That's a very nice one. Good height on top for taller sockets and a bank of machinist style drawers on the side. Very unique. I collect old tool boxes. I would disassemble it (pull drawers and remove slides). Degrease everything with water based cleaner. Dry parts (in the sun works great). Spray everything down with WD40 Specialist Silicone spray (do inside box before you put drawers back in). Also, spray the slides with same stuff after reassembling. And you got the key! Enjoy the box!
Same model I have, but mine is one year older. And my right side support is broken too. I replied to to comment below about micrometers. Shipping from UK would likely be pricey, and there may be customs fee as well. I could probably set him up with a couple machinist items if he needs.
How strange is that haha. Must have been a design fault. Thanks for the comments and yes would probably be easier to get one in the same country. I have about 8 micrometers so wasn’t to fussed about this one. Thanks again.
We had a KR-537D at work in almost identical condition, it had the same snapped support on the right hand side and even had the same Rick Mears and “Leading the way” eagle decals
Did the owner have a picture of a bike missing? Haha. The guy I got it from said he use to be a mechanic years ago lives in north wales now. Where abouts was your work
What country are you in? Depends on the price of shipping to you you can have it for free as I have a few already. I’m all for helping people out to get started in life to set them up.

I'm pretty sure my Dad had the same box when I was a kid.
They are are a great box definitely a step up from the 26” boxes
Ps. Tap holder is a stud remover. I put a tap in it and thought this doesn’t weigh up searches it and found it to be a stud remover.
ill buy that micrometer in the right second down drawer. I'm going to school to be a machinist.
