We and my friend watched a couple of your videos and it encouraged us to make are on trap line and we did and we sold fur and so fare we got over 200 dollars.so thank you for encouraging us
Thanks a lot for all the help, bud. I've never trapped before, but I've wanted to try for a long time now, never had the place to do it. Maybe this will be the year I start!!
Excellent job on the pest control videos that you put out lotta knowledge that you gave me for doing what I have to do but thanks again for your videos
Great videos Sam! Quick question, how much dog food do you put in the bait stations? That would be a lot of dog food if you filled up 100 5 gallon containers so I'm assuming 10% full?
Burger King Style Trapping - Good. If you are in the right place, you can, as we call it..."Buy a Salad Bar". 'Lands Available for Taxes'. With a little self-supplied research on the titles I have picked up 80x575', we improved into our "Dove Gallery", a single wide mobile lot on a canal leading to a hard to access lake, a triangle on a lake where pro bass tournaments are held and a 3/4 acre lot butting a 3,000 ac. municipal wellfield area where only hiking is allowed. I trapped hogs and had a stand there for years. These lots have been a + for me, I hope others will look for like opportunities. Worth remembering "You can't buy property cheaper than for back taxes".
I have been setting up on sign for several years , just not catching the numbers I know that exists. Gonna try this method this year. Blue Ridge Mountains NC , thanks for the video.
So if you set these things up on a smaller area ,,say the center of the property ...will it draw coons from outside of your area ,,,,or should you trap the perimeter so it doesnt draw coons to your spot to hunt ?
Thanks for the video!!!!! What kind of sets do you make on the paths to the feeder???? Footholds, DP's or something else??? Thanks again for your videos!!
I'm going to start trapping this year. Once I flesh the pelt and get it on a stretching board, you're supposed to store the fur in a room that's 40°-60°. The problem is I do not have a place nor the money to keep a room that cold all the time. My question is can you keep the fur in colder or warmer temperatures? If not, could I hang them in a refrigerator that's cranked up to about 40°? Any response is helpful. Thanks.
I caught a coon with a live trap/marshmallows next to a feeder. There are two more on camera that won’t go in the live trap. Will they reach into a dog proof for dry dog food when there is already dog food available in the feeder? Or should I try marshmallows in the dog proof?
Thanks. I learned a lot. Do you ever use the hide? 7 decades of wearing Stetsons and the last 4 of using Cabella hunting caps, I know I need more fur on top and have wanted a coon skin cap since I was 5 years old. I'd like to make one but aren't sure of the best method of tanning. Could probably look around for the old whole Earth Catalog to find out. I did a less than perfect job tanning deer hide. Probably a bit more knowledge and I'd have a fine deerskin jacket.
I know this is old, but for anyone else that might be wondering the same thing: make sure it's a coon or an actual pest and not someone's cat or something, then take a 220 conibear and set it in a bucket laid on it's side (look up #220 conibear bucket set for instructions on how to set it up). Toss your bait in the bucket and leave it in the attic, and you'll have your coon with no need to shoot it and put a hole in your attic. BE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT NONE OF YOUR PETS CAN GET INTO THAT ATTIC, A CONIBEAR WILL KILL THEM. Make sure you find and seal whatever entrance they used to get in when you're sure you got 'em all, where there's one there's more. Or you could just make sure they're not in the attic, and seal their entrance up to take care of the problem that way.
Sam, your in wisconsin right? I'm just wondering where the feeders fall in legally...? I'm assuming there ok to use because its not sight exposed bait?
didn't know you were from Wisconsin, i have been watchng your videos and someone suggested this video to me and im a beginner and also live in Wisconsin
could you tell me what the make and model of that gun is? Also, going to implement this this year. Built my own style of feeders but I think its all the same idea.. Thanks for the vid
need to switch to coyote and bobcat this year. russia buys most of the koon and they are at 70 rubles to the dollor vs 30 last year and it sucked last year.
I made a bait station and have it placed on the edge of five acres of woods. It’s been up for one week and I have no coons on camera. What do you think?
KUDOS to you for not patronizing factory farming and you kill your own meat. I wish all meat eaters would do that, especially raccoons. I can't stand those pests. They are attracted to my banana trees and blueberries.
OK, SOOO, WTH DO U DO IF UR ASS IS IN OHIO, LIKE MYSELF, AND THE WHOLE, SMALL WOODLOT THAT YOU HAVE IS COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY A DAM CORNFIELD............ WTH, DO I DOO!!!!!!

Angel Guzman Use dry cat food for bait. Order Dog Proof traps from PCS Outdoors. They have an aluminum one that is great.
