Can you use Nebulizer for treatment of COPD exacerbations? I currently use Azithromycin and Prednisone for emergency exacerbations which I will continue as prescribed by my doctor?

I am an Expat in the Philippines. Manila is very far away. Where I stay at the moment the doc are not specialized in asthma. I got 160 Symbicort and Salbutamol Ventolin. I get on monthly basis bad flare ups/chest infection. It means I almost cant breath.i am sick for 2 weeks. Can't eat, do nothing. The Doc give me 10 days always Azithromycin and Prednisone. Nebulizer don't work. What can I do to get less flare ups. Do I need additional medicine on daily basis? My chest x-ray is good. Lungs are clear, no enlarged heart.

Don’t eat sugar, sugary foods and processed foods. You hear this a lot but it really matters now. Try going on a low histamine diet, take vitamins c, e, d, and b vitamins for your lungs.. Make a tea with a lot of raw garlic and ginger. Make sure to eat two cloves of raw garlic a day. Learn breathing exercises on RUclips and do them everyday, twice or three times a day. There is so much more but this is is a way you can start to help yourself.

@@jeanieellwood324 Thanks. I am good now. I stopped all medicine I got from the local doc here in the PH. Only use Seretide 250 what my German doc told me. Now I do sports again, jogging, Gym, swimming etc. I got my life back 🥳🎈

Try NAC. It’s been a game changer in my battle with asthma. I’ve used inhalers but since taking NAC, 3 capsules a day, my air is so much deeper that I don’t have to use the inhalers very much. Highly recommend!
