You don’t have to power the hdd externally, as they make a two pronged usb cable, where the 2nd plug is used for auxiliary power and plugs into the other USB port on the back. I’ve used one of them for 6 months with no issues.
Mine gets stuck installing at 0% and says 0/0MB 0%. I have to hold the power button to force shut it down every time. It only lets me instal to nand which would be fine if it was more than 5GB. Any ideas?
OK; so I thought this worked OK. I got to the point where I had a new icon for the game I backed up. When I tried to open it, it wanted to update. (As the disc based version did when I opened it first time). However, unlike the disc version, the update failed and the game didn't open. I had to return to the menu. The backup on the usb is not playable. Any suggestions please?
Heya, just an issue with the wup installer, everytime I install one of my games, I try to back out to the home menu and it just gets stuck on the loading screen forever. I have to force power off my wii u to fix it. The game still downloads but it's kinda annoying having to do this everytime I try to boot back to the menu. Thanks!
Love your video guides. You've given so many of my consoles a second life. Quick question: Is this for Wii U games only or can this also work for Wii games?
Hi, Blaine. Thank you for the video! I'm currently encountering a payload error when trying to launch WUDD from the Homebrew Launcher. My console is on 5.5.6 and I get the error regardless of whether I auto-boot into Tirimasu or not. The error when launching WUDD says "Failed to init (initialize) libmocha. Please update MochaPayload." Any ideas of how I can get past this? Console boots fine, on the most recent firmware as mentioned above, the homebrew launcher comes up fine, appears to be the same version that you're using. For what it's worth, I have switched to a larger SD card since finishing the mod on my Wii U, so I went back and tried to add WUDD to the original SD card that I used to mod the console with all of it's original files still in-tact and I still get the same error using the original SD card, so it doesn't look like I missed transferring any files between the two cards when I expanded - if that makes sense. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!
Update: I downloaded another Environment Loader suite from the Tiramisu download site and transferred all of the files from the new download onto my SD card and over-wrote all pre-existing versions of those files as my versions were from February of 2022. I also used the UFDIINE to remove the update folder and now it looks like WUDD is launching correctly. 👍
I would love if you made another video explaining more Indepth ds emulation/injection, do you require to purchase a ds game for every single game you want to inject into it ?
Lol. Most people know to use an external hdd because a usb can't hold enough memory nor have enough power to work...i use Seagate 2TB...but i recommend WD 4TB My Book, which you can use Ustealth for, and hold wiiu, and Wii games in .WBFS format.
When mentioning "nand" is it referencing the SD card? I've heard the term used to describe internal only soldered on storage in another context and found the menu confusing.
Hi Blaine. You make great easy to follow videos. I jailbroke my Wii U with Your " Use the Simple guide to Jailbreak " video. Then I used your "level up Yor WiiU with This Aroma Install" video. Both installs went great. Then I used your "This One Hack Lets you load Wii U games from USB" video but I could not get back into the Homebrew Channel to finish the install. Was installing Aroma a mistake ? Please advise.

I copied everything from my harddrive to root of the 128 gb card, but now WiiU fails to boot into Tiramisu, not finding an .elf file on the SD card. What should I have done with the backup to make the 128 gb card work? Thanks again, Jim
Thanks for the tip. When I remade the working SD card backup it copied across some extra files, however, even with this new version on the larger SD card I still get the missing payload.elf file error

How to do it if you bought a modded Wii U from someone
Congrats on getting the Wii U. I wouldn't think the process would be any different, as long as the setup on your Wii U is using the same Tiramisu install as the one in the video guide. No harm in trying, as this process in the video doesn't impact a CFW install in any way.
Does this require aroma?
can i use aroma
thats what i think
you'll also need mocha cfw or sigpatch2hbl
