Super Soul Bros. is what happens when you jam a James Brown record into a Super Nintendo. The San Jose-based collective aims to combine the explosive and off the cuff energy of fusion jazz with the nostalgia of classic game OSTs. This time they've chosen to perform the theme from Sonic Mania's Studiopolis Zone Act 1. The Sonic game series has always been known for having killer OSTs full of New Jack Swing grooves and tight hornlines, with this track being no exception.
