Hi.I had a small music shop.I used to sell cassettes. I'm 53 now. They were most important famous persons I met in my life. They were normal, sincere and gentleman. We talked about 20-25 minutes and drank tea with Robert..After finished concert I tried to learn where do they stay in.Next day I waited by the hotel. When Robert go out I kissed him and arms around..He was real and gentleman. No complimants etc. Asked me yesterdays concert performance.I said time passed so fast like a dream . I said I came about 1000 km from my town to İstanbul for the concert he said please drive carrefully. I taked LZ 3 lp and they singnature LP's.While I wait for Jimmy he was shopping peddler who sells cheap imitation watches near the hotel street.I talked to him 5-6 minutes. He was gentleman a sincere like normal persons.I loved them more because most important band of history (according to me)and so normal persons like a teacher or friends.Sorry for my poor english. LZ is the most honorable band of history.Because when Bonzo died they finished Led Zeppelin in the most popular period. They could find another drummer. But they didn't choose this way because some things more important then money.I Proud of myself to meet these priceless persons I met. Thanks god created Led Zeppelin and Ahmet Ertegün(Turkih Manager discovered them) Hope they will long happily long years. I wrote this about 30-40 minutes.Bye.
Emin Kurnaz Thank for you words. Nice to read that. Indeed, they din't want to continue after losing Bonzo. What would have happenend it they continued like The Who did after 1978? By the way: Ahmet Ertegün didn't discover them, he was impressed by them, so he gave thema contract for albums from 1969-75. He was the manager of Atlantic Records. LZ's manager was Peter Grant. But Ertügn discovered one really great musician: Ray Charles. He wrote a song for him and recorded it right after Ray Charles playd it.
All of these reunions of Led Zeppelin gave me goosebumps no matter if there were mistakes or not. This band in my opinion deserve all the recognition they get. After all these years I still enjoy listening to all their albums. Their music is timeless to me and always will be.
absolutely true! for a drummer who havent rehearsed a single time with them, and having to play with tony thompson who plays way too loud and always pushing the beat a little ahead (it was clearly his first ever '2 drums' experience), collins did a decent job that day. and john paul jones, well, what else can i say? the man is more than reliable in every circumstance. even in the good old days, if it was'nt for him and john bonham, the best rythm section of the whole 70's, well, led zep would had been just a sloppy blues band with very good guitar riffs.
frk75 If you'd left out the last sentence in your comment, I would've agreed 100% with ya. I mean Bonzo and JOnesy are my favs too, but you can't just say Jimmy and Robert aren't fucking legends as well. Apart from that tho... You were right, mate :)
Growing up w/Zeppelin, guessing every song right at 5yrs old, got to say this show brought me me back! Love it!!! Love Robert plant, love jimmy page. They kept the magic in the music alive. Absolute legends! ;) Tria lightfoot
Phil really stepped up to the plate. He's so talented man! Love Page & Plant. Of course nothing compares to their Led Zeppelin Days with Bonzo, but they still kicked ass here! Love 'em!
Neil Young has been known to play the same note in concert for over 3 years straight without a break! Thank you Neil! Say what you will, but they are having fun at 1:30:15...And they still have more energy than Maroon 5 and Train combined, any day of the week!
You could always count on Mark Goodman to ruin a moment. "I'm not going to give away the whole set, but that's "Rock n Roll" and they'll be doing "Stairway to Heaven"…I remember being so pissed at him for talking on top of the intro. Although this was a mess, this day was not about music precision. It was an amazing historical event, and in the moment, every rock fan I knew dug it.
I had the same reaction. What a tool! "Phil COLLINS on stage." Who the f***k cares about Phil COLLINS when the remaining members of LED ZEPPELIN are on stage. GOODMAN talking over the intro was a huge mistake on national, live TV. Reminds me of that Saturday Night Live sketch where a DJ is always talking over the music.
Led Zeppelin was the best band ever. the day John Bonham died I cried like a baby I had to leave work and go home. I saw them at the Garden New York City 1975. Was so stoned I don't remember half the concert. Experience of a lifetime. Wouldn't have it any other way. I still listen to them to this day. Go Led Zeppelin
Is it only me that really can appreciate them as they are getting older? They have a lot more personality and charm now, don´t you think? But their skills and know how in regards of their music is only improving, all the time. It costs to be living legends!
+Susanne Williamsson - I agree, Jimmy was hot & sexy then, but now-wow he makes my heart skip a beat, is it possible he's gotten even Hotter? Oh what I wouldn't give.....lol.
Thank you so much for presenting this Live Aid footage. I have the DVD release of the concert but Zep requested they were left off so I haven't seen this in nearly 30 years. I was only 13 and didn't have enough taste to appreciate them. I so wish I was 10 years older on that day to fully appreciate the whole event.
To Patti T Thank you! It feels really good to have someone on my side. I think they are better looking than ever, because every line in their face shows that they have lived, in the true sense of the word.
John Paul Jones: 'Thanks for remembering my phone number". Painful... There is, was and has always been an unidentified tension when the three were on stage.
si me acuerdo d ese gran concierto comercial q fue una sorpresa la reunion d zeppelin pero esos 2 no pudieron llenar el gran hueco q sigue dejando bonham
jason was the only one who chould take his dads place with band he is awsome seen him many times back in the day mybe ill get lucky in michigan and the rumers come true for a concert
Was there front and center. No BS when Zep hit the stage i was pushed up against the security fence with my feet about a foot off of the ground. Been to a lot of shows but never felt anything like that before or since. Phil was a great drummer but he sure stunk up the joint that night. Still would not have missed it for anything.
Why do these get so much hate? I understand they may not live up to expectations, but just to see them play together again. But even if these were as bad as people say, 2007 made up for it.
+Timothy Morris When you a living god of rock people try to knock you down. All Zepp song are music to my ears. This was put together but not much was put into this show.
+Timothy Morris I don't know. All I know is that critics hated these guys. Maybe because they so callously and so freely stole songs from other artists. I agree that they sounded fantastic in 2007 at O2.
Fantastic! Sounds great. I recorded the entire day on VHS and still have them. Even though LZ didn't want to participate when Live Aid 85 was released, I still liked them and glad I had this on VHS until great people like you were able to upload this. I always loved Robert Plant's hair....especially the '85 cut even though he didn't'. hahaaha Just dawned on me they weren't too 'happy' about much during this time. Oh, well. LOL
Thanks for posting this. We also can't forget the great Led Zeppelin Reunion in December 2007 at the O2 arena in London. They put on an awesome performance, the rehearsed together for months prior. The Live AID show they landed and went right on stage, no rehearsals with Phil Colins and the other drummer. Jimmy's guitar sounded out of tune at times. The MSG was good overall.
After watching this, I mean...LZ was ALWAYS a little sloppy live. What do people want?! This is awesome! All 3 concerts were awesome! THE BLUES IS SLOPPY PEOPLE! Well done. :)
One of my biggest dream is that one day all the great bands that broke up could get back together.. GnR, Skid Row, Led Zep, Motley(tho they're finishing the last show) and also, Beatles and Nirvana..
Dont understand why people consider the Atlantic 40th to be a train wreck show. Sure it wasn't there best performance but it was tolerable, much better than LiveAid.
***** ohh for sure. Especially in the 70s it was hard to replicate all those outboard gear sounds. If you ever listen to "on the run" by Floyd the studio version and live version from the 70s are completely different from one another.
Anthony .Varone Thats true. Thanks for reminding me to appreciate that time in mylife. I saw all the big bands that decade. 'The Who', Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Bad Company,Gueen, David Bowie, & so many more. I only remember them all when I look at the Ticket Stubs I saved! I was young then, & had the money, & the time to go see ANY concert I wanted to. I NEED to remember how much fun I got to have.
+Anthony .Varone Shitty mix. To the lay person, it's "bad" when in reality the mixing desk did a poor job. This is exactly why Queen at Live Aid freelanced and snuck in their own sound gear. They weren't relying on house sound!
+Stephanie Sandlin yup. Can't blame him for feeling a little pissed off, he was there for the LZ journey too. It wasn't ALL about Plant Page and Bonzo. Also there was a really wanky remark by Plant during the "Second coming" that was the Page/Plant stuff around this time - he was asked where JPJ was - "oh he's outside parking the car" - or something to that effect, which rather hurt Jones as they HAD been close at one point.
asm1 Yes, Plant discussed the cold chill between him and JPJ over this in one interview. As it goes after a LZ business meeting right around that time, Plant tried to discuss it with JPJ and Jones silently walked out as to say, 'fuck off.'
Even if he did try to make amends it was a twattish thing for Plant to say. Oh to be rich and famous and have an ego the size of .... Robert Plant..... lol.
Yes, Plant is a difficult one. I get Jimmy. I get JPJ. Plant's a complete clusterfuck. Singeritis, big ego, alpha, unpredictable - he can be an annoying bitch at times. That fact has made anything he has done post Zep only moderately at best interesting. JPJ's Zooma absolutely kicked ass. So did The Thunderthief.
Celebration Day is so much better than this. IMHO that show is a complete masterpiece. If you never listened any original Zepp albums, you could play that show in 30 yrs and still understand how great they are musically. Truly one of a kind.

Sure did you
Ahmet Ertegün was a very smart man!
@@Tom78777 hello from Turkey
15:43 Does anyone remember laughter? Fantastic!
America's greatest rock n roll band inducting the world's greatest rock n roll band
All of these reunions of Led Zeppelin gave me goosebumps no matter if there were mistakes or not. This band in my opinion deserve all the recognition they get. After all these years I still enjoy listening to all their albums. Their music is timeless to me and always will be.
Everybody keeps bitching about Phil Collins but him and John Paul Jones were the two best players that day for sure.
absolutely true! for a drummer who havent rehearsed a single time with them, and having to play with tony thompson who plays way too loud and always pushing the beat a little ahead (it was clearly his first ever '2 drums' experience), collins did a decent job that day.

Apart from that tho... You were right, mate :)
And u really can’t blame them. JPJ got there the day of the show and Phil Collins has to listen to the songs the day of the show as well to learn them
I get pi ssed at Phil Collins every time I re-experience this ..what a Richard..
Collins was unrehearsed and had some hilarious gaffes. Especially during whole lotta love. But you can’t purely blame him either.
So glad Zeppelin is still going strong. That group is the best in the world❤❤😅 ❤
Growing up w/Zeppelin, guessing every song right at 5yrs old, got to say this show brought me me back! Love it!!!
Love Robert plant, love jimmy page. They kept the magic in the music alive. Absolute legends! ;) Tria lightfoot

Love Page & Plant. Of course nothing compares to their Led Zeppelin Days with Bonzo, but they still kicked ass here! Love 'em!
only john paul johnes have been constantly 100% amazing all this years
So has Robert. Also, Bonham's legacy is immovable in death.
DO YOU LOVE THIS MUSIC BUT IM ??? !!!😍😍😍😍
great chaos! loved it then, love it now.
Neil Young has been known to play the same note in concert for over 3 years straight without a break! Thank you Neil!
Say what you will, but they are having fun at 1:30:15...And they still have more energy than Maroon 5 and Train combined, any day of the week!
What a beautiful fabulous band 🎉😊
I remember the Atlantic Records show very well. Everyone stayed up waiting for Led Zepp to take the stage. That was the best reunion in my opinion.
You could always count on Mark Goodman to ruin a moment. "I'm not going to give away the whole set, but that's "Rock n Roll" and they'll be doing "Stairway to Heaven"…I remember being so pissed at him for talking on top of the intro. @MaySecond07 and how bout those shorts he's wearing. Bloody poofta
Go Led Zeppelin
i love these guys sooooooooo much, there will never be another band like them again.
truly gods of rock
Love 'em with all my heart and soul...whether they play perfect or not..
I wish these guys would tour one more time they still got it and let Jon's son Jason play in his fathers place what a RUSH that would be live on !!!!
It was SCORCHING hot in Philly during Live Aid. They needed cooling. I'm not fooling.
This made me laugh lol.
A melhor banda de todos os tempos! Respect from Brasil
El mejor grupo de la historia del Rock
Be glad they reunited those few times
WOW......simply EXCELLENT...I JUST LOVE IT....
love the memories,, keep them coming...
thanks for posting this man
I LOVE THIS ! Thank you SO VERY MUCH for posting !!!!!!!!!!!
Good evening Happy Saturday. Nice to do a double header the concert's this is my 2nd one. Wow does it feel good.
Peace & enjoy.
Plant aged noticeably fast after Bonhams death.
Cigs will do that to ya.
CooManTunes After his son died it was noticeable.
I agree. His whole performance demeanor was different by 1979. He lost a major part of himself.
CooManTunes i observed this as well, such a huge difference
CooManTunes The death of two very important people will do that to you. He heart was shattered.
Un enorme placer ver a Robert Plant, tocar la guitarra, exquisito ❤
So many great memories , Many can only wish they could accomplish what LED ZEPPELIN Has
Nunca vai existir um guitarrista melhor que jimy page
Thanks
To Patti T Thank you! It feels really good to have someone on my side. I think they are better looking than ever, because every line in their face shows that they have lived, in the true sense of the word.
Thanks for this, though I can see why the Live Aid gigs have never been commercially released...
I remember being extremely pissed at Jimmy for being so wasted and blowing it at Live Aid.
jack mayhoffer he was handed an out of tune guitar to play with right before the show.
Excellent compilation of concert clips!! Loved it! Thank you very much!
been a zep fan for 41 year's now , and I never seen plant play the string's COOL !!!!!!!!!! and neil young was a beast.
Best music entertainment I've heard in a long time!!! Awesome!!!
John Paul Jones: 'Thanks for remembering my phone number". Painful... There is, was and has always been an unidentified tension when the three were on stage.
It makes me realize that John Bonham kinda is the bridge between the 3 of them. Without him, you can feel the tension.
Thanks for post this!!!
What a cool concept, collecting these shows. I've been wanting to rewatch ARCO for 25 years too!!
Nice Zep playlist... :)
As bad as these are in spots, it's still better than most of the stuff that passes for music today.
Definitely!
si me acuerdo d ese gran concierto comercial q fue una sorpresa la reunion d zeppelin pero esos 2 no pudieron llenar el gran hueco q sigue dejando bonham
jason was the only one who chould take his dads place with band he is awsome seen him many times back in the day mybe ill get lucky in michigan and the rumers come true for a concert
The chemistry among the (surviving) three was still there...
one of the best bands that ever was so cool
I was at Live Aid. Stairway was Good.
NIE BYŁEM. ŻAŁUJĘ. TAK SUPER MUZY !!!
Пейдж как всегда в затяжном кайфе. Но как говорят, талант не пропьешь. А в общем они супер и я их обожаю.
Fourth time was the charm.
Priceless They will always be in my heart till my last breath
helt jäkla underbar konsert
WHAT A TREAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE ATLANTIC RECORD SHOW,WOW!!! I LOVE THESE GUYS . LONG LIVE THE HAMMER OF THE GODS
I was two young in 1985 to know what this meant. Still fascinating.
Thank goodness Tony Thompson's drums were turned up loud enough in the mix !
Я согласен и жалею, что ниразу небыл на концерте. Исключительно гениальная группа ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

there is a reason they are no6 of the best selling artists of all time
Я, Русский и обожаю эту группу!!!
30 years has gone since then, oh my time flies...
Lovedddddddd!
Genial!!!
They are the best of all time. Without Bonham, they're amazing, but they will never be what they were. It really is depressing.
Neil Young!!!))) "Old", but still one of the best!! I whish him all the best!! We love you!!
Fantastic! Sounds great. I recorded the entire day on VHS and still have them. THAT concert/movie is the best!!!!

Maravilhoso poder recordar essa banda memorável!
I'm shocked that Robert plant can actually play guitar as shown in this final segment.
He does a hell of a job in his playing all the way through.
Love the back stage banter with those guys, just like my mates, but way better
from Mexico led zeppelin for ever.
Led Zeppelin Reunions/valla cuatro ases, grandiosos la verdad sin palabras de categoría.
Dont understand why people consider the Atlantic 40th to be a train wreck show. Sure it wasn't there best performance but it was tolerable, much better than LiveAid.
Anthony .Varone Agree with you there! Liveaid was shocking, Quite like Kashmir at Alantic 40th!
***** ohh for sure. Especially in the 70s it was hard to replicate all those outboard gear sounds. If you ever listen to "on the run" by Floyd the studio version and live version from the 70s are completely different from one another.
+Patricia Right seeing Pink Floyd and Zeppelin at that decade is a blessing. You are very very lucky!
Anthony .Varone Thats true. Thanks for reminding me to appreciate that time in mylife. I saw all the big bands that decade. GOTTA LOVE THIS BAND.
Que emocion x dios !! Genios !!
number one band forever and always

Yes, Plant is a difficult one. I get Jimmy. I get JPJ. Plant's a complete clusterfuck. Singeritis, big ego, alpha, unpredictable - he can be an annoying bitch at times. That fact has made anything he has done post Zep only moderately at best interesting. JPJ's Zooma absolutely kicked ass. So did The Thunderthief.
Спасибо....Это легендарная группа!
THANKS LULA,,,THIS ROCKS..
Ĺed Zeppelin et Phil Collins au Drum 1985/1988/1995 FULL CONCERT 😍😎😍😎😍
1:11:00 savage haha
Page and Plant both know that Jones is the most talented guy in the group but they want all the glory to themselves.
excelente aporte! aPOTEOSICO!
FABULOUS!!:)
uuffff q chimba de mucica q viva led zeppelinnnnnnnnn
7:55 Oops, Jimmy and Phil.
Celebration Day is so much better than this. IMHO that show is a complete masterpiece. If you never listened any original Zepp albums, you could play that show in 30 yrs and still understand how great they are musically. Truly one of a kind.
compartilhou com minha infância esta banda !!
The best
