Can I do a termite job with this?

Question? We have one of these exact models at work and we are having an issue where if the spray nozzle is closed it builds so much pressure it literally blows the line on the reel. If we open both valves at the pump the pressure is almost nothing so we close the non regulated valve to get correct pressure.
We are trying to make this a one man job so any help is appreciated.
