Moving to 15 days is NOT a plus. The best thing about 14 days is one knows exactly when the swap happens. For me it is every other Sunday at 17:00. I don't need to put it in my calendar or count days. This is a big reason I never really considered the Dexcom units. Really? 10 days? Constantly needing to calculate when the next swap happens! No thanks. Still love your videos. Thanks for your willingness to help others.
I just started the libre 3 plus 3 days ago. I applied it nervously. It hurt a lot. I started bleeding from the sensor applicated area, quite a bit. The adhesive only lasted 1 day
THANK YOU! The Libre3 is currently on a NATIONWIDE backorder due to 3 batches of recalls (3 batches x 3 different serial numbers for each so technically 9?). My doctor called this in today for me and my Pharmacy had to order it, I start it tomorrow...kind of NERVOUS ABOUT THE LACK OF INFORMATION I'M SEEING (OR NOT SEEING) ONLINE!
@af1966 me personally have only put it on the upper arm. Never put it anywhere else. But I guess you can idk...just never experienced on other parts of my body
Does the Libre 3 actually get data every minute or does it just predict where it thinks you'll be? I found that it would say I'm going to 150 and then I look back an hour later and I have no readings at 150.
@@DiabetesStrong all Freestyle Libre versions seem to provide predictions, as a number, as well as graph based on actual readings. The fact that it gets actual readings from the transmitter every minute, means the data is better and predictions have a better set of points to work from

Does the libre 3 plus have to be worn on the back side of the upper arm or can it be worn on the abdomen and if it can't be worn on the abdomen why not?
It's only approved for the arm. It doesn't mean it won't work in other places, but to get approval for other placements they'd need to do studies and get that approved by FDA. I haven't worn Libre other places than the arm but have seen others please say they like wearing it on their stomach and thigh
I just switched back to Libre 3 and self injections- I was on Medtronics 780g pump and their absolutely useless sensor for 7 months. Much prefer this " old school way"!!😊 Thanks for all of your videos!!

@@B3Band Even with CGMS, manual finger poke blood tests are still required. Calibrating the CGMS. Determining if the CGMS is accurate or not. And when the CGMS is inactive during the start up period.

With the Libre 2, it was possible to connect the phone app to the sensor after activating it with the reader (though not the other way round), while with the Libre 3 it is one or the other (I have CGM covered though Norwegian public health, and we get the reader as a matter of course) - this meant I'd typically put a new sensor in the arm an hour or two before expiry of the old, so I could still get readings through the phone from the old sesnor while the new was activating. Any idea if the 3 Plus will enable using reader and phone at the same time?
There’s no official smartwatch solution, but I know there are workarounds. I don’t know how to do it, but if you google it you should be able to find some solutions.

What? Been wearing it in the UK since Dec 2023 and I am sure I was not first. How can it be taking so long? Someone really needs to investigate that, seriously. These monitors are a real game changer over 2-4 times a day finger prick test, which I always hated. Now I get up to the minute readings all day everyday without drawing a drop of blood. Hello! What is the downside (apart from cost, but I have never compared it to the conventional test strip costs etc, probably more expensive). Hope you get it soon. I've gone from being diabetic to pre- to bordering on normal blood sugar readings in 6 months. Amazing.

Why so expensive? I'm diabetic. In the UK I pay ~£50 per 15 day sensor, £103.48 (exactly) per month. Your prices seem extravagantly higher? (Libre freestyle2 plus).
I think it's because Lingo is an OTC lifestyle product. They might think that since people don't need that one for medical reasons they'll be willing to pay a higher price. Libre 3 PLUS and Rio should be the same price (hopefully) as the current sensors.
If you use your health insurance in the United States they're not so expensive. Right now my health insurance is at a level where I'm covered 100% through the end of this year so a 3-month supply that I pick up on Monday is going to cost me $0. And then when I get another 3 months supply toward the end of December it's also going to cost me $0. Health insurance I'm sure in the USA is different than health insurance in the UK
