God bless you! I’m so sorry your recovery was so hard. I haven’t had the surgery yet, but I’m preparing for it. I’m really small too and have all the same symptoms you described. Thank you for sharing, and for all the great tips about what I can look out for post OP. I’m grateful and hope you are doing so much better now🤍
I know its been a long time but it very helpful i just had this surgery 3 weeks ago. I didnt know i cant have suger . Thank you because i still felt my throat irritated. Its prob the suger
I belch a lot. Even if I hadn’t eaten anything for a while. And when I wake up I need to burp. It’s so weird I don’t really have acid reflux and I know I don’t swallow air.
with everything you've said, I think I'll live with the acid reflux and regurgitation, that has terrified me to my core! I have very bad anxiety, so, this operation is not good for me in the slightest, your not the only video I've watched, pain and me dont go well, I have a high pain threshold, i juat don't want it now! everyone says their pain is 10 out of 10, and I do not like things like morphine etc, it gives me panic attacks, i hate the feeling of pain medications like that, so i think I'm going to skip this, the fear is what puts me off.
Surgeon must make the difference!ihad hiatel hernia Gerd and stomach pulled down to get hernia and esophagus straightened. I had ice chips sipped water. Sipped bone broth two full weeks after that I started smooth yogurt. Protein drinks and main thing was bad shoulder and neck pain. Thurs weekmashed pot and applesauce is where I’m at not. Going into 4 the week I had Wis dr gould
@@nataranja3030 Did you get the cTIF? I'm getting that done. How did it go? Did you have any esophagus spasms after the surgery? Appreciate your input to the surgery. Thank you. I'll be 73 soon.
Sorry to hear you can't eat well. Question were you able to eat well before surgery.? Because it taje 6 weeks for swelling to go down .it will get better ea day.
@@byankacovarrubias2689 well, my reflux is gone but still feeling burning in stomach which could be a separate issue. But the reflux and regurgitation is gone. The pain associated with surgery is much better, but my issue now is burning in stomach now. It's hard to tell if that's from the surgery or something I just always had....
Hi, thanks for your video. What was the reason for your surgery? I'm having a partial fundoplication next week. I have chronic reflux and a hiatus hernia. What country are you in? Thanks 🙂
I’m 4 months post op now and im doing so much better. The surgery is extremely worth it even though the first month is miserable. However life with it is still an adjustment because you can no longer vomit and you have to be careful what you eat and how to chew it properly
I only hope I can avoid this surgery , there's multiple multiple horror stories about this surgery. I can't understand why they haven't been sued for negligence.

I had surgery and the pain was not bad at all after the surgery. I didn't even need to take the pain medication.
Thanks for sharing your story. I was recently approved for antireflux surgery but I’m scared.

Hello miss. Are you still symptom free?. Do you still get heartburn/acid reflux?
I’m getting this done on 6th March because my medication is not working anymore so many different views on this surgery on here.
How was recovery?
Been ok actually only get the odd burping from time to time but way better than when I was before.
Had this surgery June 1st 2022. The pain in my stomach wrap hurts a lot. Hoping it subsides!
It does. You can get it periodically after, especially when eating, but not as bad. The first month is the worst. It gets a lot easier after month 1!
