EVERYTHING is a callback. The psychic actually HAS a shattered piece of pottery mended with gold in her office for example, and tells Rebecca about Kintsugi. The little girl playing Dutchman's daughter is the SAME actress who played young Rebecca in the mirror. The Flight Attendant who thinks Ted is a jackass for not deplaning with Beard is the SAME attendant who helps Henry onto the plane home at the start of Season 3. The girl getting Trent's autograph on The Richmond Way is the same girl Ted interacts with on the Richmond streets many times. Of course, the guy hit in the face with Isaac's penalty kick is Rebecca's ex, who was always fickle about sports teams. There are dozens more callbacks like this in the finale.
The guy that got hit in the face with the ball was the guy Rebecca went on a double date with Roy and Keeley in season 2 I think? He talked on that date about how he went back and forth rooting for Manchester City or Manchester United depending on who's better. He's also the guy whose girlfriend said "knighn in shiting armor" earlier in season 3.
"Shite in knining armour" but yep, that's the guy (though now as a true fan, having found his passion - I guess they're each other's "struck by lightning" :).
I love the love for Trent Crimm, he is my fave - when James Lance was on Brett Goldstein’s podcast, Brett said that one of his whole fave things about Ted lasso is watching him in the background acting because he didn’t have to say too much ever with his lines but you could tell what he was thinking or observing really clearly and it made him so integral to the show
I’m so happy to have gone on this journey with you all. This show has stayed with me since first time watching it. It has changed my outlook and my inner monologue. I just feel more hopeful overall.
Brett Goldstein was originally just a writer for this show, but he realized that he was perfect for Roy after writing 5 episodes, so he filmed some auditions clips semi jokingly and they loved it
Wellllll....... he _described his audition tapes to them_ as 'something we can just pretend didn't happen' if they said nyet but he was one hundo percent serious.
I bawled like a baby this entire episode. The culmination of 3 seasons of incredible television. Also i think the guy with the bloody face who got hit by the ball was the man that Rebecca almost dated. He's the one Roy said wasn't good enough for her because she deserves someone who makes her feel like she was struck by lightning.
First and foremost, Ted Lasso is what brought me to your channel. You are one of only two reaction channels I watch, so thank you for all the great content. Thank you specifically for watching Ted Lasso. As a full on Jamie lover, one thing you may not have noticed, Jamie's hat early on was ICON, to standout singularly. In the last episode it was changed to ICOG, a part of a greater whole. If you look close you can actually see the stitching of the G over the N. In addition, the play they ran, where Jamie was the decoy, was a callback to mid season one, where Nate came up with the play and Jamie wouldn't run it because he couldn't be a decoy, showcasing Jamie's arc had completed and he was fully vested in the team play (properly, not improperly like last episode). A separate thought. If you watch Ted Lasso through again, especially soon after finishing it the first time, you notice a TON of things you didn't know to notice the first time through.
I don't know if you heard Ted but in his goodbye on the plane, we finally heard Coach Beard's real name "Willis". Loved watching your reactions to this show and hope that The Bear is the next show (after One Piece live action).
@@fayesouthall6604 At the time though, it was set up as if that was just him making a reference to the famous Gary Coleman line. The meaning was only given to viewers retroactively in the finale.
I hope you guys react to Shrinking next! It's created by Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein from Ted Lasso, with Jason Segel and Harrison Ford! It feels a lot like a spiritual sucessor to Ted Lasso. It's more focused on mental health and grief in particular, but with lots of laughs. I loved every second of the first season, and I think you guys will too :)
Shrinking is amazing!!! So funny but also emotional, not the same as Ted but a wonderful companion show of sorts. I hope you try it guys, 😢 you’re the best!
I love this show. Every single thing about this show is so sspecial to me, and I will remember it for the rest of my life. Ted's emotional journey having an impact on everyone else's is a beautiful thing, and I am so happy for being able to witness it. I've watched the entire show at least 5 seperate times and every time I watch it, I cry my eyes out. Thanks for watching this show fellas, it has been a pleasure to see you love this show as much as I do.
I'm so happy and grateful the Crew reacted to this show. It's been a wonderful journey. While all good things must come to an end. Still super sad it's over.
It was a pleasure rewatching the show with you guys! Ted Lasso will always have a place in my heart. It wasn't perfect cause nothing really is. But it was damn near close. From characters plus side characters and the way they developed to the drama and the comedy it was just so special. So many wonderful portrayals of men supporting each other on an emotional level not shying away of talking about important stuff instead of the often shown "stoic men not dealing with their shit". And right out the gate starting with women supporting each other building strong relationships without the typical show elements of fighting over men and being petty. That's something I realky enjoyed from season 1 and throughout. So many characters started deep in their pain and insecurities and worked their way through it to a better and healthier place. And the quotes we got from this show will last a a decade. Can't see or hear about "barbecue sauce" without tearing up and feeling proud. 😅
Did you guys notice that in this episode, as well as in a previous episode this season, Trent Crimm is wearing an Ashland University t-shirt? Turns out, the show's costume designer found it in a vintage shop in London. Ohio represent! (Also, it's my alma mater.)
So sad this one is over, as someone from the UK who loves and works in the Football industry, I loved each and every reaction. Glad you guys loved the show!

Brilliant show! But dang Eric can almost really blow a mood. Geez... just enjoy it in the moment. 😂😂 So enjoyed this fun with you lovely guys and blind wave patrons. Blissfully joyful. Until next time... thank you.😊
Giving Eric crap for calling out the compositing is understandable, but he does have experience with visual effects, and that can take people out of the immersion, so his calling it out is also understandable. You could also interpret it as Eric trying to hold back the flood of emotion by focusing on something else. Just be glad Aaron & Calvin felt the same way. You just gotta heed Walt Whitman’s wisdom: Be curious, not judgmental.
@sofiyanali2489 Unfortunately, it turns out that Walt Whitman didn't say it. The quote has long been attributed to him, but the Walt Whitman scholars find no corroboration.
Ah, the sign of a great show and a great reaction; you almost can't wait to get to the end because of all the wonderful things that will fall into place... then, when it's all over, you're left in tears, contemplating what in the world you're going to do now?! Then you realize Blind Wave pumps out quality content all the time. WOOOO. On to the next great thing. This has been a great series to watch with you guys. Thank you.
I really hope you guys react again with Rick on the episodes he missed in the future. This is definitely a great show to rewatch just to get all the fuzzy feelings going again
If Rebecca was genuine about that "I'll make you the highest paid coach in the Premiere League" thing, Ted just walked away from at least 20 million dollars a year. He could pay his wife a couple million a year to live in Britain, just so they could both live in the same country as their son, who would get to grow up in a country actually playing soccer with literally the best players in the world, probably get on a Premiere League team when he grows up and become a millionaire in his own right. Oh well, I guess he can play soccer professionally in America too, as long as he can get his shifts at Target covered. So yeah, hot take: Ted ruined his and his family's life by turning down the job at the end. (Just to clear up any possible confusion: this is a joke, even if it's true, and I love this show.)
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REWATCH it!!!! I would love for you to rewatch it and then just post a video of your thoughts. I had to rewatch it to get everything cuz i forgot certain things in from the first season that made more sense in S3 after i watched it. I really hope you do😊
You guys should definitely watch Hannah’s Christmas special as little bonus reaction for the end to Ted Lasso. It’s really great and the cast has tons of cameo’s.
8:10 the whole point of ripping it up was to demonstrate they didn’t need it anymore. It feels like this episode leaned into like kinda resetting a few things just to throw back to episode one, no matter how much sense it makes. At least Nate got to practice some kintsugi.
Don't get me wrong I'm totally okay with how this show wrapped up. There is a part of me though that when Rebecca said that she was thinking about "traveling abroad" that she would've followed up with saying "I hear Kansas is very nice."
24:13 there’s still the shite in 9ing armor, which goes nowhere and also would’ve been hard to cold read that Maybe she paid Rebecca’s friend to say that to her
5:38 this is one of my biggest problems with this finale. How can he not even pretend to care? It feels like the writers made him a complete buzzkill in this episode just so separate him from Michelle. And all in the name of repairing the broken relationship whose brokenness has been a load-bearing pillar of Ted’s character from the word go.

27:34 Nate could’ve contributed a piece (maybe he did; I don’t remember) to complete his redemption in a more physical way. I guess he still got that with the blink-and-you’ll miss it kintsugi in the montage
This is a filmmaking note that you guys will like. Season 1 opens on a close-up of bad Rebecca and ends on another close up of good Rebecca (after the spit-take). 23:12 the prophecy of having a family and being a mother was totally cheating! She had become part of the team, and the owner could maybe be a maternal figure, so the prophecy was ALREADY fulfilled!!!! She has the team! That’s a family!
Yes, but, I think they set that up the way they do so that we stop looking for the family for her, so that we are completely surprised by the scene at the airport.
OT3 ❤ I wish they could have done S3 better. It had brilliant episodes like Sunflowers but compared to the first two, not so mich. I still love the show as a whole.
One of the smaller things I liked in this one is, they win the game but not everything. That double-edged joy/heartache captures something true about football so whether it came from Sudeikis himself or someone else, they're certainly a football fan :). Great run of reactions to a great show that pretty much entirely stuck the landing IMO.
I am convinced (/wishful thinking) that they will make a spin off show called the Richmond Way mirroring Trent Crim changing the title of his book from the Lasso Way. It will basically be the same show just with Ted not there (even beard chose to stay)
I don't know if the Blind Wave guys are Buffy conversant, but one of my favorite things about Rupert Manion is that Anthony Stewart Head played another Rupert on that show who was every bit as noble and heroic as this Rupert ISN'T. I'm probably not the first person to bring it up, though!
Start crying it’s a brilliant episode ties everything up. Perfect TV show. John Wingsnight was the victim in the crowd. By the way Ted forgave Nate a long time ago. Rupert’s clever because his shitty behaviour is behind closed doors usually. Pushing the coach is very public.
how good was this show? it made you care for a paper sign. the slide shot of Jamie visiting with his dad is where i finally lost it. the only flaw i had was there was no Ted saying goodbye to Higgins. that would have been nice to see.
He's turning down about 20 million a year, if they can afford to make him one of the best paid as they say, 3 year contract - 60 mill - youd get that family over quick style.

Oh my God… 😮
Sounds familiar, but can you give more details as to it's meaning. Please and thank you.
