You never truly realize the value of having someone in your family until you loose them. And Ryan brought the Cohens together and realizing that, Kirsten broke realizing that by loosing one, she lost the whole family.
@@detectivehawk4976I’m rewatching the whole series on HBO max. She’s crying because of Ryan not Seth. Seth leaves a note out to his parents after this scene.
this scene is so sad. I cry everytime Kirsten starts crying! its great because she was so apprehensive to have Ryan live with them in the beginning and then he became as much her son as Seth was! its so heartbreaking :(
Ugh I hated Teresa. Before she acts like she can take care of herself then she gets knocked up and suddenly needs Ryan. When I re-watch the series I always feel she planned the pregnancy to get Ryan back.
But oddly enough it was (characterization-wise) the best decision the show ever made. Example: Julie cleaned up her attitude and personality and Ryan never got in trouble with the law again.
@luke collett Your talking overall S4. I was referencing the difference between the characters actions and personalities before Marissa's death vs after her death. Your referencing a doylist perspective (real world perspective), whereas I was making a Watsonian perspective (in-universe perspective) on the characters actions in correlation to Marissa's death. You can hate S4 all you want, for that reason if you wish, but doylist views don't affect Watsonian views or vice versa.
Man Marissa must really love that driveway lol. This is like at least the 10th time throughout this show that she is caught standing there. She might as well pitch herself a tent and just camp out down there lol.
The song in this scene is from Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah In the scene when marissa dies sings Imogen Heap this song. I like this version more. And I love The OC!
so Leonard cohen wrote hallelujah and Jeff Buckley made it good ( its his version here) But who did the version in the scene with marissas death? Please i need to know...
@@gigibadawy5097 it's a bit over the top though, he left for months and was still upset after all that. He didn't even want to see the girl he had been infatuated with for years.
2 years late I know, but many people say Seth is selfish spoiled etc. Yes at times he is but in this scene he is just heartbroken and can't show it his only friend is leaving forever he thinks
I’m a Seth fan til the end (just like most OC fans) but in this episode more than most he acts like such a child. He is a flawed character but incredibly funny and relatable nonetheless. I mean the way he tries to act in the full scene like he doesn’t care that Ryan is leaving still makes me laugh, even though I know it’s supposed to be sad.
Kristen crying was by far the most heart breaking part of this considering she was very against Ryan living with them at the beginning of the series.

Seeing Kirstin sobbing cos Ryan leaves has to be one of the most heartbreaking moments of tv ever. Brilliant acting from Kelly rowan
She’s not crying because Ryan left, she’s crying because Seth left. But I agree. Amazing acting

She's crying for both, Einsteins
I always thought it was because Seth left 🤦♂️. Now it seems obvious
@@phil8516 I think they didn't know at this stage Seth was actually gone. I think it was more Ryan leaving cos she was cleaning up the beach house :(

the OC was class and cant believe it lost viewings and only had 4 seasons it was a brilliant programme and should never have lost viewings
+Grant Mcroberts it was because they killed off marissa :V

OC California is my favorite Show and will always be 🤞🏼😎💖
When Kirsten breaks down 😭😭 Kelly can definitely act
the best scene in the OC, ever.
Always loved the OC as a teenager. Love it till now in my 30s
The oc season one was pure brilliance.

Every time I see this whole scene, I start to sob especially when Kristen starts sobbing.
Ican only say, "OC is the Best... It can make U smile, laugh, and cry... and can make you do the HALELLUJAH!"
The song in this scene is from Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah

season 1 - 3 - so amazing.
the best ending ever
I need to watch season 1again
It is so funny what happens with Seth's boat
imogen heap- hallelujah
Seth left summer he should have not cry 😢

Imogen Heap
A 16 anos, um dia a casa da família Cohen sera minha!
No, the original is from Leonard Cohen.
I almost cry every time when I see this part to.
The acting is incredable good. I love it !
I can’t watch this episode ;(
Seth was a total brat here.
He was upset that his brother and bestfriend was leaving.

If you think this is dramatic, you should move to ISIS controlled territory, you'll love it there, probably your kind too.
