    1 steel beam bolt to ground might not be so strong. But when you bolt all the frame properly, it is strong enough as a house structure

    They're using the new technic and materials like Europe and other industrialized countries. I like the idea it's fast, light but strong finish. I hope this technic will soon be applied to the Philippines.

      Do houses built this way can withstand typhoons and earthquakes ? PH is prone to those kind of natural disasters and i genuinely wonder if it (construction approach) is suitable to the country.

    Whether its a model house or not, you can't still sacrifice safety! You just bolted your I-Beam column on a ground floor slab...:)

    people who are saying it's made of foam, it isn't, these are readymade blocks that are now used for faster construction, it lowers the cost of the project by saving labour and walls are more consistent than brick walls, but what I didn't understand why columns are bolted on the ground instead of burying 30% in the foundation and bolting it there ? why didn't they welded the joints after bolting them?

    This is absolutely air quake proof....u bolted your i beam to an 8 to 10 inches slabs of concrete and nothing but foam blocks instead hollow blocks..foam materials is use in the new now a days brigdges and flooring foundation..
    Same principle of cargo container house or cube house..less solid materials
    Upper Flooring is all plywood installed into angle bar..
    Steel I beam is more expensive but less labor and time.. not like pouring concrete columns prep and waiting time until it get driy.. one way or onother its a 5 star..

    I think this could not withstand the earthquake in s.e. asia, for the foundation beams are merely bolted to the concrete slab...
    I am also wondering if the pre fabricated hollow panels can protect the beams from fire, once a fire starts the beam could bend or worst melt...
    Any country in s.e. asia who approves of this construction is asking for disaster.
    I think sip panels are stronger than this.
    However, if the beams are buried deep and you pour a concrete, then welded the adjoining beams, and use sip as panels this could work

    • @jjalandoon
      @jjalandoon 6 лет назад +4

      Once the i-beams are bolted together they form a strong cubical structure. For sure the building will not fall in an eathquake. But if the bolts get unfastened by the sideward movements of the quake it will go out of alignment.
      Now would i do the same foundation building technique of just drilling and bolting. No i will not. A pier is easy to construct with rebars and bolts to support it.

    • @harikumarv4658

      @@Kongumathesh lol! They might not break but they will definitely collapse! Due to their connection, the members are more like pinned to the ground and they will easily hinge while facing a lateral load. The entire steel frame can just collapse due to shift in loads upon lateral movements.

    • @hannahtulsettt
      @hannahtulsettt 4 года назад +12

      It has foundation actually. That's how you attached steel frames. There are other methods but this is the one often used. The steel frames were not bolted or attached to an ordinary floor, it is attached to a concrete slab which has foundations underneath. The foundations were designed to carry the steel frames when the frames are bolted to it. Even the number and kind of bolts to be used are design to carry the design loads of the structure. There's nothing to worry about.

    • @emypena

      @@hannahtulsettt This method is inadequate considering lateral loads. The steel posts really ought to be connected to the foundation via the base plates using J-type anchor bolts embedded in concrete pedestals.
