I think "vile" was probably a little strong here.... however socialism is rather vile. I do love your content. Probably we differ in the community constructs one makes. I live and was raised in the woods. In a very self sufficient community....and also am of a anti tax anti government mind set😁
I think you missed the point and that's not a very nice thing to say. June is eating at a family owned mom and pop restaurant while discussing a much bigger picture of how the rich are getting richer while shutting out human collaberation (necessary in Indian cooking) in society and treating the less well off as though they're disposable units to be used as cleaners for example. Context is important.
Hi June! I'm a big fan from the Philippines 🇵🇭 and i have been watching you fanatically, especially budget eats to the point that I downloaded all your budget eats episodes. And seeing you now thriving on your own channel, videos and advocating a lot of mental health issues and discussing anything about life, I LOVE YOU EVEN MORE❤ I will forever support your journey and I wish I could meet you personally ❤️🥺 LOVE YOU JUNE❤
15:26 The blue swirl on the soup dumpling is really pretty. I would make that colour with blue butterfly pea flowers, dried gently in the sun the day they were plucked then kept in an airtight jar until ready to use. Give it a wash then pop a handful in a pot with a cup or two of water, depending on how a deep a colour you want and bring to boil-remove immediately and let it cool, use the same way as food colouring once cooled.
YAY FILIPINO FOOD, FINALLY!! So nice seeing you actually try so many different Filipino dishes :) I admit Filipino cuisine is not the healthiest - but it's really good and flavorful... especially with rice ;) Think it's definitely still underrated!
looking forward to watching this! Ham el Waylly wears superiority burger tees a lot in some vids he's in with Sohla so looking forward to hearing more about the place and their food!
Thank you for sharing such great and affordable spots, it makes us vieweres feel like a true local. As an European I also try to look for places with a nice quality-price ratio. Keep it up, your content is always so pleasant to see 🥰
My job in the medical field started to talking about what we made and what people who were newly hired and not as qualified as we were getting paid (better then us)… long story short 8 of us left cause they weren’t going to change and they were threatening to fire the people who started the talk. That didn’t sit well with me because it’s not illegal and they could have been hit with a wrongful termination lawsuit if they had.
You forgot to metion that superiority burger is a vegetarian spot! It wasn't until aaron was mentioning how it tasted compared to meat that I realized it was an all veg concept. Def looks a tad expensive (even they put "yikes" next to their cocktail pricing), but tbh it's mostly on par with what slightly upscale places charge here in the midwest. And unfortunately, veggie burgers always cost more than beef burgers. I'm not sure I could spend $15 on a single slice of pie though, and I love pie the most out of desserts.
Dang, that chicharon bulaklak was fried perfectly. I wish it was done that way out here where I live - for some reason, people seem to prefer it a little chewier, which to me is a bit off-putting. (Also, fun fact - the pronunciation for "lumpia" is based off the Taiwanese pronunciation of 润饼, which can lead to a rabbit hole of wanting to try all of the variations in Asia, lol.) Tsuzuku took me to You Garden after the stint at NY Food Court; glad you were able to showcase their menu in this video!
4:13 Noob or just very Chinese way of eating. I just kinda horrified my Taiwanese boss by eating a rice dish with my hands in front of her (I’m Malaysian-Chinese, it’s a South East Asian thing, this was a Malay dish which is traditionally eaten with the hands, but not all Chinese here do it, hence the horror)
Hello June! I have been following and watching you for 5 years now. I love all your shows and we all care for you. Will you be taping with Delish again?
I had to rewatch the entire video to find out what June's second fav KitKat was bc i missed it and no one answered me during the live premiere! Also, FUNNEL CAKE 🎂 YUM-OH.
Filipino cuisine is just ok for flavour unless there’s actual meat in it. Then it’s the bomb! Lechon and adobo, and a fish soup soured with tamarind-can’t get enough of those! I make an exception for banana ketchup and halo-halo. Appreciating your honest review of everything you ate.
Will Filipino food ever become mainstream? I don’t know. It will fly for people from ethnic backgrounds that are used to eat bit parts….I am up for it but non of my family is….
June literally went viral for her political views; her hit programme 'budget eats' was literally borne out of her political ideology... she also decided not to continue it on the basis of her beliefs. How could it be possible to watch June and not indulge in politics? Anthony Bourdain was also very outspoken on politics, just so you know. If it makes you uncomfortable to listen to opposing view, I suggest leaving the internet and sequestering yourself from society. And just so you know, I don't entirely agree with June, but I don't cry about or stick my fingers in my ear because I'm a functioning adult.
June, you’re a rockstar. As I build myself I have my girls and squirrels in mind and you’re one of them. Im thinking a series hosted by Kom_I formerly from Wednesday Campanella. The BTS series that shows different influencers (who probably have lots of b roll) explain their mental health through different phases and mental crisis. Maybe have therapist help you as you/guest goes through the footage. I was thinking about how influencers make everything look cool to keep sponsor’s happy but it can stifle you or create challenges about authenticity. I think this series would help regular folks see that they good deep down and that they’re not alone. The higher the vibe with open heart means the more peace and community bonds are forming. We need different people around the globe who decided to live authentically. Im Stoney just thinking out loud. Sorry about your mom. I can’t imagine the pain. Kiss and give grandma something good for all of us who love you, June. Pardon but I don’t feel like editing. I think you can relate! Love, ya!
Pontificating on the evil of "rich paying for services " while eating at a restaurant seems rather vile

hope you don't ever eat at restaurants. ever.

I think you highly misunderstood the point of the things she was saying
@@MrShivBoomthis. June is also very much not "rich"

@@sarcasticcynic2664ooh how did you do that? is it like a Ytube to mp4 converter thing?
Thrilled to see June doing what she does best … egg + tomato = secret of the universe. Yes!

I never tire of these restaurant outings. Thanks for another good one!

Love that you shared the conversation on humanity and capitalism you had with your friend.
The meals looks so good, of course, love to see new foods!

Wow June what you said in the beginning about oppression and distance is so interesting!
Thank you for sharing your life with us June! You inspire me to be more open.

Correct. That's an unfair labor practice suit waiting to happen.
‘’I’m a Libra, I can’t decide” feel you sis. Me every time I look at a menu! 🎉

I was wondering where June went and now I found it again!! Yay!!

Right, and if I felt any wealthier, I think the prices are worth the experience. They do veggies right 😇
Thank you so much for making this video June ❤️ can’t wait see more ❤❤❤❤

I loved this! And now I'm so hungry!
Already love it!
Right?! I love that all I can see is a thumbnail and a title and I'm like. SOLD I love this 💯 cause it's June
Is it me or is $80 not a lot of money for dinner in NYC?

that first conversation 🥲
Great perspective on the food..
The last burger joint was a hefty bill considering you guys had to share the entire meal!!!
Hello June! I have been following and watching you for 5 years now. I love all your shows and we all care for you. Will you be taping with Delish again?
No.
Sake is my favorite kitkat flavor too! Always so hard to find though... 😭
Can you charge a high price for mediocre goods if you're in the Village?
June beeing june =👌🏼🖤

Hey June have you been to om wok? If so what do you think of it compares to the first restaurant?
Also love a Philippine place called Tito Rad's grill in Sunnyside
Love the momos at Om Wok, very different flavors.

omg june how did I not know you were a fellow libra!!! you give very much virgo or taurus! I bet mercury is your chart ruler.
Miss your mom ❤
It’s so funny when you said you liked the ketchup+fried rice combo because i did so too as a child😭😭😭
Yummm
Aaron and the other white guy looked so cute.
for both deliciousness and name-cuteness, you cant do better than momos
Fun!!
Your amazing I so agree with you stop hiding behind others
tortang talong or eggplant omelette is my budget viand
Julia has gone red! I miss Julia. She should have some kind of online presence as I am a fan.
Wait whatd i miss did she break up with aaron?!😅😢

xenophobia is partly real partly performative. no matter how transparent you get, there will always be some power hungry creep demanding more.
Is eating skin of animals healthy? My friend never eat skin, pork, beef, chicken, fish... believing that it's unhealthy.
nobody is here for your political views. we're here for your food takes and how they relate to politics. a female anthony bourdain if i may say
I beg to differ. I love how open and unapologetic June is. To each their own, but she made a lot of great points
Speak for yourself; I’m here for ALL of it.
Disagree
