How neat! I bet you could get the same effect with normal cake mix, frosting, and bottled strawberry syrup (or cherry pie filling) if you want it to be more like a cake with some extra flavor, while still having it easy. Either way, it's definitely cheaper than Williams Sonoma!

I agree on a 8x8 pan. It would have been so thin with a 9x9. I love how you describe the texture that of a Jiffy cornbread and I love that it has that sugar grit! I’m definitely looking for this! What a fun recipe for Halloween. 👻 Thanks for a great review.
