Your gravel bike looks amazing. That route was pretty challenging for sure with some sandy pits and paths disappearing in bushes. Nice ride. Love your videos.
That was fun!!…yeah you’ve got to expect anything and everything when you take it off road, you did great!…maybe a set of Rene Herse Fleecer Ridge could help with the sand, anticipating what’s coming up and trying to be in the right gear is usually my focus when I ride new routes, the soundtrack was really fun too!…thanks for sharing!…😀😎
Not sure where my first comment disappeared to. I use Google Keep to keep a checklist for my rides. I've been a victim of my forgetfulness too many times. And I love your jersey! 😍
Thanks 😍 It was actually one of my first jerseys and years later, I still love wearing it. A checklist on Google is a good idea, haha. Have a great day!
Things start to get pretty sandy in Brandenburg this time of the year and Komoot can’t really differentiate between a 2km sand trap and a good stretch of gravel. For new routes I have had more success following folks on Strava and adapting their routes. Stuck with it, some wonderful riding out there.
@@AlineGoesCycling Komoot works pretty well where I live but it did sometimes recommend some undoable routes, I found the best solution is to double check the route against Strava's heat map function. If the route has plenty of blue its a safe bet, if the route is a pale blue or just white probably un-rideable. I have done some pretty hard MTB routes on the same bike but I avoid trails that are too rocky or technical.
Love your videos. I am wanting a giant revolt advanced exactly like what you have but my local bike shop has been having great difficulty in getting them in.
Sorry to hear! Maybe better news by now? I wanted to recommend the store in Italy where I bought it, but I just saw that they're not even selling Giants anymore 😢
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. I can't even tell if it was an easy or an intense ride because I don't have any other rides to compare it with haha
Find deine Videos toll. Möchte im Sommer meine erste größere Tour starten, da gibst du mir super Motivation. :) Grüße aus dem Süden Österreichs 👋
Check for nose polys if your nose 👃 🤧 running.Your showing me some beautiful parts of Berlin .Maybe next holidays l will bring my bike there for cycling holiday.
Beautiful bike. I am also thinking of buying the same. I have doubts regarding which size to buy though. I am 170cms tall, do you think this M size would fit me as well as i read in the comments that you are 171cms tall.
Hey, that's really tough to say because it's different for everyone. I think size S would've been good for me, too, but I personally like it when the bike is a bit bigger. If that's good for my body is another question, but so far everything has been great. I would recommend looking at shops that have similar models (maybe versions from last year) and just try them out!
Hey Hannah! I bought it online from a store in Südtirol, Papin Sports. They still have some in stock, I think! It's very hard to find bikes at the moment, that's true. Hope it works out for you, gravel is so much fun :) Pro tip: Just sign up for notifications on a bunch of bikes at different online stores and they will let you know when a model is back in stock. That's how it worked for me 🙌🏻
These bikes are amazing u can get a second set of wheels made up with same rear cogs but with slicker tyres if when ur doing just road switch them out but most reviews on them say there just as fast as road bikes even either the bigger tyres plus u make up for we bit slack going up hills u make up for lost time there

Thank you! Yeah it was challenging but fun :)
Beautifully edited and a wonderful ride! Thanks for taking us on this trip, Aline!
Thank you so much 🥰
Beautiful ride! Such nice trails (and a few tree trunks to navigate around).
Thank you! The trails are fun, for sure
Man...I'm eagerly waiting for mine! Same color and setup! Thanks for the videos! I absolutely love the color.
Yesss the color is amazing. Did you receive yours by now?
@@AlineGoesCycling nope my eta keeps getting pushed back. Now it's December :(
@@jltansy Oh no :( The current bike situation is so unfortunate!
Great Video Aline, beautiful trails. Makes me want to ride
Go for it 😎

Always enjoy your videos and such a nice area of Germany you live in. I feel for you suffering with allergies, must make everything even harder!
It does, but maybe I should get some meds for it. Or just wait it out 😄 Glad you enjoy the videos!

Following other people and their routes is probably a good idea. I still got some routes that a friend recommended, so will try these out soon, too :)

🙋Hello from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 🙏 .. Nice video 😀👍. Btw , Solo ride 😱 ? where is this location ?
It's somewhere outside of Berlin! I enjoy solo rides, they're very peaceful!
Nice video!!! I also live in Berlin!! How did you get this bike? Via Giant? It’s so hard to find a gravel bike!

Medium bike correct? What size frame bag?
Usw. Tolles Video!
Genau 😁 Danke dir!
This was great, I carry a mask in my bike bag all the time just in case .
That's a smart approach and I should probably do the same. Thanks for watching, Leticia!
How tall are you and what is the size of the bike?
I'm 171 cm tall and the bike size is M

i just got the same bike color and everything lol
How is the speed like on this bike? Can it go as fast as a roadbike on tarmac?
That depends on how strong you are, I guess 😄 But generally, I'd say that the resistance is a bit higher because of the bigger tires
