I found this quote from Elder Holland's April talk interesting : '..we really can ascend to “Mount Zion, … the city of the living God, the heavenly place, the holiest of all.” To me that sounds very similar to being caught up.
There are a lot of church members who aren't living up the privilege of knowing because of their conduct that they will be worthy to live with God and it sometimes lead them to say that it's just not a literal thing at all, and there are others who just generally think spiritual and scriptural things are figurative and thus it helps lead to them acting in ways (and not acting) they surely wouldn't act or forego acting if they really believed that literally they could become worthy and be present with the Lord, so Elder Holland was reminding us that we should pray for help to believe that we really can do this; and as the scriptures say, it is specifically a feature of the character of a Saint that those who truly believe they can and will be like Christ are those who actually do take action to become that, or to put it into doctrine of Christ language as the scriptures put it, faith leads to repentance, and those who really have faith will turn to Christ/repent.
My son’s PB says he will be caught up to meet the savior in the sky and escort him in for the second coming. Because of this wording the 2 of us read every scripture where the words caught up were used. I’m excited to add your additional information on these words. Thank you so much for doing this video!!!!
My son is 21 years old. I have only shared the exact wording of his PB with my sister and my mother. And obviously won’t share for sacred reasons the exact wording here, but I’m often wondered if that meant that he could do this not being alive. Obviously one of the Scriptures talks about people being taken up from the grave in reference to the second coming. Though I believe my son will be alive to see the savior come and be lifted up to be at his side to escort him in the second coming. I just didn’t know if that would be at a physical state or translated state.

Yes I believe this. People think everything will be burn but I don’t think so, how about all temples and all the books that we need for genealogy work…. I think just the telestial people will go “Skadoosh” somehow
Jared I often think about how the thousands of people that weren’t caught up is going to feel when thousands of others disappear overnight. Especially if they have a knowledge of this prophecy. What a sick feeling they would have.
I have two adult children that have stepped away from church, but still live at home. They freak out whenever my wife and I go somewhere unannounced. I think on a subconscious level they fear this is what happened.
I think you could add The Savior, John the Baptist, Peter, James, and Moroni to the resurrected beings list. Also the little unnamed Nephite girl who resurrection was witnessed.

So... If people living during the Millennium are changed in the twinkling of an eye.... What "grade" of body do they get, since the final judgment has not yet occurred

Transfiguration: Quickened before death. Transfigured human beings still have blood. One can be mortal, but seem very immortal. Translation: Quickened after death. Light of Christ has replaced blood. Resurrection: Quickened after death, or burial. 100 year lifetime before translation may not absolute, but that verse could mean 'for example of choice". If those in the Millennium will only live 100 yrs, then what happened in the old testament with people who lived hundreds of years ?!
Hey Jared, 3:52 maybe you could divide the pre-millenial section into 2 sections...one for before the Resurrection of Christ and one for after. It might help people to recognize or visualize that nobody could be resurrected until Christ had overcome death.
I'm a little confused about why "the age of a tree" is considered to mean 100 years? Trees frequently live to be several hundred years old. Couldn't "the age of a tree" mean a person could live to be 300 or 400 years old? Asking for a friend lol.
23:05 the age of a man is 72 (at least it was then) and the age of a tree is 100. I think they wouldn't have been very useful from 73 to 100 in those days.

Don't forget to add the phrase "Raised up at the last day" - lots of those too in the scriptures!! They refer to the same event.

the word Rapture means CAUGHT UP. it's just that we LDS don't like to use the same vernacular as the heathens that call themselves Christians.
