    Pin numbers are 8 digits long and then hash before dailing the number. I used to commit my pin to memory and get rid of the physical pin so it doesnt get nicked and such. 2 years today I been out.

    Only discovered the channel a couple of weeks ago n I'm hooked, proper sound content! Never had any knowledge of prisons and how they operate so this is an eye opener... always wondered how anyone could become rehabilitated by being locked up for years but these interviews really do show us that honest prison staff with respect and integrity certplay a big part in helping inmates reform themselves

      The police wouldn't function without informers. When you put aside people being caught because they made a mistake and left compelling evidence and plain dumb luck then 95% minimum of all arrests are on the basis if information. received.
      Detective is a misnomer. Very little is detected.

    Thanks for that Sam, I always enjoy your walk and talks. I agree, grassing someone up shouldn't solicit a lighter sentence, but I guess the thinking is...how else do you get someone to talk? Never liked bullies, and you're right, if you're going to dish it out you absolutely have to be able to take it too, Besides, a little bit of friendly banter never did anyone but the thinnest of skinned sods, any harm at all. Looked a bit chilly today, glad to see you were well rugged up, and Stevie as happy as ever. All the best.

  • @Nutterlie

    Sadly if it wasn’t for someone grassing the prisons would be emptier and the streets would be more dangerous. Lazy policing or is turning a grass actually policing? Personally I’m with you Sam, there is absolutely nothing wrong with an innocent person or a victim of crime going to the police for help and support but the idea that the first who turns against their codefendant gets away with it, and in the US they can get actual immunity, is repulsive to me.

Sometimes it’s beyond belief what government agencies will stoop to to meet their own interests?!! Ar seethe.

    I personally believe that the majority of sentences are wrong and way too lineant , for me if you throw something as potentially life threatening as acid in someone's face you deserve a life sentence . Ok the acid may or may not kill you, you might be lucky in that respect but the life long trauma for the individual would be soul destroying, its not right ! Great vlog as always sam 🍻

      Hello Steven,
      Well said,,absolutely true.
      Throwing acid in someone's face is a cowards move. The intention to maim,,the effect it has afterwards,,mental health problems,,depression,,loss of job and more,,families affected,,relationship breakdown,it's endless what comes after being attacked.
      Life in jail should be given..?
      Anyone who carried this act out has got a warped mind and there's not one excuse to justify the act,none..Good comment pal

    Brilliant Mr S, I don't circulate with certain people but I know many who have been at it for years and never been picked up, I've also seen many get lenient sentences for what they've done, when they get out they think they can go back to normal.....it doesn't happen, they're marked for life and looking over their shoulder constantly and rightly so.....you can't have your cake and eat it!!!

  • @belltopcone
    @belltopcone Год назад

    great vlogs mate thanks, I'd say the only time for leniency would be if a prisoner gave information to the whereabouts of missing ``people`` maybe then some sort of concessions might be permitted.

    My own personal thoughts about grasses and sentencing, there must always be incentives for grasses but it must always reflect the crime, longest sentence I ever served was 13 days shy of one year, I can tell you that a year in prison feels like 5 years, I mean after a few months its like your outside life was a dream you had.., so if someone grasses reduce their sentence by a year as that year may not seem much to someone who has never served time in prison, but that year of my life was something I will never forget.

    I can share a fact with you from my time on remand in A Wing of the crumlin road prison Belfast back in the early 90's, there were more microphones and cameras scattered around that place than at a golden globes red carpet event, the yard was bugged and association room heavily bugged, its a little known fact but the troubles (decisions) were conducted at the time between the crumlin road and maze prison, mostly crumlin road.., issues were never discussed in a static environment and never in association.., some things never discussed but rather written down on joined cigarette papers and passed between A Wing and B Wing, (B2 and B3).., B1 was the sex offenders.., these messages would be passed out of the prison on visits to be seen by the loyalist command, could be anything from tactics to a prison officer acting the ejit and needs a talking to on the outside (intimidation).., but on topic to this video Sam, there existed a paranoia among the prisoners that bordered on manic.., ask the wrong question and you were a target.., so very few ever discussed their cases or the cases of others.
