Summer Day in NYC | Family of 6 | Brooklyn Flea & Dumbo | Slow Living in NYC

Hi Friends!
We're back this week with a video of us holding on to the final days of summer. We're not ready to let go into the coming seasons quite yet, so come and enjoy some of the best of Brooklyn in the summer. After running some errands, we hang out in Dumbo, try to make it to the flea market, and want to ride the carousel. Does it all go as planned? Knowing us, probably not! But we certainly give it our best shot and improvise along the way! Join us for another slice of life day in NYC :)

Hi, Patrice! Sharing your family outing was very enjoyable! "Seeing" the city through your children's eyes was delightful! Your oldest is remarkably mature.
Yes, I totally get the collecting rocks "thing." When I began my second move north nearly two decades ago, my rock collection, all 50+ pounds of it, sadly had to go. When I pick up a random rock now, the pain of that abandonment returns. Most times, it moves me to toss the latest "find." Very few specimens pass that litmus test. ⛏
The view of the cityscape brightly lit at night produced a sudden wave of nostalgia. Not so much for the view itself, but for those years when I felt stronger than I do now, and also sadness for the departed.

I wish my kids would look after their rock collection as well as you though. Instead I pick them up from all over the apartment 😂 But seriously, I also have my special collection - mostly from the beach.

I feel you on the night owl lol. I can’t hang that long lol. I’m going to my company trip with the kids to the zoo plan to have fun but not hanging all day lol. We are a family of 7 with the youngest 1 yr old lol. 4 hour max 😂then nap time for everyone
