The Quran will be a great source of solace to both you men then there's the gym, always been a real buzz for me when I've been in nick. Reading, don't know if it's the digital nature of modern life that does or I just lack discipline but I really motor through books when I'm doing time. Last time I was in I read, "Life of a Useless Man" by Maxim Gorky and "A Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley to name just a few. Then, as you get into your sentence and you've developed routine you can get a job which offer a variety of opportunities, increased freedom and in some cases, if your that way inclined a chance to make some clandestine money and drugs. Also the British Secret Service will be providing them with a fuck off huge canteen for taking part in the operation! So yeah, drugs if you want them, go to work, go to bed and repeat. Just like your life you sad cow except without the exercise, spirituality and books. You just live in an invisible prison.

I don't really like the idea of a death penalty. For one, I don't think the UK government can be trusted with life and death matters. Secondly, I hate the idea of an innocent person being wrongly executed.
But for rare circumstances like these, where the crime so is horrendous AND it's *absolutely certain* without a shadow of a doubt that they're guilty, then I think they deserve to be drawn and quartered.

Lee Rigby was 500yards from the army barracks entrance, headed towards the barracks, on the road where the barracks is. What the murderers saw was a physically fit looking young man, with short hair carrying an arm issue ruck sack. I ask you what's the chances this guy they saw where they saw him was a soldier?

atomictom atomman That's a valid argument. Our (UK) life sentence is variable along with the conditions of parole. However, to be convicted of a second murder after parole for the first is justifiable for the death penalty.
+nolelox There are just some crimes that warrant the death penalty, all countries should have it for certain crimes.
atomictom atomman Sorry but I disagree. I say that due a certain amount of distrust of the police making evidence fit rather than evidence proving.
As a juror say, I would be mortified to present a guilty verdict only to find out years later the verdict was based on corrupt evidence, especially if my guilty verdict lead to a death.
