Hey guys. So I've done it again. I won't be able to make anymore videos for a while, but I had been wanting to do a really touching Ryan and Sandy video for a while now. After all, they are my two favorite OC characters for a reason! They gave the show depth, and their relationship is so underrated and touching!
So this video covers their entire relationship in S1! I wasn't sure what to call it so I called it, "Fathers and Sons" after a Ryan/Sandy fanfic that I read a while ago and fell in love with.
Ben McKenzie and Peter Gallagher are such great actors, and they were able to show so many emotions in their scenes together, which I really adored.
Enjoy the video! The song is from the soundtrack of "Pursuit of Happyness."

I'm back all these years later. This video was so beautiful and true example of Sandy being the father Ryan needed and deserved.
This was such a heartwarming tribute.

I totally agree with you. Sandy has been Ryan's role model right from the start. IMO Ryan's been the most developping character on the show, except maybe Summer. And he's grown to the kind of man, Sandy has always thought he would be.
hey this is very touching!! this is more than fathers sons thing.sandy has been by ryan's side until the end,the fact that he's never give up on ryan,its really touched my heart.sandy has truly bring up ryan,becoming a noble guy like him.
I love the fact that this is like a movie trailer. The music is good, you've got all awesome Ryan and Sandy scenes from S1, and you can really tell how good of an actor Ben is when you watch the first scene! :)

There is a difference between a "Father" and a "dad". A father is a male who contributed to your making. A dad is someone who stands by you, and supports you. Any male can be a father; it takes a MAN to be a dad.
That s why I loved the show
You really captured the feel of that relationship! Even if a person never saw the series before, they would probably know the characters just by watching your video! You have the right touch! Keep it up! They keep getting better!

@silviamckenzie Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment on my editing here. Yeah, I feel that a simpler editing style maximizes the emotions conveyed by the actors, and Ben and Peter are certainly great actors. I completely agree with you. The Ryan/Sandy bond was certainly central to the show (and also my favorite part of the show), but unfortunately the show's writing often undermined it (in later seasons) and few videos are made about it. Thanks again for the awesome compliment!
Aw, I love this so much!!! I enjoyed very much your simple, yet meaningful and intense editing - I'm a huge fan of the Ryan/Sandy bond, it's central for the show but I think (unfortunately) that it's not acknowledged much.
Plus Ryan just is there and so keen at resolving iasues, hidden OR overt

My father left (he still alive) our family when i was 15...im 35 now....when i watch the show this conection catchs on my vein.....wish i could listen one time my fatherr say ::: hey i got you back!

@Schakalaka1234 Aw, thanks so much for watching and commenting! I love them both so much too, and I feel S1 is really where the most bonding took place. Ryan was the lost, troubled boy, and it was really Sandy who saved him. Their scenes were always so meaningful and special to me, and I hope I was able to show that in this video. They gave the show depth. By season 4, when Ryan called him his dad, I was the happiest fan in the world.
