As a Vikings fan, this was one of the toughest playoff losses of all time. We outplayed them and still couldn't get the job done. Unlike most, I'll congratulate the Seahawks for winning this game. We'll be back next year. Hopefully better than ever.

All of you guys are hating on the Seahawks saying they're lucky and not good at all, but a win is a win no matter what, and Seattle's defense played a phenomenal game. Seattle's offense got off to a slow start mainly because they were playing in nearly -20 degree weather (wind chill), and the Hawks aren't accustomed to playing in weather that cold. Plus, the Hawks played at Minnesota for the game. Minnesota had a HUGE advantage playing at home in this kind of weather, but Seattle managed to overcome that advantage and win the game. Seattle was just the better team.

Internet Savage Like your team is any better. The Seahawks are the best or second best team in NFC, and I can see them winning the NFC again this season. The Panthers aren't going to beat them again, they've already raped the Cardinals, and the Redskins/Packers aren't making it past the Cardinals. The NFC Championship will be the Cardinals vs the Seahawks or Panthers, and Seattle definitely has the skill and players to beat the Panthers. Sure, the Panthers BARELY scathed by and beat them early on in the season, but the Seahawks are a VASTLY improved team now than they were back then.

This game alone should have been a reason to build an outdoor stadium, its such an advantage for the Vikings to play in weather and this day proved it. Im actually a Steeler fan, but how awesome was it seeing the Vikings outdoors again.

Seattle could barely stop the pass game, yet they are the legion of the so called "Boom", they couldn't intercept a single pass. Couldn't even stop them on the final drive, just an unfortunate turn of events for the guy who carried the Vikings through the game. He showed more heart and guts than the entire Seattle team. Had it not been for some miscommunication by the Seahawks at the end of the game then the result might've been different. However, there's no use in playing the, "What if" game. What's done is done. The point is that when you really narrow things down, both the Panthers and Seahawks match up evenly. It should be a good match no matter the outcome.

It had to have been a combo of pressure from Sherman (who was a fingertip away from blocking the last punt), pressure for winning score, the cold, and the laces.
My theory was he tried to kick it a bit more left than usual to give Sherman a harder time of tipping the ball, but when he did this he hit the laces at an odd angle, making the ball go A-wall and much farther left than he anticipated... About 10 feet too far to the left even
