Life comes with criticism whether at work, socially or even social media and it's something we need to learn to handle as part of our character building process. We all want praise and encouragement but with that we must also accept the critics and downers as part of life on life's terms. The likes of Jeremy Vine and Meghan Markel need constant praise and want to silence critics through court action and this says much about their characters (or rather lack of)

I was watching rugby league - it had a woman in the commentary team - I turned it straight off. As for a take a knee ball - I wouldn't watch that racial propaganda if they played the cup final in my backgarden.

I don't watch much of the girls game, but in the games I have seen the most glaring difference when compared to the mens game is the lack of cheating from the girls, it reinforces how bad the mens game is for it. Not sure what Joey has said, or the context of how it was said.

Mate I'm mixed and got bullied to fu.k at school primary as well. You will never stop children bullying and it didn't do me that much harm in my later years. Not to say is doesn't harm others. Joey thinks he’s smarter than he is and he’s finding out the hard way. He was spot on about women commentators on the men’s game being ushered into positions ahead of experienced men who have played at the highest level, but that is were it stops.The lass being criticised here was playing at her level and he failed to see that.

If you want to be a superstar, a top sportsman, comedian etc you have to accept that if you make mistakes you will be ridiculed by both the press and the public. What about a 17yr old trainee pilot.. They will have to accept judgement from their instructor. No allowances for age...the key is that any one who is under performing or has had a really bad day, stands up accepts the criticism and comes back firing on all 4 cylinders to beat the odds. Male or female Premier League footballers at 17 will get the full wrath of the crowd if they are shite. If you don't like it stay at home and play Crib with Nanna. Be careful you're going woke man.

At the end of the day if we are to promote free speech and try cancel out Woke then Barton should be able to say what he likes, Although it should be said giving slack for the fact the subject is a 17 year old girl so horses for courses Mr Barton chappy, go easy on the lass. Father of 3 daughters here myself so although i think barton needs a kick in the ball bag i am trying to also promote free speech.
Joey Barton is basically saying what most blokes are thinking, and probably to scared to actually say. I don't know what he tweeted about the lady footballer but as others have said, you need to learn to take criticism, especially in professional sport - it makes you stronger. If he simply pointed out that she was out of position then i would look upon it as constructive, but as i say, i don't know how the tweet was worded.
