What about a comfortable table and chair? I see you only had a stool for pedicures.. and then I didn’t see you pack a pedicure bowl and supplies for it. Also, what about a dust collector? I am still in nail tech school but thinking of being a traveling nail tech to build clientele and because I really want to start my journey and I need the extra money.. however, the amount of things that I would need to pack makes my head spin. You don’t realize how much supplies a nail tech needs until it’s time to travel. I’m going to have to tell clients to be super sure of what you want because the thought of taking a bunch of different nail colors and designs stresses me
Yes ! Okay so don’t stress yourself out too much i promise it’s easier than you think. You don’t need to bring a chair or table because that would be too much . just because your clients will have dining tables , kitchen islands, coffee tables, etc. the thing with house calls is you never really know where you will be set up. I actually don’t do pedicures with a bowl because i only do gel BUT there are sooo many great places to get a small pedi bowl and foot stand that are super portable! Don’t be nervous you can do this ! I’ll tell you the first couple are nerve wracking but once you have your system down it’s easy peasy!!!
Where did you get that stand you keep the kokoist cases in that pull out to the side like that?? Also where did you get the clear square case you keep the kokoist pods in??
The drawer was from container store a long time ago, but I don’t think they sell it anymore unfortunately 😭 and I have a link to the clear containers, and all other stuff in my blog post, I linked in the description of this video! Hope it helps!!! 😍

yesss! I actually stopped packing my dust collector a while back because it was just too much of a hassle for me to find space in my luggage and wherever I would go, like never enough table space ! I do wear a plastic face shield for my dust though cause I'm so allergic now. and I have a container w minimal art stuff and glitter but I actually dont use it a lot on my clients! im really bad at stickers and crystals/gems etc so I never offered it and stuck to all hand painted things 🙈
It totally depends! Think about travel time , how many clients you could’ve done in the salon in the amount of time it takes you to drive to the house call , do the services, and come back etc etc!
Hey fab video thank you, its really helpful. I notice in your video that you use different brands of gel (Akzentz Luxio amongst other), I use that brand too and a few others. Anyone I ask in the UK nail industry state I should use the brand lamp for my products, that would mean I need three different lamps and thats expensive!! Can you recommend a rechargeable/cordless UV/LED lamp that can be bought in the UK? Or signpost me to stockists/retailers that sell them 😀
Oh my gosh you sound exactly like me when i was trying to get a new lamp !! Finally i realized that a lot of the brands saying that were just saying you need to use their lamp just for marketing purposes . You can totally use other brands lamps with different gel. What i ended up doing was sticking to Japanese gel brand lamps since i was mainly always using Japanese gel. I used a presto gel lamp for a longggg time when i was using presto gel, akzentz and kokoist gel, all before i went to the Kokoist lamp! I hope that helps a little . Don’t stress yourself out , as long as you have a high quality professional lamp , it’ll cure your gels :) make sure if your gels are LED then get an LED curing lamp! A lot of lamps now are both LED and UV, so i would recommend those just in case you come across UV gel

I have been been checking out cheaper alternatives available in UK as Kokoist lamp has a hefty price tag here but a lot of the reviews state they malfunction after a couple of months
