I've heard good things of Piscifun reels. I may try one of them out in the near future. But for now, I tend to be on the cheap side when it comes to ultralight fishing. I've had my Mitchell 310 reel for almost 3 years now, and it hasn't given me any problems whatsoever. It was on sale at Cabela's when I got it for $50 back in June 2021. 7+1 bearings. 5.2:1 ratio. I have it attached to the trusty ol' Ugly Stik GX2 light spinning rod, 6 ft length. Worry free ultralight fishing that doesn't break the bank.
I don’t think a 500 size is great for anything. Very slow retrieve, and the spool diameter is too small. You don’t want your line coiled up that small.
TEMU is brilliant place to buy fishing gear. Both reels I got seem good or better then this1. DK Haut ton Billings 800 $8.47 Black&green And DC 1,000 13bb $8.09 Silver/gold with wood handle. Scubachris from Hawai does lots reviews on DC reels.
Nice review on this reel! And you are 100% correct about braid! ✌️
There are some die hards who don't believe me. But they will eventually find out. Thanks for dropping by.

Morning, i just ordered the new 7 foot rod from ACC, do you think the 1000 or the 2000 series would be a better match?
Hi there, it would depend on the rod weight. If it's a Med-light, I would go with the 2000 series.
Thx, and yes its rated medium-light, 200 series it is!@fishingtalesandotherlies
Good advice about the braided line.
Glad it was helpful!
@@fishingtalesandotherliescan you elaborate on the braid issue? Why and how does braid cause your reel to break?
If you want ultra light why didn't you get the viper x 500?
Because I wanted the 1000.
