    If you still say AMD drivers are horrible in 2024, you either have not recently used a AMD GPU, or you work for nvidia for free. I have an xtx, 7900 gre, while my wife has a 3070. We deal with nvidia drivers issues more (though not many) then the AMD drivers. With that being said, both drivers work great.

    AMD is great, if you think that AMD is bad you are 100% paid by Nvidia. It's well known that there are no bad GPUs. Only badly priced GPUs. And Nvidia has plenty of those. Example, an RX 7600 is faster than a 4060, for $30 less.

  • @CaptMorpheusZ
    @CaptMorpheusZ Месяц назад +4

    I definetely had a better experience with Nvidia than AMD.
    I had a 970, then a 1080, eventually a 3050 and upgraded to 6900xt with a good deal and emediatly got into some driver mess that AMD was struggling to fix (couldn't open adrenalin app)
    Eventually people mentioned it was fixed after reinstalling windows, so I did and it did work...but that is just an awfull experience.
    Then I had the issue that randomy after reboots my settings would reset from adrenalin, so I had to check adrenalin after every reboot if my settings was still as I wanted it.
    Since I never had ANY issues with Nvidia, even though its more than I wanna spend, it's worth the better experience.

    great video, thx. been using Radeons since the HD4200 days (currently on a 6700XT and 5700XT), and honestly I don't understand the hoohaa about drivers. never had major issues with them, ever. AMD needs to reduce the pricing at their launches, as Nvidia had them cornered with features. I don't care at all about ray tracing, but i do envy Nvidia's DLSS tech. But overall, am very happy with Radeons and would stick with them through thick and thin. By the way, in this day and age a lot of people would misconstrued your video title. just a minor feedback. keep up the good work.

      AFMF is still the better frame generation solution, mainly because AFMF being driver based means it runs closer to the metal than Lossless Scaling can, which results in AFMF having noticeably less input latency than Lossless Scaling.

  • @diamlierx

    Radeon gpu's are priced the exact same as nvidia gpu's but with a smaller feature set ,far less Shading Units, a higher power draw and less use cases compared to nvidia. For those of you in the comments saying nvidia is required for AI you obviously have some sort of information processing problem. BTW no one is stopping amd radeon from competing with nvidia but amd radeon there is a long list of reasons they only have a tiny percentage of the gpu market with the biggest reason being AMD itself.

  • @hellguardian11

    The rtx 4060 is better than the rx 7600 for just 30usd more. After that Amd beats Nvidia at all price points for value and raster performance. The 4060ti 8gb is the worst card of this generation just like how rtx 3050 8gb was for last gen.
    Ngreedia needs to start giving more vram (less vram = planned obsolescence) and Amdolts need to price a bit more aggressively.

  • @KB24DW8

    Thing is. I tried 6800 just last week and man it was good with a lot of games but…what really made me go back to nvidia was amds shitty dx11 shader compilation. Games like valorant is a stutter mess on amd. For some reason amd driver down clocks in valorant as it’s cpu intensive game. Also I play siege and prefer dx11 ver over Vulcan as it looks better and it stutters in that too

    NVidia is required by all the good 3D editing software and video editing software (and gaming developers). So developers are forced to use Nvidia. Gamers and crypto-guys can pick AMD or NVidia. AI and deep learning also requires NVidia. Its because NVidia has CUDA and its better for writing software and code for parallelization. AMD keeps lagging on creating good tooling and AMD also keeps creating those heat issue. Our last hope was when AMD told us they were going to make better cards in 2020, and they lied. They just don't have the good engineers and probably the circuit printer to manufacturer the cards. NVidia is deep with the USA gov't and Taiwan -- they specifically have special optical circuit printers for NVidia.

    I have a 3090 in my pc and a 6600m in my laptop. The 6600m is a beast. It runs everything at 1080p probably slightly better than the 3090 does that 4K and AMD adrenaline is definitely better than Nvidia control panel

      @Ciffer-1998 4 месяца назад

      hold on are you saying that 6600m runs better on 1080p then rtx 3090 does at 4k, or you want to say that 6600m runs better at 4k then 3090, if later then there is something really wrong going on

    • @ClappOnUpp
      @ClappOnUpp 4 месяца назад

      @@Ciffer-1998 yeah using voice to text on my phone so might be a spelling mistake/wrong word or two somewhere, but I think that's what I said; at native, without upscaling or ray tracing, 6600m runs 1080p slightly better than the 3090 runs 4k.
      The 3090 rig runs max settings, AAA games at 4k, no upscaling or Ray tracing at around 60-80 fps. The 6600m will run the same settings at 1080p and get 75-100 (probably averages 85 in most demanding titles).
      Though, when it's available, I tend to use Ray tracing on my 3090 at 2k.
      An interesting comparison happened last month when my 3090 was on RMA (to Asus 😐). I got ghost of tsushima and my laptop was my only PC available. Hooked it up to my 2k monitor. I think it was doing around 60 max settings without frame generation (just to check as I was mainly using frame gen). With frame generation it was averaging probably 100 at 1440p. I got my 3090 back, and with AMD's frame generation, it was averaging about 140/150 fps at 2k for Tsushima. Without frame gen, the 3090 was doing 100. So on Ghost Of Tsushima, the 6600m was doing roughly the same fps WITH frame generation that the 3090 was doing without it, no upscaling, 1440p. Although the PS5 is AMD so the games might favor their cards.
      (I think it had some minor Ray tracing features available. If it is did then I used it on my 6600m as well because it was crushing that game)
      Here's the specs for comparison.
      Desktop- Strix G35 pre-built, Strix 3090, 11900kf, 32gb ddr4.
      Laptop- Lenovo Legion 5 (2021 model), 6600m, 5800h, 16gb ddr4.
      Both using nvme storage, PCIe 4 boards, dual channel memory.

      @@Ciffer-1998 I'd be more surprised if someone considered the 6600m, the lowest 6000 series mobile variant offered to be midrange. I probably say mid-range for rdna2 would be the six or seven cards from the 6600xt to 6800 non-xt.
      But originally you seemed to think I was stating my 6600m was beating the 3090 in 4k.
      You couldn't bottleneck it enough to do that without making an completely unstable system.
      (Yes, technically you could.. but it would be harder than making a good system)
