Well nope im not quitting. Scored 4 more items from goodwill. Lunch then list those with a few more from my death pile. I keep telling myself no more buys... but as it goes addicting. Lol. My sales are over up. And focusing on higher bills per sale. Sitting around 30 per item and last year was around 15 per sale. Keep up the great work.
7 days a week is so true. Been doing this 7 years. My 4th child is 3 weeks old and I was answering Ebay questions hours after birthing him 😂 no 6 weeks maternity leave over here. Thank God my husband and I both do this so he can do a majority of the tasks.

Hey tech, working on Ebay when this popped up. I say a lot of the same things. Born in 83 and can relate to a lot of what you speak of. Ebay is not easy at all. Yes, at the end of the day Ebay is a job that has to pay you to work there. I would still rather work on Ebay then be an employee for Walmart or McDonald's. Ebay is definitely like a job some days I can't stand Ebay and want to quit. While other days especially during the fourth quarter im loving it. I always have to remind IT IS WORK.
You may have been the number one male clothing seller on eBay, but I’d beg to differ you found your true calling, sharing, teaching, motivating and being a mentor to all us newbies and even for ANYONE wanting to succeed and be their best. More challenging to do it single handedly. Going solo takes sacrifice and aggressive action. Having team players changes the whole dynamics. I salute those who do it Alone!
Got emosh at the end there. I feel the same. Struggles and doing stuff alone without help builds character. It's made me want to give back too in later life because I know my path would have been easier had I known then what I know now ❤❤ passing down knowledge is a lost art.
Success isn't easy. It takes a lot of work. You have to have an excellent work ethic to build up a business of anything you do. It's hard work! All these young people doing reselling were misguided. They were raised for lack of a better term, "spoiled". So many dreamers are out there looking for that extra dollar to be handed to them. It's not that easy. It takes work......Hard work and be passionate and enthusiastic about what you expect out of your passion. No work, no pay. Get up every morning and treat it like a work day. Life ain't easy. Young people or old people aside, It takes work. Plenty of young folks getting it in every day, plenty of old folks that aren't. But at the end of the day, success does take work.

Side Hustle for me , but it lets me visit my parents in New Zealand twice a year as they are quite elderly , and just this week eBay paid for me to go to my daughter's wedding . Third year now doing it and it might be hard work but the rewards are there . Thanks for getting me through all those lonely nights . I am so happy you said it-- Reselling is HARD HARD HARD!!! I have two University Degrees and I am a Registered Nurse, but nothing has tried me more than Reselling, nothing! It is not easy to remain optimistic and disciplined when there is litttle, and sometimes, no reward in the growth period. Thanks to your content, I imagine a world where, even during economic hardship, reselling can hopefully out-compete fast fashion.. which means more of the pie for everyone involved and willing to put in the work!
In addition, reselling is so difficult because we have to wear all the hats inside of our businesses. Accounting, book keeping, accounts receivable, buying, billing, advertising, shipping, logistics, etc etc etc

It's hard due to all the hats we have to wear. Logistics, photography, buying, promotions, accounting, etc etc etc. & it never stops. 24 hours a day. But well worth it.
Finding success is hard and does not come overnight. I've been part-time on eBay since 1999 and it supplemented my income during college then into my career. During the pandemic I changed gears decided to make my full-time job part-time and turn eBay into a full-time income. A lot of local ebay resellers that just started have asked me how I make it look so easy. I tell them it's not that it's easy it's that I've built up 25 years of experience in this. I'm still learning and adapting to changes on the platform.

I know this has nothing to do with anything but I think it's so cool you have a lawn care business cause I have for 20 years and done well, but my real passion is to become a full time reseller. So I can relate to your journey in a different way but it's motivating to me. Intrigues me how you have passion for lawn care business and reselling. I think the most important lesson is your internal drive has to be relentless to make it. No one can stop "you" but you. If you get that concept I think anyone can succeed. Your living proof. The perfect answer tech. We can all make money. I was told at a garage sale once I was competition so the other guy wouldnt say if a video game was good or not when I asked him. This is after I let him dig through a box that I was already digging through.
My friend who is in a card scene always get a table at card shows. One thing he said that surprised me is he said the reason why he gets a spot at card shows is because he is not there to sell cards, he is there to buy cards. He brings minimal cards to sell to having a full table. That was genius.

Building community and collaborating can only be done at the top - which you stated. You were a lone wolf because you had to be. Someone in the group lives near me and I figured out his spots - it is taking everything in me not to destroy him. There are no friends in this game. You are only helping your competitors. I'm glad you're at the top and can give out info - it has changed my life for the better. I Just bought a house for my large family on ebay money alone - I have you to thank for that.
Hey Tech , I have been watching more of your vids and when you said “ some of the money, all the time is better than all of the money, some of the time” I had to write that down on my legal pad that i use for my newly listed items. I wrote it on the back of the pad to remind myself and that it’s better to go for the fast nickel than the slow dime. And it really makes sense. I think when I list my items I always tend to go with what the median is and in all reality, eBay buyers are looking for a deal.. I’m starting to be a little bit more smarter with promoted listings and really researching the item to really pinpoint what it might be worth than what I think it’s worth.. anyway, tarapeak helps a ton.. thanks man appreciate it , and I really enjoy watching the videos
Appreciate you checking out the videos. You can build a great business around any model. Fast nickel, slow dime, etc. Just different techniques for each. Technically speaking flipping your money as fast as possible will lead to the most money in the bank at the end of the day

Thanks tech. I did retail arbitrage of Crocs for the holiday with a Black Friday deal and coupon. I listed for much less than retail and didn’t sell much. Turns out Crocs is selling on eBay with free shipping! While their price was not as cheap as I bought for, it was a price I could not make profit on. 2020 - sold a lot of HBA from couponing for those not going into CVS and Walgreens. Now out of that segment
So funny, I was just sitting here thinking about the struggle … and this video popped up. Yes, you’re exactly right. My sales are so slow. I try so hard with all your advice and others I listen, but there is. HUGE Learning curve here. This consumes me. I use most of my free time trying to educate myself. I joined your group in November. Doing better than before that but rarely have a day that I sell more than a few items. Some days are tough. I have an enormous amount of respect for you and so many others in the group. Reselling is my second job but my goal is to make it my first.

Tech thought about getting back in the game. I give you 5 years. You can only go on so many vacations and see so many sights. You are the mamba of reselling. You need the challenge. You need the chaos and the frenetic pace. I bet your back in a few, to soar to even higher heights.
Tons of quality resellers in Houston, start networking. Haha, I don't think so, I've accomplished my mission. I'll always have an ebay store, I love ebay, it's part of my fabric now & keeps me grounded, but I accomplished everything I wanted to & needed to.

I am so happy you said it-- Reselling is HARD HARD HARD!!! I have two University Degrees and I am a Registered Nurse, but nothing has tried me more than Reselling, nothing! It is not easy to remain optimistic and disciplined when there is litttle, and sometimes, no reward in the growth period.
Thanks to your content, I imagine a world where, even during economic hardship, reselling can hopefully out-compete fast fashion.. which means more of the pie for everyone involved and willing to put in the work!
In addition, reselling is so difficult because we have to wear all the hats inside of our businesses. Accounting, book keeping, accounts receivable, buying, billing, advertising, shipping, logistics, etc etc etc

Thanks for saying it is hard. I think we don't give ourselves credit for how hard we work to make our business successful.
It's hard due to all the hats we have to wear. Logistics, photography, buying, promotions, accounting, etc etc etc. & it never stops. 24 hours a day.
But well worth it.
Finding success is hard and does not come overnight. I've been part-time on eBay since 1999 and it supplemented my income during college then into my career. During the pandemic I changed gears decided to make my full-time job part-time and turn eBay into a full-time income. A lot of local ebay resellers that just started have asked me how I make it look so easy. I tell them it's not that it's easy it's that I've built up 25 years of experience in this. I'm still learning and adapting to changes on the platform.

That is exactly our business model, we have a great relationship with one vendor , we spend at least 10K per month , so they know we are good and will take all, as long as we like the merchandise

I know this has nothing to do with anything but I think it's so cool you have a lawn care business cause I have for 20 years and done well, but my real passion is to become a full time reseller. So I can relate to your journey in a different way but it's motivating to me. Intrigues me how you have passion for lawn care business and reselling. I think the most important lesson is your internal drive has to be relentless to make it. No one can stop "you" but you. If you get that concept I think anyone can succeed. Your living proof. The perfect answer tech. We can all make money. I was told at a garage sale once I was competition so the other guy wouldnt say if a video game was good or not when I asked him. This is after I let him dig through a box that I was already digging through.

My friend who is in a card scene always get a table at card shows. One thing he said that surprised me is he said the reason why he gets a spot at card shows is because he is not there to sell cards, he is there to buy cards. He brings minimal cards to sell to having a full table. That was genius.

Building community and collaborating can only be done at the top - which you stated. You were a lone wolf because you had to be. Someone in the group lives near me and I figured out his spots - it is taking everything in me not to destroy him. There are no friends in this game. You are only helping your competitors. I'm glad you're at the top and can give out info - it has changed my life for the better. I Just bought a house for my large family on ebay money alone - I have you to thank for that.

Hey Tech , I have been watching more of your vids and when you said “ some of the money, all the time is better than all of the money, some of the time” I had to write that down on my legal pad that i use for my newly listed items. I wrote it on the back of the pad to remind myself and that it’s better to go for the fast nickel than the slow dime. And it really makes sense. I think when I list my items I always tend to go with what the median is and in all reality, eBay buyers are looking for a deal.. I’m starting to be a little bit more smarter with promoted listings and really researching the item to really pinpoint what it might be worth than what I think it’s worth.. anyway, tarapeak helps a ton.. thanks man appreciate it , and I really enjoy watching the videos

Thanks tech. I did retail arbitrage of Crocs for the holiday with a Black Friday deal and coupon. I listed for much less than retail and didn’t sell much. Turns out Crocs is selling on eBay with free shipping! While their price was not as cheap as I bought for, it was a price I could not make profit on. 2020 - sold a lot of HBA from couponing for those not going into CVS and Walgreens. Now out of that segment
Yes a lot of really big brands have ebay stores. Best Buy, Adidas, Reebok have all had ebay stores
So funny, I was just sitting here thinking about the struggle … and this video popped up. Yes, you’re exactly right. My sales are so slow. I try so hard with all your advice and others I listen, but there is. HUGE Learning curve here. This consumes me. I use most of my free time trying to educate myself. I joined your group in November. Doing better than before that but rarely have a day that I sell more than a few items. Some days are tough. I have an enormous amount of respect for you and so many others in the group. Reselling is my second job but my goal is to make it my first.
