You may not believe me but when I first started selling I bought 80 Harley shirts for 2.00 each $160 total. 1 of the shirts I sold was for 950.00 bucks. It was a rare 3d emblem. I still have a hand full left most sold for about 10-20 bucks each. A hand full sold for 50.00 each. I still have one that is worth about 200.00 But I did the same thing you did. I just pulled out cash and bought them all. Also my wife bought a Bell trading post sterling thunderbird ring for 15 and sold it for 350. It was all at a private estate sale. Oh the good ole days ! Hard to come by those types of deals.
I believe you sold one for $950. No doubt in my mind. I've sold some before for big money. Nice finds!

Sure I could have negotiated, but I don't negotiate. A couple dollars wasn't going to break the deal for me. Most have already sold on my stores black Friday Sale, so I'm happy, she's happy & she's already messaged me a bunch of times with more items to buy

I’m not much of a negotiator myself. I’m just starting out so I can’t buy things in bulk like that. However, many times at yard sales the seller went down in price and I never asked. Probably because I don’t rush to pay. I have to think about it, and they’re ready to get the stuff off of their hands.
I guess that’s how I ‘negotiate’. 😀
And I do go when they’re ready to close. It’s not that I mean to. It’s just the way my schedule is.

They actually do sell lol. I dropped the ball on that bolo, but I think there is some legalities to selling them, especially in Florida lol. Especially queen conchs

I am re-watching this and you mentioned a challenge. I am curious to see you tackle the womens section as well. I am wrapping up the end of my 1st year ebay selling. It still takes me at least 2 hrs to get through a relatively large store searching the mens and womens section. I'd like to see how long it takes you with that added in. You are awesome.

Just did an 850mi drive to do a cash/local pickup deal. Saved about a thousand dollars on just that buy. I'm familiar with a few great thrifts along the way and picked up all the items in my niche that fit in my business model. I'll make another thousand or so on those items. I've been following advice from you for years and at times I would think "what would Tech do?" and that would help me pick up or leave items I was on the fence about. : )

I did something similar to this on Black Friday, I went to a video game store quickly started picking up and creating several stacks to the point that I took about a quarter of their display. Every time someone came in later asking about the games in the stack and the owner told them they were already spoken for I just had a little grin on my face. If I would have arrived later I know I wouldn't have been able to get as many items as I walked out with. Your example has paid dividends, and you show it time after time why it pays to be the early bird.

Been hitting stores 7 days a week. The podcast episode with Henley (i apologize if thats incorrect) opened up my eyes "You'll take every offer if you're good at sourcing." I've never found so much good stuff even though there are resellers in every thrift I walk into.

Yeah easily. Probably more. I had 53,000 items on ebay. I had a few thousand extra on hand, I have over 10,000 items in my brick and mortar store, my wife has a rack system of a few thousand items for her ebay store
Somebody threw a 3D emblem back today in my neck of the woods. Its a rag but i think ill still get around $150 for it. Unfortunately not a HD one but im not gonna leave THAT behind in any condition

Never seen so many sand dollars! No 3D Emblems but a few nice vintage ones I sold in my store for $50+. Almost all of them are already gone after black friday sale

Omg, I want to start Ebay. I currently sell on Poshmark. But that platform is not appropriate for many items. Kind'a scared to start. I think I watched too many videos of all the negative ebay issues.

Im curious about your thrifting route you talk about or maybe you did more precise in the past. Do you suggest hitting the same location at the same times week after week? vs same stores on the route but random times?

Thats interesting. I watched all your videos so far and I went to GW and looked at mens clothes. In the back of my head thinking about what you said on brands. I bought about 15 shirts so Im curious to see how I convert. I also came across a Garbage Pail kid Atom Bomb sticker card I sent in for authenticity based on you talking about them in a bolo video. I also joined your group yesterday excited about that. I love landscaping and have been in the game for 20 years but my dream is to be a self sufficient reseller. I love every aspect about it and I do the same thing you do. I just cut to the chase and say how much for all of it. Saves time and thats when you get the best deal. I bought an entire storage locker full of vintage clothing. Guy had an ad up saying people could come look so I just said what if I want it all. Crazy at first but he said $900 for everything in the locker including custom racks he made for the clothes. So I took it all. Literally couple thousand pieces. I have yet to list it but thats my winter plan. Your channel motivates me to finally make the push to making that dream more a reality. Great info you share invaluable. Thanks @@technsports

Tech, did the tags all say Harley? Or were they printed on all different brands like .hanes, gildan, etc? Does it even matter as long as theres a harley davidson printed on front or back? TIA
The really expensive ones are not printed on Harley tags, they are printed on 3D Emblem Hanes, etc.

I have, but I don't actively look to do so. Most peoples inventories they can't sell themselves because it's not good quality and that's not my business model.

They all source just like we do, but their platform is local flea market, not online like us
