Looked a pretty reasonable trans atlantic flight probably no better or worse than any other UK originated flight, personally I still prefer BA over any American airline, that 777 was pretty old but seat and let room looked good. Connecting flight switch went well.
Yeah fairly average sort of stuff. Like you I’d typically pick the UK carriers, they’re typically often the least worst option across the pond. Great legroom however in those seats but as you say, quite tired 777!
Great video, thanks for the review. Does AA give amenity kits on long hauls in economy? Flying SYD-LAX next month and would like to know, as the last couple of times I flew with Qatar and Emirates, and their amenities were pretty good. Thanks
You’re very welcome. Sadly, I’ve never seen them. Amenity kits back in economy are becoming such a rarity these days. I did get something with JetBlue I recall recently but with American, I’m sure like with BA in economy they’ve died out years ago. If you’re looking for an eye mask or similar however, I’m sure on request you might get lucky ☺️
I think you were lucky to be on such a lightly loaded flight between LHR and LAX. If the flight was full I doubt the experience would have been the same. I'd appreciate the extra leg room but the rest of the American Airlines offering looks mediocre at best to me.
Would’ve lost out on the lovely sleep for sure! That all being said, the seats are pretty spacious regardless. Food and entertainment in need of some cosmetic upgrades beyond much else :)
At 5”3 I’d hope you’d be ok. I’m 5”11 so I’ll let you take a quick look at me in the standard seat (shown shortly after take off) and see what you think. You may however appreciate more space regardless as it’s better as the person in front reclines etc. If you have higher status levels you can choose the better seats free of charge 😊

I have disability with my knee I am only 5'3 would would you I'd have enough room or go for prem still. Cabin looks good
