Then review it to see what changes you can make to lessen the calorie intake. The key is sustainable lifestyle changes; otherwise, you will just binge on junk food once the diet is over. Weight maintanence, I would say is 80% what you eat and 20% exercise. I agree with you about having some amount of healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, avocado) with meals. Fat is needed to help the body absorb nutrients. An example of a lifestyle change would be coffee. I used to drink coffee with half and half and 2-3 packs of sugar. Then I drank coffee with full fat milk, no sugar. Then I drank coffee with 2% milk, no sugar. Then it was 0% fat milk, no sugar. Now I drink plain coffee with no sugar added almond or oatmilk. I eliminated juices or sodas from my diet. That is a ton of useless calories right there. I drink a lot of sparkling mineral water. 30 minutes of exercise everyday, including 2-3 sessions of strength training is optimal. You can eat once a week whatever you want. But mainly don't eat processed foods and don't eat rice or noodles every day. Also no cocktails, very sugary. Better to opt for a glass of wine or sparkling wine.
@@Lucky33x88 20lbs over 18 months but I also trained with a personal trainer and exercised daily. It was easy to lose the first 12-15lbs and the last 5 wouldn't budge. Losing weight too fast is not good, no more than 2-3 lbs a week. You dont want to lose muscle so best to strength train.
