- Barely 15 seconds into a game did the collision break and I got stuck in the trap carpet. That ain't a netcode error, that's Nintendo barely testing this stale pile of playdoh that barely qualifies as a remaster, let alone a remake.

@Votterbin Yeah hahaha saw this in my recommended and was surprised! I saw the room with all of us in there on the thumbnail and instantly knew what it was!! What a crazy ass glitch 🤣.

@@NewyorkJKSK I couldn't tell you. I walked onto the carpet, the trap was supposed to activate, but the animations started looping and wasn't letting the other Luigis free me

This is one of the many oddities that can happen in Scarescraper for the original 3DS, it just seems like they didn’t patch any of them in the HD port. Though at least I haven’t experienced another impossible floor like one time in Scarescraper 3DS that generated a locked door in which the only room with a key in it was the one behind the locked door
That's very interesting! I came across a mess of a few glitches in the original game myself (such as Keys not generating anywhere even when the game says there is a Key in the room,) but I never thought I would see a glitch like this! I guess anything could happen during multiplayer ScareScraper sessions though, as I've had experience of those being a bit buggy (such as there being Rug Traps on Boss Floors that respawn bosses.)
Mess up? This is _exactly_ how Scarescraper is supposed to be experienced!
No key glitch was the only problem I remember on the 3DS
Exactly, on the map showed the room where the key was supposed to be in, but me and the others looked all over and interacted with EVERYTHING but still no key ever spawned, so we just accepted our fate and waited out the timer while spamming “Good job!” “Thank you very much!”😂

I remember pulling a carpit trap and the person still being stuck in the floor and then letting a ghost kill them. That unstuck them and they wern't spaming that sound. I used to play scarescrapper alot when I was beating story mode and then a lot after I did beat story mode. I haven't played in 6 years or more because my "B" button got jammed from running too much. I liked that you could get out of a vase trap with a suit of armor that would slash you with thier sword, if you had the 20 heath to spair. You can hit dead teammates with a heart(s) to revive them and yourself if you break a pumkin or mellon aganist a wall when a ghost is about to kill you. A ghost can also hit you with a heart and revive you. Because your dead body can slightly move in place when you're fainted, you could potentially revive yourself if a heart is close enough to your body. I have revived a few dead teammates with hearts because I didn't wanted to step in the puddle of goo ghost were they died or I was in a carpit trap.
One person showed me that you can shoot the green spiky ball out the window were a door could go. Another person showed me that if you use a fake door and get slamed into the wall in the 1by2 room with a dirt floor and coffin. If a player or the blue vase for the vase trap is at the wall. You will be shoved on top of the wall and you can fall off the side and get teleported back into the room or you can just fall through the ceiling.
You can still grab the red challenge coins after the 20 second is up. It can be blown to you by a carpit traped player. Shoved behind a teleporting wardrobe or the red coin can be grabed at the other end after the timer is up and the coin was placed there. I saw a few players blow a red coin in a corner and then work it up the wall to the ceiling. Then when the timer ran out, The coin would fall on them. Its a good way to ger an extra second or two.
I remember playing with a hacker they had "graphics" in their name. They made a scarescraper lsied with 0 floors. It was 5 floors and the floors were small and evey room had atleast one boss ghost in it, Usually about 2-3 depending on how big the normal room was. We were given all the upgrades at the beginning and we had a faster suction time. The hacker did have speed hacks becuase they ran very fast and had a near-instantly full suction bar. I think we were still given the 5 minutes, There wasn't any timepieces to extend the timer. I thought it was more fun than getting happy that I reached 99 floors in the normal endless ghost hunting mode or the other scarecraper mode with the polterpupy. Rush mode needed a really good team of experts and I wasn't good enuff to do it alone. I was good at rush mode
I remember a few times I got shoved into the floor of the roof or into furniture. I think the "one missing key glitch" is super common. The "double floor glitch" as I like to call it I think I have seen it maybe 5 times. I atleast remember 2 of thoese times. The double floor glitch is where two floor layouts are called in for that floor of the scarescraper. Evey floor is a prebuilt floor plain I don't know if the ghosts are procedurally generated or not. You wouldn't realize that something is wrong unless you notice that you and your other teammate(s) that spawned in diffrent rooms are not in the same room even thought the map say you are, A teammate walked thru a blocked door or you have a door that they don't have, A room tha you don't have access to. That glitch would allways crash my game becuase the game relasied something really unexpected happed. That same check that realized something is worng is why the orange Luigi was freed after about a minute of the carpit being pulled by one of his teammates. I think that smaller glitchs like the small blue pot on top of a plant stand will still scare Luigi because it was used to trgger the ghosts to spawn in that 1by1 room on the wall you look through.
Having the wrong camera placement is somewhat rare too. Why I mean is, The camera will be placed by the back wall or one unit away from the wall you look through. I liked that there is that wood planking at that bottom edge of the room where the wall you look through.
I don't care if you believe or not. I spent over an hour typing this up and getting my spelling right on some words. I just never had anyone to really talk about Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon I never played the first one or the third one and I know this one got labed as the second one in the series.

You can't even tap on a location to pinpoint it on the map and have Luigi say "Over here!"

Most I've ever encountered was the walls turning invisible for a split second when I run towards a door.
Scarescrapper has always done this since the 3ds version
The same thing used to happen on the 3DS version, Nintendo really went lazy with this port
Not Really People Now Aka "True Mario Fans" Are Hating On Wonder For No Reason And They're Just Bored Till The Next Game Comes Out And People Are Doing The Same Thing With This Game A True Mario Fan Like Me Is Someone Who Doesn't Hate Any Of The Games In The Whole Franchise.

Have you ever spawned in a room outside of the map? Is that still a thing in this version?

this happened to me with the repeating sound glitch but they were able to save me😭

Woah, that animation video wasn't exaggerating.
Seems like a desync issue more than anything. ScareScraper still has the same vulnerabilities as the 3DS version. You can spawn objects in just as easily with a little bit of hash editing so clearly not much was modified code-wise.
Did blue Luigi have the most rooms cleared?

Wow i never saw this glitch, but one time i played with people online i duplicated the Key 2 times in one game and i was wondering why i have 3 key not 1 (and i think i know how i duplicated the keys)

They seriously messed up scarescraper. My experiences with it have been pretty bad too. Not to this level, tho
This was my favorite multiplayer mode in any 3DS game and it feels like they barely playtested it for the port D:
My biggest issue with it is that there isn't any sort of download play. On the 3ds, as long as everyone had a 3ds you could play it with your friends. Not all of my friends have luigi's mansion 2 hd.

I've only had connection problems personally.
