      I wonder if you have fixed:
      1. The Atlas Compressor still shows the headphone connection and doesn't respect the minimum and maximum values from the pedal. When I switch from Compressor A to B, which is off, I can't go back to A because there is NO switch!
      2. With many pedals, there are incorrect values in the editor compared to those stored in the pedals.
      3. Logging in is required after any update!!! This is ridiculous. What if I'm on stage with no internet!!!
      4. After clicking firmware update, the process starts immediately - the old editor asks if you are sure you want to do it. After this update process, the Atlas Compressor makes a terrible noise, so I have to redo it with the old software.
      5. You almost ruined a very good platform - look at the comments on the Apple Store.

DO YOU GUYS EVEN PLAY MUSIC? CLEARLY, YOU DO NOT. ALSO, HOW DO YOU NOT MAKE AVAILABLE FOR THE LATEST IPAD OR ALL AVAILABLE TABLETS AND ANDROID? IT'S AN ABSOLUTELY USLESS APP. WHY DO EVEN BOTHER? THE OLDER PHONE VERSIONS AT LEAST SOMETIMES WORKED, BUT BARELY. I REALLY DON'T GET IT. YOU SHOULD ALSO MAKE OLDER VERSIONS AVAILABLE FOR ALL PLATFORMS. YOU CAN'T EVEN ENJOY THE PEDALS, AND...., SOME OF THESE F***KING PEDALS LIKE THE C4 SYNTH, ARTIFAKT, COLLIDER PEDALS MORE OR LESS COSTS THE CONSUMER UP TO AND BETWEEN $269.00 TO $379.00 US?!?!? AND YOU CAN'T F***ING USE IT WITH EVEN THE LATEST iPAD? IT'S BEYOND ABSURD. FIVE YEARS..... WITHOUT ANY CONCRETE, PRACTICAL, APPLICABLE, OR USABLE CHANGES. NOTHING. THE AMOUNT OF TIME SPENT ON YOUR VIDEO PRODUCTIONS ARE 100,000X BETTER THAN YOUR PAST AND UPDATED NEURO 3 APP. AGAIN..., FIVE YEARS!!!!!!???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

    Important PSA, this update bricked my pedals (and I figured out a fix). I installed the Neuro 3 and clicked to update the firmware on my pedals (C4, Atlas, Ultrawave Bass, & Neuro Hub). All of the updates ended with an error message and then none of the pedals would pass any signal through (even when bypassed) or respond to any commands in the Neuro 3 app (luckily, I had backups of my presets saved in my library). Skipping to the end of everything I tried to fix this, here's what to do if this happens to you: First, do a manual reset by unplugging the pedal, holding the Alt button, and plugging it back in (you can release the alt button when the lights flash). Second, install the previous version of the Neuro app and connect your pedal(s). Click to update the firmware. It will say that it's already up to date, but you have to click to download the firmware manually. That will bring you to a file folder where you can select the appropriate image for your pedal and install it. Finally, after the install is done, you'll need to unplug your pedal for 10 seconds. When you power it back on, it'll work again. You will need to load all of your presets again, but at least the pedal(s) won't be bricked.

    • @joshkaprun

      Also, the new Neuro 3 app won't load unless you're connected to the internet (this may not bug you, but it is really inconvenient for me).

The channel selection editing the ultrawave is not clear, I can't tell which channel I'm editing, no color or highlight. Also a light mode would be nice. Do not care about community features.. care about QoL improvements on tweaking my own pedals. can I edit Ultrawave settings within neurohub scenes in 3.0? Coolest pedal on the face of the planet, absolute PITA to work with.

    • @nunyabidness93
      @nunyabidness93 3 месяца назад

      The answer is no. The ultrawave still requires its own individual USB connection separate from the Neurohub., meaning I still can't configure it within a scene. I also have to manually add each pedal to a new scene because "with all selected pedals" doesn't do anything. Also, login requirement to tweak my pedals is derptastic.. sorry for not sugar coating that or what I'm about to say.
      Community presets don't help me much. I'm using different gear than the people creating them.. so I have to assume those presets sound better to the person who created them than they do through my rig. They're not very usable.
      As it stands I'm thinking about listing all my source audio pedals for sale and never looking back because, and especially since adding the Ultrawave, there is just too much effort involved in sitting down to dial in new sounds. As if it weren't already inconvenient that I must have a smart device or computer to do so, even if these pedals are the only gear I own that require an external device to really utilize. That requirement wouldn't be so bad if not for the layers of tedium involved in my pedalboard added by the ultrawave.
      Not that I'm some bigshot that you should've heard of before or anything, but currently I'm hyper focused on another piece of gear I've added to my setup that has done nothing but simplify my music experience at home. I'm probably going to be spending like 6mos or longer developing my skills on said piece of gear before I start regularly incorporating bass and guitar into it.
      If the Neurohub can't handle the Ultrawave, it's high time you guys release something that can. Frankly, if you guys built a piece of hardware with a nice sized screen, knobs, buttons and a user friendly UI dedicated to controlling any and all one series pedals on my board.. A dedicated pedalboard friendly "Neuro Editor".. I'd buy it. For the convenience, and the layers of tedium that would potentially remove from my pedalboard, and the easy access to controls it would offer me. I'd buy it.
      But if a new solution isn't here by the time I gain confidence with my hardware sampler that is any instrument I want to be with a built in looper, and I'm ready to start writing guitar and bass parts... hmu I'll probably have a few Source Audio pedals for sale as I'll have replaced them with a Line 6 Helix.
      Good luck Source Audio.

    I understand that in this DSP world you can't expose everything directly on the pedal - and I really appreciate the options for deep editing - but it shouldn't be necessary to create a cloud account and log into it in order to edit parameters on offline hardware that I own. Are these parameters just simply unavailable to users if your cloud goes down for some reason or if you decide a user has violated your terms? What are you doing with our data?
    I'm open to having a way to log in to share presets, engage with your community, etc., but having a required login to simply use a pedal to its full potential gives all kinds of red flags.

    OK, really have to comment here... I've been trying to enjoy the Kingmaker I bought last year, but that old Neuro editor was really annoying to use. I ended up putting the pedal on a local Craigslist. Nobody bought it. Luckily. Then a couple of days ago this version 3 editor comes out. Well... congrats, it is amazing how well you organized the whole thing. Makes editing a breeze, comparing, saving, testing out new sounds, swapping, and most of it done on just one screen. Took me 5 minutes to finally set up the Kingmaker the way I had intended to use it when I bought it. I found the old editor was just so disheartening to use, but I cannot express how glad I am that you addressed all the issues everybody was having with it, and then some... and then you come out with what is IMHO one of the best editors I've every tried. I only wish there was a way to save presets when the pedal is not connected to the editor, like on my good old, and gigantic, Multiwave Distortion Pro, where you just hold one of the pedal's switches down for a few seconds so that any on the fly edits can be saved to the preset. Or did I just not see the instructions for that in the manual? The pedal switches on the Pro are among best of all the pedals I've ever used, but on the newer pedals you seem to have gone back to normal switches.
    Anyways, brilliant editor this Neuro 3!!! Removed the ad from Craigslist, and managed to find a spot on my pedalboard for the Kingmaker... though now I'll probably need more space for an Ultrawave...

If you haven't downloaded Neuro since that date, you should throw away your current version and download the latest on the site - www.sourceaudio.net/publicbeta.html

      Windows: Right click on the pedal and select "Delete"
      Mac: Do a two finger click on the mouse pad and select "Delete'

      All of the options you're looking for will work with the latest Neuro 3 updates: Desktop - Version 3.0.20 & Mobile - Version 3.5.5. You can set how the EQ2's tuner is accessed by going to the "Hardware Options" (click the gear icon in the top right corner of the Sound Editor) > click "Hardware Options" to open the menu. In that menu select how the Tuner is accessed in the "On/Off Footswitch Option" dropdown menu.
      Assigning control to the Option footswitch of the Ventris Dual Reverb is done on a preset-by-preset basis, and you can assign a different functions to the Option footswitch for both the A and B reverbs. You can set them in the "Option Footswitch Assign" sections of the Sound Editor in Neuro.

Meaning You can try out presets and see feedback if you turn the knob, it moves in the app as well but it says disconnected and you cannot save anything to the pedal or get info as to what you called the preset. The Windows version behaves erratically. Sometimes the Artifakt will connect, sometimes not. Got to say that the Android app of Neuro 3 really was not ready for prime time. For example, using my Vertigo, selecting a type of tremolo from the dropdown menu will **display** the variety that I selected, but does not change the sound whatsoever. I have to select it maybe 3 or 4 times before there are any changes to the audio. Additionally, the app will randomly cut off the audio going to my right amplifier (stereo rig) and seemingly nothing I can do will get the audio to return. I have to completely shut down the app and start over. This happens multiple times while just trying to tune a tremolo setting.

You can just try turning up the volume on your phone a little bit. 2. If 1 doesn't work, try the calibration process again - just go to the "Pedals" page and delete the Vertigo. Shut down Neuro, open it, then add the Vertigo again from the "Pedals" page. Connect and redo the Calibration process. 3. As far as I can tell, this seems to be nearly nine minutes of mostly misinformation. I have Neuro3 on my ipad, am using it with the EQ2, and it can't do hardly any of these things. I can save community presets to my library--that is true--but the functionality for accessing EQ2 features like Frequency, Q Factor, and Gain, which are on the physical pedal is so basic that it reminds me of a 1990s Paint app for Windows. There is no indication of what exact frequency you are changing or what the Q value is--despite all the videos that make it seem like you can see that in the app. This is particularly bad because whenever I manually change the gain level of a frequency band with the physical knob, save the change, and go back to make sure it got saved, I am shown a different value than I just entered. Now, these things might be chalked up to user error, but I can't tell because there is no video about using Neuro3's mobile app (iOS), or any video (or other information in the manual) about checking on values you thought you saved into the EQ2 pedal.

    • @sourceaudioeffects
      @sourceaudioeffects  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for the feedback! All of this should be working fine with Neuro 3 for iOS. Make sure you have the latest version of Neuro 3 (3.5.5 ). To see what version you're on, tap your account icon (bottom right corner) > then the three dot icon (top right corner) > select "About" - the version number will be right below the Neuro icon.
      To adjust the Band Level, Frequency, and Q, you need to select the "Equalizer" tab > tap on the EQ graphics > under the EQ graphic slide the selector to the Band you want to adjust. After you've done that you can hold your finger on the parameter (Virtual knob) you want to adjust - that will open up the fine tuner control. In there you can either slide or type in the exact Level (or Frequency - Q) you want. To save the new settings to the pedal, hit the Burn icon (the lightning bolt graphic at the bottom center), and select the preset position where you want it saved.
      Hope this helps. You are correct, we do need to make a video with the mobile app, but we are waiting until we get out of the beta phase to do that. Feel free to email us at contact@sourceaudio.net if you have any other specific questions.

    Both versions of the program - for Mac and iOS - crash at startup when attempting to log in. However, after a few hours, the app on iOS finally logged in - the Mac version is still crashing. However, the number of bugs makes it practically unusable!!!
    After adding devices without connecting them first, they are recognized as "not connected," which is completely idiotic!!! However, after trying to add, for example, the Atlas Compressor with the USB cable already connected, the program indicates a connection via the headphone port, and that's probably why it doesn't work correctly. Because later there are complete nonsense interactions between the device and the app.
