As a native English speaker in the US, I can honestly say that you have nothing to be afraid of about speaking English here. Most people in America would be so excited that you are even trying to learn English, and they would love to help you! If you are ever in a situation where you don't understand something that someone said, or if you don't know the right word for something, don't be afraid to just ask someone! People are friendlier than you think when they see that you are trying. Imagine if someone was trying to learn your native language. You would think it's really cool that someone is trying, and you would want to help them if you could! And even if they made a mistake, you might just think it's cute. English speakers will feel the same about you. Plus, they will know what you are trying to say even if you don't say it exactly right. So don't worry! It will go better than you think it will 🙂
OMG, really Seriously(?) if it's true I'm very touched and calmed down and not afraid if I make a mistake when speaking English with native speakers because I'm not from native speaker and I still try to improved my speaking skills every single day and I hope one day I can go there🤧
My social anxiety has been getting worse and worse recently. I don't even dare to turn on my camera when attending online classes. What has happened to me? I am grateful that I found your video today. Enough is enough! We are not alone! Let's do this guys!!
1. Learn 500-1000 words on RUclips: "Oxford Picture Dictionary"/ "Easy English Vocabulary". 2. Dialogues on RUclips: "Easy English" and others: Picture - Listening - Repeating loudly - Reading Subtitles - Looking at the Google dictionary for a complete understanding of words / phrases - Repeating a Phrase until I Hear it without Subtitles - 500 Dialogues. 3. Conversation with anyone Live, by Phone, on the Internet, With yourself. 5. Finish: Advertising, Live Talk Shows, Movies, News!
when I talk to myself in my head in English, I can say a lot; but when speaking out loud I always find myself out of words or only can say short sentences. it's so frustrating.
Try this: take a random video that you like, and it's gotta be short, like 5-10 minutes. First listen to it couple times, then write it down (the whole script) and then read it out loud trying to imitate the original speaker, his pace his intonation.. also try to exaggerate the intonation emphasizing important moments.. and be focused on the meaning! Do this couple times a day over the course of one week. Eventually, all those language structures will become yours, you will remember them so deeply you'll be able to use them naturally without thinking. After that try another video. It's all about practicing.
Really a deep and honest talk. Good job and thanks. Even though I am a 45-year-old man, I have been felling these bad feelings after decades of studying English. Except that, recently, I decided to change my mindset, especially not to care so much about another opinion and not bowing when I make a mistake.
Fear, anxiety, phobias - all of them stop us in so many ways. Neuroplasticity however, tells us that a lot is in our hands in we can change many of our reactions using psychological hacks.
There are lots of valuable tips that she gave us in her video. There are many people who mock you by saying you don't live in an English country which speaks English in a natural spoken English in their schedule life. We can overcome that struggles and speak... only you have to do is to speak. Very good tips.
Thank you for your informative video, Anna! Although I'm living in an English speaking country for 5 years, I'm too afraid of speaking in English with native speakers and I almost give up on my English learning journey. Your video inspires me and I promise myself to overcome my fear. I look forward to watch other your English Fluency Journey videos!
Put it in mind that many woud like to be in your shoes. it's been 5 years you are in there and you cannot feel comfortable to speak with? I've spent 8 months in argentina and I can consider myself fluent in Spanish. You have to overcome it, because it's promptly impossible to stay 5 years in a country and you are not feel comfortable when a native english speaker addresses you yet. I urge you to do yoga... Hey guys. I am gonna tell you a great experience that i had in last 2 months. I started to watch movies by subscribing and account on netflix . Then i watched many english movies and tried to understand the accent and the way of pronounciation. Simultaneously , i relaized that i was understanding the difficult words of the cconversations in movies. And mainly , one day i started to watch the serious - Scream. I opened up a new tab which was english translater. And inserted some difficult words that wasn't familiar with me. And continuously i watched the serious . I understood the whole story and now i can explain all the events of the serious in english. So i recommend you to watch films and learn through them. I did realize my great english mentor Anna has told this Strategy so many times in her all videos. This is a clue . So Try your best . My all credits must go with Anna. Thank you.
It used to happen to me all the time when I was having a conversation with someone but then I realized that that was something I shouldn't be ashamed of, before I star speaking the first thing I do is to take a deep breath and relax for a little bit then I remember all the tips I have been taught to speak english....greetings from honduras everybody 🇭🇳

Thanks for these excellent tips, Anna! This is more like a self-improvement video than an English class. For every skill that we have to achieve in life, speaking English is no different, as you said. To speak in public is very challenging for me, I usually do not have to do this on my job, but it's a very useful and necessary skill. Yoga and meditation is helping me to be more conscious of myself and also my breathing.
I have been learning english for many years, but when I tried to spoke with native english speakers, I was so shy. Until now, I don't know what should I do to overcome my fear. I hope I can overcome my fear through your advices in this video.
In my case, I know I can speak a little English, but now my biggest difficulty is to understand spoken English at the natural pace, and it is more important I think.
Listen to native speakers on a daily basis. If you feel that their normal speed is uncomfortable for you, just slow down the playback speed and escalate the speed gradually. Definitely it's gonna work ✌️👍

Yes, sometimes the ideas of the other people can influence our way to learn English but not only learn if not our way in the life. Then We've the power inside. Thanks for this tips.
As a native Russian speaker who's never been to any English-speaking country I am really struggling to activate my speaking. Have no one to speak to around. Tired of consuming any content including that in English (movies, series, youtube, all that... stuff; reading is still an exception). I have watched few of your videos however I learned so many things rapidly to speak english confidently and effortlessly. Thank you!
Hi anna, really you are awesome because every youtubers expect to watch video fully, but in your videos description has been mentioned with minutes in details with titles is really amazing. I appreciate your efforts and especially I thank you for mentioning the title with seconds which is very useful for the viewers, but I used to watch your videos from start to end without any skip, because all videos are very useful as well as easily understandable. Thanks a lot ANNA and great salute from my bottom of the heart...🙏🏻 I got hope that I will definitely learn English from your videos...👍🏼
If you listen to this video carefully you will realize and explore how can you help yourself in this case and what are the things you really have problem with them that don't permit you to speak with confident without fear
Omg, thank you for this video! I have been trying for months to go over my fear of speaking English, and have few times got myself to speak, but it hasn't lasted long and then i stop speaking again and another fight with myself to even say a word. And we are kind of the same, i also am a listener than a speaker. And well, now i want to try the things that you told in the video. And well, what happens when i try to speak is that i hesitate a lot and almost can't say anything and i shake a loooot. I only can be calm when i see that I'm alone, but then when theres someone in the same room 😓 theres going to be a little chance to even get me to open my mouth and say a word.

Hey Anna! I have watched lots of your informative videos here on RUclips and it made me realized that it takes a lot of hard work and patience before I can actually achieve the desires I wanted to happen.
You are totally right!
Hi i am from India and I want to be fluent like you. And thank you for sharing another useful video. They are always useful
💝.... don't know why.. but it's crystal clear that I'm not gonna listen anyone's videos(relevant to english learning) except You!
✨
