same here.
"Turn the iron down!" needs to be on a shirt
I like a stylist that educates rather than just show work. You are ALL that. This is the best informative stylist I have seen. I will subscribe I am hooked. And you have taught me a lot in just 3 videos. I'm in St. Louis but once this pandemic is over I will be taking my annual stroll to Chi town to get my hair done by you. Thanks for doing you tube.
You've only uploaded three times and I'm already hooked! You're soooo talented. The results are incredible. Can't wait to see your channel grow!!!
Thank you so much!!
Me too!!
Same !
I love listening to someone who knows what they are talking about. It’s soothing lol
I love the information you provided with Olaplex. I’ve described Olaplex in a similar fashion. It’s like temporary scaffolding. No one would trust a building made out of scaffolding; we all expect some solid structure. So I don’t expect Olaxplex to fix my hair, but I feel it is temporary scaffolding that adds strength while I work on any damage to my hair.
Deej omg! Perfect explanation!! It’s a great tool to preserve the integrity of the hair while we get it back to optimal health, and by optimal i mean grow the damage out lol
Wait a minute 😳
Did you say that you was located in Chicago?😮
I need to find you. 👀👀👀
Where are you in Chicago🙏🏽🙏🏽😍
This channel and Deeper than hair tv teach me soooo much
A real educator, usually I’d be skipping through these types of videos but you are just dropping Jems so I have to stay and watch the whole video ! Which I enjoy every second of

Thank you for being so informative throughout your videos...you are really educating us and it's highly appreciated! More hairstylists need to take notes from you 😊
You are talented and professional!! I love it!!
i like the knowledge you reiterate to others when doing your hair videos!!! bc not everyone knows & it helps when people talk about it & dont just assume! keep up the good work :)
Good info!!! My fine hair can’t take titanium plates. The times I’ve had bad heat damage it was from that high temp babyliss titanium iron. My hair always bounces back with ceramic irons. All hair can’t take the same heat.
Girl the babyliss is the devil!!! I love how silky it gets my hair but baby... i always get some kind of heat damage with the babyliss. What ceramic iron do you use? I don’t dare flat iron my hair myself. I go to a stylist for a silk press
Omg yessss you’re so right lol. I have fine hair as well and years ago I used the babyliss iron and had a head full of heat damage. I now only use Nume flat iron, it’s been 4 years since I’ve been using Nume and I never suffer with heat damage no matter how high the heat. I really do think it depends on the individuals hair.
Me too! This is the main reason I don’t go to the hair salon because they want to use the same titanium flat irons on all their clients and don’t think about how fine hair clients need ceramic irons only!!!!!
@Amber Chantell Hey girl! Lol. Weird seeing you in something other than perfume.
@@Keonahawk24 Lol I be all over RUclips watching and commenting 😆

I absolutely love your techniques. You explain everything & its all about HEALTHY HAIR ❤
Love the commentary and advice!!
I really like your content of your videos, you break everything down for me to understand properly! Thank you so much 😊
Please stay and upload often I'm so excited to follow you!!!
I’m so glad youtube recommended your channel to me.... sooo informative and yes you’re in the chi, it’s my lucky day 😩
Excellent explanation regarding hair treatment etc!
So glad I found your video. I recently got heat damage and I’m experiencing almost all of the symptoms you listed for severe heat damage. I don’t mind having heat damage since I prefer straight hair, but I want to avoid the excessive shedding/breakage and that awful burnt smell. So far I’ve been keeping up with my trims and doing protective and heartless styles. I also plan on doing light protein treatments.
What an artist!
Love the scientific breakdowns in your video. Very educative!
I’m so glad i found this channel fairly early. Not only do you have blessed hands, it is clear you’ve put in a lot of time and hard work to be so educated and truly the best at your craft. Proud new subbie 🥰
Whatever got you to put up vids on youtube, im so thankful you are a real gem and i cant wait to watch everything you put out fr!! Id love more vids on protein/moisture balance and treatments for that too
I love how instructive your videos are ! Great Job, amazing speaker, looking forward to seeing your channel grow !
I once had heat damage on a section of my hair. The rest of my curls came back but that one section refused. I was worried about it but then I bought some 'Keracare 2 minute reconstructor' and after a few months my hair reverted back. I have not had to cut it. 4b curls are now restored like before.
Thanks I needed this info. I have one section still str8 from my daughter silk press practice 3 months ago. The rest is balling their fists in black power protest. 4z is my natural state. I've learned helluva alot from this video but your post was the bonus scoop I needed. It hit st8 home to me. Thanks 🏃🏿♀️🏃🏿♀️🏃🏿♀️🏃🏿♀️ me on my way to find keracare. Thx again
This is my first video of yours, but I subscribed IMMEDIATELY AFTER (which a rarely do). So we’ll informed! Learned so much! Thank you!!

1:13 in and Im already appreciative of the information 😍 I love thorough people.
So educational I couldn’t keep up 😂 and informative. I loved the video for those two reasons👍🏻
I would just like to say thank you for sharing as well as educating us on hair. I’ve been loc’d for five years all natural for at least ten, at this very moment I am working on combing the last few out and my heart is set on a silk press out off all the videos I have watched this has me feeling like I know what I need to know… thanks I’m sure my hair will thank you
Literally everything you said was right. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 thank you for paying attention in cosmo school AND sharing information. 😅😃
Thanks sooo much for your videos I appreciate it ....A lot of stylist including myself has become very complacent when it comes to doing hair ....we wan't to get the client in and out with little to no advice pertaining to the actual chemistry aspect of the hair but you reminded me to always remember to keep clients informed concerning the the hair and how it's made up so they can have a better understanding themselves on how to maintain healthy beautiful hair ..... you have a follower for life and I do hope persons that takes all this information your are sharing give you the credit especially if they didn't know .
Love you and keep the videos coming 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
My request is for more indept videos on professional hair products that's clients can purchase over the counter for at home use and maintenance.
@trav😊 Thanks in advance
i usually find myself turning on youtube videos while i’m getting dressed, cleaning or something, and will occasionally look to see what’s going on. with your videos, i’m literally locked in beginning to end. i love how much i’m learning while watching you slay these heads! i would be honored to be in your chair!💛
Wow!!! Not only did you do an exceptional job first and foremost but the explanation while working was phenomenal. Thank you! I also agree by this time next year, you will have over 1 million followers, your amazing 🤩
I JUST GRADUATED FROM COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL & IM SO GLAD I CAME ACROSS YOU!!! DON’T STOP MAKING VIDEOS, I NEED ALL THE INFORMATION I CAN GET😩🤗 I WILL TURN THAT HEAT DOWN NOW.
Wow, wow, wow!! I found your channel by accident and I am so glad that I did!! You have reinforced information I already know but don't always apply and give me new information about how to properly take care of my natural hair. I wish you were closer I would definitely be a client. Thank you very much!!
Them flat irons are golden ! I absolutely love the sheen and shine it’s giving
The science geek in me is loving the educational breakdown of products & hair composition 🤓📝

God blessed you brotha!!!!!! You the best!!!!!
This was BEAUTIFUL💙 You did a great job, per usual! I personally don't care for "iron" curls in my hair, but I love the way you "bumped" her ends!!!💋
I really enjoyed this video please make more ❤️
As a licensed stylist I needed this video and education!!!! Thank you love❣️❣️❣️❣️
I love your channel. I’ve learned so much about my hair just by watching your videos. I have been natural for 4 years and I am going to get locks in 2023. I want to have fun with my hair from now until then. I’m about to find your booking site. I’m from Chicago as well!
This is so helpful. I hope he will show tip to help with styling and helping the edges.
You better teach!!! Love it❤
I love watching your videos. I’m a cosmetology student and all this info is GOLD. Wish our teachers had your desire to educate🥴
Your amazing ! Love ur knowledge
Travelle. You are the greatest, I must say. You've summed it all up. The health and beauty also the luster of each person's hair was just excellent. I wish that you were in Augusta ga. You would have the majority of this cities clients. I wish you the best 100 percent. Ms. Mary Ann of Augusta ga.
I actually found your channel by accident. I love watching hair videos.... extensions, silk presses, dyes, color corrections, you name it. I was watching one video about extensions and just letting it flow into another one and I was doing something else but listening to the video. One of yours popped into queue and I immediately stopped what I was doing and watched and listened. I have been trying to get my hair healthy again, from a lifetime of crimping and dyeing and heat damage, in general. That isn;t easy to do when one lives in the hottest state on earth.
From that one video I watched, I learned how to wash my hair differently. Granted, I don't have the same texture as most of your clientele and I am not a hairdresser but, you, sir, are amazing! I have watched hundreds of other hairdressers/educators and none of them talk about how to wash the hair and correctly moisturize the shaft as you do. Thank you, very much. I don't mind your talking, I want to learn how to better take care of my hair. Please make more videos. Thank you!!!
I want you to style my hair. Omg you know your stuff and you respect the client.
I love how you explain hair. Yes, your work is fabulous but your explanations. You KNOW hair
