Meme aside, imagine the lore implications of this. I'd like to think this is how the urban warfare began in City 17, one still standing patriot, who saved his Kentucky Rifle, Pistol, Coat, and Powdered Wig through the 7 hour war and the years after; brought out his heirlooms once more to fight back against these tyrannical, inhuman invaders for one last time. Just as the Founding Father's intended.

I own a musket to defend the citizens from the combine. I turn around the corner and see one combine beating a defenseless citizen. "What the devil" I rush to grab my hev suit and my musket shoot at the first combine that rushes at me with a stunstick putting a golf ball size hole in his head he's dead on the spot. I reach for my smg to kill the last combine misses entirely since it's the smg and nails one of the citizens. One of the combines on the stairs comes down to help his friend I revert to the secondary fire for the smg. "Tally ho lads!". Kills the two, and the last one comes down the stairs in shock at the sight of his dead comrades. I charge at him with the bayonet, and he bleeds out since triangular wounds are impossible to stich. "Just as the founding father intended".

Should've had a cannon at the top of the stairs when the cops were coming up the stairs during the flare scene that happens later in the level

Yup, I want to see a Half-Life 2 mod where it just replaces all of the weapons with shitty black-powder weapons. A cutlass, a flintlock, a rifle with a bayonet, a blunderbuss. The rocket launcher would just be a goofy ass cannon you'd hold on your shoulder; it would have fucking stupid recoil, have no homing function, and the cannon ball would have a drop. The cannon balls no longer explode but instead plow through enemies, crashing and creating a giant cloud of dust when they collide with geometry. The cannon would push you backwards from the force of firing it; the knockback would be multiplied if the player is midair, allowing for cannon-jumps.
Gotta love the little difference between the first and second rifle, explains why you could shoot the second one without having to reload because it wasn't the same rifle
True American carries atleast 6 Brown Bess muskets, 3 Kentucky rifles and 2 Withword rifles at all times.
