I do think this design for Satan is really cool and I would imagine most people prefer this version, but I'm a little bummed it isn't the one from SMT2.
@@Kanzuki Well Atlus does change demon designs often, but they're usually for a specific game and in other iterations they stick with classic Kaneko designs. I just assumed that the Satan design they went with here would be exclusive to 4Apocalypse, so when it wasn't I was just a little surprised is all.

Iirc Mastema is basically another interpretation of Satan and something about Mastema actually with Gods permission able to control demons to test humanity. I think Tony4you made a video about Mastema as well talking about this.

i think i can come up with something for most of these: hariti: the only lady demon with buddhist origins. i think the sitar in the background may be in reference to satans connection to shiva from his kaneko design with the third eye and many arms, and buddhism has connections with hinduism including the idea of the third eye titania: highest level fairy in vanilla smt5, also said to be based on the goddess diana, unlike the other fairies who don't have such high status arahabaki: most weaknesses of the demons satan summons, and also the only kunitsu to not actually be a kunitsukami. interestingly, he, sraosha, and kumbhanda are the only three of his demons to already be bosses in the game, albeit arahabaki is only a boss in canon of creation, not vengeance ganesha: maybe also the shiva connection mentioned earlier kumbhanda: highest level haunt in vanilla. his miniboss was also pretty forgettable especially since he also shows up as a random encounter kaiwan: paraselene blur, he is also mentioned in the new testament as an object of idolatry sarasvati: the wife of brahma, who can be equated to YHVH despite most hindus actually believing vishnu or shiva is the creator and brahma is only a secondary creator yatagarasu: probably just the coolest option, or maaaaybe a reference to mastema being compared to a raven, which is a type of crow fafnir: missed opportunjty to include seth in reference to smt2, but to be fair seth is already a boss in the egyptian bethel hideout. highest level non-boss drake demon macabre: a personification of death itself, also paraselene blur mada: highest level vile in vanilla, also shares a name with one if the six enemies of the mind in hinduism, roughly equivalent to pride sraosha: highest level herald who isn't a special fusion aside from metatron and sandalphon, and sandalphon would be kinda weird appearing as just a goon rather than a full fledged boss, and metatron was already a boss. sraosha is a miniboss too but not as significant as arahabaki, who is part of masakado's requirements
@@acidgod907 You actually can, but you can't stack the evasion buff. Nahobino has to dodge a second attack naturally for it to proc. It's considerably more reliable to get Yoshitsune to give you a press turn though.
Is Yoko a NG+ option or is she like Tao? Tao left since I was in the Law route, but kinda unfair to see Yoko still able to be used. Wonder if she can go to NG+ unless restricted.
@@Aldo-yi3ep one press turn from dodging with Luminescent Mirage and Intercalation, one full press turn from Yoshi innate which is to attack with him on null/repel/drain. During dps turn, I just shelve all of my demons to stock so I have Nahobino dps all the time.

You can use this very strat with figment slash and really easily beat him Get a naho with , high phys pleroma and phys pleroma, critical zealot, and dragon eye and evergreen dance Put every single stat in strength with a new testament if that's not the build you're rocking with already Demi fiend knows every demons affinity but not their skils, he also always uses deadly fury immediately on whatever demon enters the field for the first time as long as it doesn't innately voids phys You want to drain all 5 press turns with this you need either reflect or absorb phys as a skill so get both fallen Abdiel and snake nuwaz any demon of the deity race and the deity talisman from the bull's god lineage quest line, from demeter and of course, Nahoheeho Also have the race transcendence and skillful conservation miracles My setup looked like this Nahobino Nahoheeho Beelzebub Baal Turn 1: nahobino uses omnipotent succession which costs a little less magatsuhi due to skillful conservation and Nahoheeho passive and evergreen dance Nahoheeho changes to fallen Abdiel Beelzy hit a weakness to build magatsuhi Baal luster candies Naho dances Abdiel fallen destroyers Beelzy debilitates Demi fiend deadly fury's on Abdiel and turn ends Turn 2 Naho dances Abdiel a switches to nuwa Beelzy hits a weakness Baal luster candies Naho dances Nuwa hits a weakness Beelzy hits a weakness Demi fiend hits nuwa, gets drained and turn ends Turn 3 nahobino who still has omnipotent succession now does omagatoki charge with race transcendence, getting the deity omagatoki from Baal and does 4 figment slashes, the other 3 demons return to stock and nahobino just keeps clicking the figment slash till demi fiend dies The demi fiend fight is really cool and there's like a hundred setups to beat it but I like this one since I hate essence farming nuwa and Abdiel since they start so high level and take way too long to level up
@@shury4260it's better to go with murakumo and almighty pleromas since figment slash can't crit on resist and you have to pass on nahobino for those second dances because you can only do it once per player turn but otherwise solid strat man

You can use the Arahabaki strategize setup for easy demi fiend clear if you are struggling, there is a video I showcase 3 turn satan with the same idea. Some tweaking is necessary but the idea is about the same.
Is gogmagog passive description misleading cause i assume your team has hardly any weaknesses and i thought it was the more exposable weaknesses the higher the crit rate and accuracy? Either way Gogmagog looks absolutely busted and i have clearly been sleeping on him hard.
I generally run Xiezhai weakness to actually boost Gog crit damage (not crit rate, damage) so yes thats why he is too OP. I dont remember why I run Demi Fiend essence here but yeah I forgot to change it back.
Magatsuhi plunder does 2 things. First it guarantees that Satan is going to use a Magatsuhi skill next turn. The exact skill he uses depends on who he absorbed. The second effect is that his affinities change to those of whoever he just absorbed

I find really funny how unlike other bosses, pretty much every clear of this boss is some sort of unothodox strategy rather than anything conventional

@@acidgod907Canon of Creation doesn't have the new essences. It only has the Aogami A B and C essences. You'll need to play CoV for the other skills.

Did the buff satan? i had the same strat and stats, just on normal. Could only get him to little under half hp.
