Great video, but stops after 14 minutes - the section after the road test doesn’t play - would be very interested to see the workshop part of the inspection if it can be added - thanks

Great video! Would love to be a customer of yours one day - a 12c road map is underway for early next year (house purchase dependant)!

@Dung_Beetle1617 I’m in exactly the same situation but for a 570GT. Hope the housing market is good!

I think something went wrong at the end of the video.

6:06 Can you confirm if you need to press the active button to change drive train mode?

You mean to change from auto to manual?

@@ThorneyMotorsport Sorry, I mean to change between comfort, sport and track. I thought you had to press the 'Active' button first otherwise the car would not register the request. But here you just turn the dial without pressing it

@@ThorneyMotorsport Ah thanks. I'm not entirely sure what the active button does in that case :/

@@larssonk22 activates aero and makes it full manual, if you use the paddles its auto/manual so will still change gear automatically at higher/lower RPMS, with manual you have complete control (it wont change gear for on upshifts, but will still change down to 1st when you stop)

Great video John , what kind of person would neglect a 650 s like that , they should be banned from owing supercars

Probably this car’s original owner is typical of the type of person who buys a McLaren: Inherited wealth, little knowledge of cars, unable to shift stick or do well on a track, rarely exceeds the speed limit . . . NOT a motorhead. To this owner demographic, the car’s purpose is to validate its owner to his similarly clueless peers as “genuinely wealthy” and therefore “one of us.”

The video concludes with 5:30 remaining. Probably a production oversight, no big deal.
I would be curious what advice John gives to someone shopping for a used McLaren and obviously unable to afford even standard service. Such individuals will never become profitable customers, and so every moment spent with them is an expense to the shop. Methinks John can spot this type at 20 paces and has a prepared little script that gently sends them on their way.
