As a native English speaker in the US, I can honestly say that you have nothing to be afraid of about speaking English here. Most people in America would be so excited that you are even trying to learn English, and they would love to help you! If you are ever in a situation where you don't understand something that someone said, or if you don't know the right word for something, don't be afraid to just ask someone! People are friendlier than you think when they see that you are trying. Imagine if someone was trying to learn your native language. You would think it's really cool that someone is trying, and you would want to help them if you could! And even if they made a mistake, you might just think it's cute. English speakers will feel the same about you. Plus, they will know what you are trying to say even if you don't say it exactly right.
So don't worry! It will go better than you think it will 🙂

Try this: take a random video that you like, and it's gotta be short, like 5-10 minutes. First listen to it couple times, then write it down (the whole script) and then read it out loud trying to imitate the original speaker, his pace his intonation.. also try to exaggerate the intonation emphasizing important moments.. and be focused on the meaning! Do this couple times a day over the course of one week. Eventually, all those language structures will become yours, you will remember them so deeply you'll be able to use them naturally without thinking. After that try another video. It's all about practicing.

I've spent 8 months in argentina and I can consider myself fluent in Spanish. You have to overcome it, because it's promptly impossible to stay 5 years in a country and you are not feel comfortable when a native english speaker addresses you yet. I urge you to do yoga...

Hey guys. I am gonna tell you a great experience that i had in last 2 months.
I started to watch movies by subscribing and account on netflix . Then i watched many english movies and tried to understand the accent and the way of pronounciation. Simultaneously , i relaized that i was understanding the difficult words of the cconversations in movies. And mainly , one day i started to watch the serious - Scream. I opened up a new tab which was english translater. And inserted some difficult words that wasn't familiar with me. And continuously i watched the serious . I understood the whole story and now i can explain all the events of the serious in english. So i recommend you to watch films and learn through them. I did realize my great english mentor Anna has told this Strategy so many times in her all videos. This is a clue . So Try your best . My all credits must go with Anna. Thank you.

As a native Russian speaker who's never been to any English-speaking country I am really struggling to activate my speaking. Have no one to speak to around. Tired of consuming any content including that in English (movies, series, youtube, all that... stuff; reading is still an exception). Nothing but creating, maybe as primitive as speaking or writing-journalling, brings me joy that lasts.
Of course no time to create, so a trap. I go on reading, some online talking (cambly), and consider Anna's advice on loud self-talk seriously.

Hey Anna! I have watched lots of your informative videos here on RUclips and it made me realized that it takes a lot of hard work and patience before I can actually achieve the desires I wanted to happen. I have watched few of your videos however I learned so many things rapidly to speak english confidently and effortlessly. Thank you!

Hi anna, really you are awesome because every youtubers expect to watch video fully, but in your videos description has been mentioned with minutes in details with titles is really amazing. I appreciate your efforts and especially I thank you for mentioning the title with seconds which is very useful for the viewers, but I used to watch your videos from start to end without any skip, because all videos are very useful as well as easily understandable. Thanks a lot ANNA and great salute from my bottom of the heart...🙏🏻 I got hope that I will definitely learn English from your videos...👍🏼

If you listen to this video carefully you will realize and explore how can you help yourself in this case and what are the things you really have problem with them that don't permit you to speak with confident without fear

Omg, thank you for this video! I have been trying for months to go over my fear of speaking English, and have few times got myself to speak, but it hasn't lasted long and then i stop speaking again and another fight with myself to even say a word. And we are kind of the same, i also am a listener than a speaker. And well, now i want to try the things that you told in the video. And well, what happens when i try to speak is that i hesitate a lot and almost can't say anything and i shake a loooot. I only can be calm when i see that I'm alone, but then when theres someone in the same room 😓 theres going to be a little chance to even get me to open my mouth and say a word.
