Wales looks absolutel beautiful. My wife and I have been touring for 15 years but shamed to say that we never investigated what looks like a fantastic destination. 2years ago we sold our van and purchased a static caravan in Norfolk which I absolutely love (as can use it so much more than I did when I owned a tourer), but I can’t help but miss our touring adventures. We owned a Swift Challenger and had some fantastic holidays in Southern France, Lake District, Peak District, Devon, New Forest and Isle of Wight. I think there’s room for both in my life and the Basecamp looks perfect…..

Another wonderful video. Especially nice for this Welshman abroad (Japan). I was born in Llangollen, brought up in Glyndyfrdwy and went to secondary school in Ysgol Y Berwyn, Y Bala. That meant that the schools that we were connected with for such things as sports and cultural events were, Ysgol Y Gader (Dolgellau), Ysgol Ardudwy (Harlech) and Ysgol Y Moelwyn (Blaenau Ffestiniog). When at school (many, many moons ago), I can remember going every Friday to Dolgellau for the area orchestra practice. It was a two journey home from Dolgellau to Glyndyfrdwy and there was a special bus put on for us. So very fond memories of Dolgellau. Welsh schools typically take their names from local mountains, rivers and lakes. Even our 'houses' at school were named this way. Tegid (Llyn Tegid - Bala Lake), Celyn (Afon/Llyn Celyn - River Celyn/Tryweryn Reservoir), Dyfrdwy (Afon Ddyfrdwy - River Dee) and Aran (Mt. Aran). To this day, I have no idea how English schools name their houses in each year.
What a beautiful place to grow up. Harlech holds a special place in my heart. My primary school was called Ysgol Llewelyn named after Carnedd Llewelyn which is a mountain in the Carneddau range in Snowdonia.
I notice you have an awning skirt below the basecamp door. I’m due to collect a basecamp 4 soon and wonder where you got the skirt, the make etc. loving the videos.
The skirt comes with the awning. I’m not sure if they can be purchased separately. We’ve have two awnings and both of them came with one. Thank you for the comment😊

Thanks for the feedback. The app is called Outdoor Active. It used be called View Ranger. I use it to plan all my hikes. It’s a superb navigation tool.
Broadly…. with the awning on a serviced pitch…. I’d say best part of an hour. Used take me two at least when we where newbies but I’m in the routine of it now which makes it all a lot easier.
@@DNN88 Hi Daan. I film the majority of the footage on my iPhone 12. All the close up shots which have a blurred background are captured on a Sony ZV1 and finally I use my DJI Mavic Air 2 for the drone shots. I have got a GoPro 10 which I capture the Base Camp being towed and using the motor mover shots on. However I’ve decided that I’m no longer going to use the GoPro 10 after this trip because the image quality doesn’t stack up against the iPhone, Sony and the DJI drone. I’m actually very disappointed with the GoPro 10.
I absolutely love your videos, we pick up our brand new basecamp 2 next month, and will be tracing your footstep, well done, keep them coming.

Lovely video mate. How long does it take you from arrival to fully set up the Base Camp (inc awning)?

The prices are very silly at the moment. I follow the Caravan Place on RUclips and they regularly post videos about the market.
In the Netherlands its the same. Ridiculous tho. Do you film everything with a gopro or other devices?

If you buying a fridge go tm with the total cool had both and both do the same but the total cool is much cheaper
