Known this for ages! Nock gun is a portable Grapeshot cannon. I replied to No Nock November videos and comments telling them that it's not bad. Especially paired with bombers it's a friggin destroyer of linear hordes (endless and some objective maps)!
This reminds me of a Tf2 weapon analysis also I love this video great music great editing and great points, I love destroying zappers with this. You've earned yourself a sub :D
You can also press R to start the reload again from the current bullet count if you find down time to reload (Same thing with DB pistol in private servers and probably on release as well)
Few tips for nock gun users: Use the nock jump technique when carrying stuff in Kaub. Reloading one pellet will take you somewhere 9 seconds, shorter then musket btw! It's mostly recommended to use 2 pellets as sometimes Zappers can withstand one pellet. Nock gun can be used as a sniping rifle if you put 2-3 pellets, without having a chance of missing. Nock gun has reloading checkpoint after you load gunpowder in every hole There's also reloading checkpoint on each pellet, so don't worry for reloading 2 pellets, hitting a close runner and then reload a bit more Nock gun > blunderbuss As you understand, it's best to use Nock gun for defending builds and teammates, don't rush into the horde. It's very recommended to protect the first checkpoint with nock gun, as you can destroy a horde and then quickly reload a pellet or two. Nock gun works really well on Leipzig at defending a graveyard, if there's too much zombies, use it anf reload 2 pellets

I’ve always been a big fan of the nock gun and I’ve always been so confused when people say it takes too long to reload even though you can cancel it I think people just like to complain And I also love the la haye sainte camping spot it’s great
I use nock gun as kind of musket that can deliver heavy shot if needed. I usually run around with my boarding axe and when I feel unsafe or the other way, safe enough I take out my nock gun, most of the time just loading 2 pellets and shooting and repeating, when there are no zombies attacking I load it fully. When I feel safe enough I often just load it fully (exmaple would be Paris at the defence part where I feel safe enought to just stand at the back and deliver heavy punch). I focus on larger groups, barrels and zappers, I especially focus on large groups when I load all 5 pellets
I have like an idea for like a sub-class for the sea man, Nockers which is obvious as it has the nock in it. Since the nock gun is like a napoleon hand cannon it can be great at hardcore

I was actually one of the people you showed who regarded the Nock Gun as bad, but I recently tried it and I think I’ve turned around on it! I probably wouldn’t use it too frequently (as I don’t even really play Seaman all that often in the first place), but I will confess that I hadn’t given it a fair shot. Personally, I think the Nock Gun is this really weird but kind of cool in between of the Musket/Carbine and Blunderbuss. It’s capable of being roughly as effective as a sniping tool compared to its contemporaries, just lacking the Bayonet of the Musket or fast reload speed of the Carbine, and a crowd control tool if you reload enough shots (typically 3 or 4+ usually does it for me), and said crowd control is somewhat reliant on zombies happening to be in a straight line. Unfortunately, I can’t imagine seeing myself using it outside of Endless, since the health of zombies can skyrocket in the later waves, and this is where I see the Nock Gun as most effective. In Objective, if I want crowd control I’ll use the Blunderbuss, since zombies are not only much less numerous in Objective, but also have lower health, and the extreme damage of the Nock Gun just really isn’t needed there, and it’s tighter spread can actually be a downside. If I want precision, I’ll go with the Musket or Carbine, as both hold significant upsides against the Nock Gun in sniping. Obviously these are just my opinions, and they’re probably certain to change as I use the Nock Gun more. But overall, I think I can say that my opinion on the Nock Gun has changed for the better.

Honestly for me I want to eventually purchase the Nock Gun for gameplay variety I play alot of Seaman in endless (more Officer but still) so having an alternative to the Blunderbuss is a nice change of pace
The nock gun can also be a massive help at the chokepoint at the back of the tyrolean map since during the later waves hordes of zombies will pour through the streets of tyrol bunching up. This is where the nock can have its full potential
for me nock gun is perfect for its job, clearing hordes without risking yourself by adding extra range unlike the blunderbuss. the 7 round long reload is definitely unnecessary except you really want something eviscerated from the surface of the earth pronto, as with 2 or 3 rounds it works just as fine. besides either way you're going to end up using your sabers most of the time fighting individual zombies. and besides, fifer exist y'know
you don't have to press the left mouse button to stop reloading, but put it away and get it out again, so you can shoot a little earlier. In addition, the recoil of the nock gun can in some situations help you, for example, get away from a wave of zombies to a safe distance or make a dash forward.
I load 3 bullets instead if 2 or 1 like you said because it could kill alot of zombies in early stages, but also because it kills mostly 25 zombies in one shot. But hey, you do yo
Nock gun was especially good for killing the headless horseman when the hallows eve update came out. It could shred him very very fast if you had enough people using it.
I honestly really like the nock gun. People hate it for its long reload, but I see that as a good thing. Every weapon has a downside so that it’s balanced and plus, you can just choose how much bullets you want in the nock gun. So, with how much damage the nock gun does, I think it’s a good thing that the reload time is so long. It doesn’t bother me.
The nockgun was the reason i created the made up regiment called "nockguard" and to unlock the nockguard, you must unlock the rifle and go to bubbles and equip 7 barrel to the rifle then trade the 7 barrel rifle for the nockgun and try finding a secret shako in san Sebastian that shako was a american shako btw and the last one is you need to buy the heavy sabre and unlock the blunder cuirassier regiment and now you got the nockguard
