Anyone else just watch these and nothing else? I don’t even watch flats’ OW content unless it’s something important or game changing 😭
REAL 🗣🔥🔥🔥
Same
I'm definitely on the Flats react or storyline train
The only ow stuff I watch is cheaters, customs and funny full group content. The normal comp games are boring af
I wish he’d branch out of OW he’s very entertaining
I think the big reason why we're seeing Ghost Pepper sauces be both more common and more mild is due to sauce manufacturers valuing taste rather than spice. Sure, it's still spicy, but when hotter peppers came along and usurped its throne as the spiciest pepper, making super hot sauces with Ghost Pepper fell out of favor, so they pivoted to the pepper's innate flavor. After all, if you want the hottest sauce you could put in a bottle, it's only natural to start with the hottest peppers.
I think it's less about taste and more about marketing and supply. Before the early 2000s ghost peppers were rarely grown outside of India, then Guiness World Records in 2007 popularised it as the 'Hottest Pepper in the World' and popularity boomed, farms over the world rushed to grow it and marketed it as the spiciest hot sauce. Following the trend Carolina Reapers in 2013 and other peppers became super popular, it was a mini hot sauce cultural revolution. Like mid 2010s, farms are still pumping out hot peppers and want to diversify so they make less spicy ghost pepper flavoured sauces for a bigger market. Hot sauce culture stuck and places like Popeyes jumped on a marketing buzz word, be it like 10 years after it's huge popularity.
As a Canadian I had no idea that buttering your bread wasn’t the standard practice. Salted butter on bread with peanut butter or by itself is DIVINE
Fellow Canadian here - i used to LIVE off of butter and PB sandwiches!!
lmao "Hot honey go hard"
He is not wrong
8:09 I'm dying with Flats with that microwave XD
I love how judgy Flats is about his ratings for sandwiches, but isn't even the one eating them to properly judge them
4:40 - ghost peppers have different varieties and also they get watered down a lot for those kind of sauces. There are ghost pepper crossbreeds with jalapeno that aren't much worse than jalapeno is but they're still used to call the sauce "ghost pepper sauce" for marketing reasons. Actual ghost peppers are nuts to the "normal" taste buds.
The brand dice going into dice jail was just... my word. Fitting for that gagging sammich.
@Flats the high influx of Thai food in America over the past decade or two has really helped to increase the spice tolerance of society as a whole
lmao no
@@Novafan deny it all you want. The influx of Thai food in America is actually really interesting and was a plot y the Thai government
You are just making up information. While the government did subsidize thai restaurants, the spice level was specifically reduced to a level where Americans can enjoy. You are just making a false correlation based on your limited knowledge of the topic.
@@Arun_Baliga yeah dude knows nothing about cuisine. Even when I ask for it to be hot at thai restaurants its still pussy levels. You gotta ask for it in they language (if it's real thai people in there) for them to make it some real shit. Also, a new cuisine coming in ain't gonna somehow change a whole populations baseline spice tolerance, especially when not every dish is spicy and many people don't ask for it to be truly spicy
@@Arun_Baliga it's still much hotter than most Americans are used to, and over the past 2 decades, I have seen many more spicy and super spicy options come through almost every chain here. So ya, it definitely seems like the average spice tolerance of American society has greatly increased and I do believe that the Thai food explosion I've seen has a hand in that.
Ive been binging these super hard the past week, and im so glad he uploaded another today it's a blessing
We love Count Flatsula
That last sandwich honestly got me close to puking
That opening sandwich sounds like one I need to make. Maybe not the Ghost Pepper sauce, a little milder, but that sounds amazing.
Honestly, I've had this problem with roll for sandwich for a long time. With regards to his rating system. It's almost like an IGN method where they don't want to be too cruel. So something that's absolute dumpster fire only gets like a 5.8. and anything that makes you smile is up in the high eights and nines
That first sandwich looks amazing, I am very tempted to go make it myself
there's a huge variation, i jokingly bit into a habanero we grew in the uni green house, it was so hot i almost vomited, and i hadn't even touched any seeds and usually habaneros are on the lower end of the super hot chilies. i suspect that often the really top end hot chilies aren't always as spicy as you find mentioned on the net, those are more likely records etc.
In terms of spicy foods, yes, they've been getting cooled down a bit. Back when ghost pepper was "the hottest thing," and you couldn't actually get it anyway normally, you had to get ghost pepper sauces from specialty shops. I got a bottle from one (love spicy food, spicier the better), and it was the proper amount of hot. It's definitely a taste over spice thing.
For context, microwaves dont cause cancer! They do not use radiowaves to irradiate your food, but simply to vibrate the water molecules which causes friction to heat your meal up. The only danger of microwaving your food is eating gross food. ❤
Trinidad scorpion got buried by the reaper.
There's a new one called " Pepper X " which is hotter than The Pepper spray used by police.
@@thelividdeads i must consume this new pepper.
@@rock_it3685 good luck, you literally can't even handle it without thick Nitrile gloves.
@@thelividdeads il make sure to protect my hands with papercuts. And wipe the sweat out of my eyes after i take a bite.
That rum and Bologna joke killed me haha!
yooO! Roll for Sandwich using Penzy's spice, is the best thing I've heard all day. Penzy's makes the best seasonings ive ever used. Big shout out for their Justice seasoning blend, Sandwich Sprinkle, and their Arizone Dreaming blend.
why did i enjoy this so much?
When you make hot sauces, depending on the mixture it can tone down the spiciness level.
The potency of the ghost pepper sauce likely largely depends on how much they put in.
i love the title of the video being the worst christmas sandwich you've ever seen cuz like which one was the worse they were all atrocious
It’s because the extract or pepper itself is what’s actually spicy. When spice is cooked into something it can be diluted.
As a German we consider Stollen more as Cake and not Bread. But looks interesting?
Anyone else think of the Peruvian puff pepper from Drake and Josh
yeah there's ghost pepper stuff that has very low concentration. I have a finishing salt with Ghost Pepper and it's like 10 times hotter than my habenero finishing sugar, but it hits slower. Habeneroes hits fast right on the tongue, and then the Ghost Pepper sneaks up and hits you all around, especially in your sinuses. IT's delicious, but it hits hard. But I get my finishing salts from like a fancy spice shop so they get really high quality ingredients...
Curry powder in chicken salad is lit.
my fav guilty pleasure is back
I think the reason why some of the hot sauces are not as hot as you expect is because some of the capsaicin (the chemical that makes you go " it's spicy") is probably neutralised by the other ingredients.
Many of the hot sauces that advertise having ghost pepper, scorpion, or reaper use a very very small amount in the sauce. It's more of a way to advertise while the main pepper is something less spicy like cayanne.
Honestly I love that "bread" from the Tok, I like rum so I don't mind 🤷♂️
Many of these Pepper sauces are diluted with other peppers ingredients. The peppers themselves are still very spicy but for most consumption they are used in small quantity.
Allergies and personal preferences aside which is better ham or turkey?
There’s is a correct answer and I want it
I tried Limburger cheese once. My mom used to tell stories of how her dad would make limburger, braunschweiger (liver sausage), and onion sandwiches. I was like, surely, there must be some redeeming quality to this cheese.
It tastes like how a county fair's livestock barn smells. Dirty hay and animal shit. That's the flavor.
The holidays are a curse for this sandwich guy xD
goodluck to that dude with heard his roomate having fun 13:38
This is
The most agony I've ever felt watching RFS
I've genuinely never felt this way before, i was fearing for my fucking life
the ghost pepper sauces obviously aren't as strong as the straight up pepper. probably uses flavoring or a very small amount of ghost pepper
It amazed me how each sandwich gets worse and worse! Also, Flats' list didn't even grow on this episode 😂
Its called Wild Magic for a reason, everyones acting surprised
8:35 the sandwich made like orisa and got nuked
the thing with ghost pepper sauce is its not just raw pepper, the sauces and seasonings is like a died down sauce, but just raw pepper is way to much, its like coffee, its good but just raw coffee beans is strong and bitter as hell
i got melinda’s 10 pack minis and it’s not bad love the pizza hot sauce on a slice of pizza
That was the runniest eggnog i have ever seen
i feel his pain
Here’s what I got to say… I have made microwave grilled cheese before several times. Not I grilled it then put it in the microwave just bread cheese cheese cheese bread microwave. I don’t do this anymore. But I did this because I didn’t know how to work the oven and didn’t feel like burning the house down. Love your content.
Calling that grilled cheese has to be some sort of felony
@@snovaspectre2 hey I just like my melted cheese lol
in the last one the worst part was calling stolle bread in my opinion
Well yeah, when you make something with those peppers, typically you're adding different flavoured ingredients which tend to lower the heat. If you ain't the pepper straight up, you'd hate life for a while.
I love ghost Pepper flavoured things because I believe it's one of the best tasting peppers, however i wouldn't eat it straight up. I already made that mistake with the Carolina Reaper.
When are we going to get the flats and roll for sandwich collab?
13:05 I would not give that sandwich to my worst enemy that looks disgusting every role. Everything on that sandwich is horrible. You could not pay me enough money to eat a bite of that sandwich. It is insane that he even bit it and ate it whole. I am very impressed. Shout outs to you
It’s usually only a small amount of ghost pepper. On top of that, it depends heavily on genes and personal experience. I’m middle eastern and me and my family have eaten very spicy foods my whole life so eating a raw ghost pepper even isn’t too bad to me but my friend who’s white and didn’t grow up eating spicy foods dies at simple spices like Takis and Siracha
Bro first view 36s notification goes hard
The first one is 100/10 and every other one is 0/10, This is the craziest episode I've ever seen.
As a British person i never have just bread i must have butter otherwise it's not a sandwich in my mind
if we put flats in the micowave he be good at overwatch 2 only time hes cooking
please more RFS!!! :)
Flats, have you had the Carolina Reaper Cheetos? They sound very intimidating, considering that's literally the hottest pepper in the world. But it's actually not that bad. If you've had regular spicy cheetos, they are practically on par with each other.
You're not getting lied to about ghost peppers, they're as hot as they've always been. "Power creep" in pepper breeding and gmo's overall just means new pepper strains have been invented that're way hotter than anything on planet earth 20 years ago
I guarantee you will like the pickles in your chicken salad. Gotta try it at least once
Its a peppercini. As in pepper-see-nee, right?
Its 0.5 cause our 0 is the tentacle incident
Chicken salad needs veg haha , chicken and mayo is chicken mayo lol
When will your horizon play thru be uploaded?
I’m eating caramel rice cakes while watching this 👍
Tuna is delicious.
Maybe not in America.
Stollen is not bread. here in Germany it's a type of Cake.
I feel like the ghost pepper that keeps finding its way into stuff nowadays is a weaker version. I had ghost pepper yesrs ago and oh boy it kicked. You can get that burger King burger or those popeye nuggets and bleh its bland
Cursed Sandwich Run
Aint nothing flat about this guy
nothing I have ever had that is "ghost pepper" Or anything like that is never hotter then a jalapeno, if even that hot.
It's 0.5 because there wasn't ketchup on it
This sandwich’s are just what Massachusetts are we are. If you want good sandwiches go to Rhode Island my fellow Sigmas
How did flats come to watch this series, it's highly entertaining but random.
I’d say that Carolina reaper are the hottest pepper
I feel like we've seen this already, havent we? Or am I trippin? Cuz its only bee out for roughly 9 hours as of this comment, but i feel like I watched this a few days ago
this dude just drowns his sandwiches in lettuce
I should really stop eating when I watch these.
Love sandwich 👍
Roll for sandwiche more like roll for punishment
wait american dont butter the bread on a sandwhich im canadian i didnt know that
I'm American and I do it, I LOVE GENERALIZATION WOOOOOOOOOO
Ofc hes watching videos about food lol
I’m confused why is this Christmas themed
You have not eaten a real ghost pepper
@Flats I tried some Avocados recently a total of 3 times and It tasted so bad every time was worse than the one before so now Avocados are on my "never again" list next to Mint and Saffron" these things don't taste good people are trying to gaslight me.
Why are you so afraid of microwaves?!?
It's completely normal to put a sandwich into a microwave.
Hot and soggy lettuce is an atrocity
what have I just watched???
with his ratings you can see that his taste buds are just gone and he no longer can taste how nasty something really is so everything is just mild to him now.
Yall Americans calling that cardboard Gingerbread omg.
This hurt to watch... every sandwich was garbage
I just want consistency in the rating. I'm not going to belittle the person who actually ate the sandwich, but you can't just throw out a number without explaining yourself and he does it very poorly
Flats can hit top 500, but not understand the ratio of peppers in sauce.
Rock bottom
May get a lot of hate for this bit, buttered bread is overrated, mainly because butter is overrated, sure its nice every now and rhen or when used inndishes rhat call for it but it doesnt need to be on everything, especially not sanwiches, no need to give the bread nore reasons to get soggy.
Overwatch is so dried of content we resort to this now 😢
Those were awful.
Lol Limburger is a mild cheese that tastes fine, y'all need to calm down.
