Im guiding full time out of Florida Bat Outfitters the kayak shop, right next to Caribbean club. Ive got Wednesday and Thursday lets start doing some videos when your back in town. Ive got some numbers in the Gulf for some sick African Pompano and Cubera snapper smorgasburg!😎👍🏻
I can't believe guys on the boat don't all have 2 speed reels. I have been on 2 ten days long range trip and 5 day trip. What I learned is buy Shimano talica, avet raptor or accurate 2 speed reels. You might all hook in a 150-250 fish anytime.
The Holiday was my favorite boat...I did a 4 day when I left California in 2004 but I don't know what happened to her? non-stop Tuna action that was a fun trip!
@@germicanlifestyle9069 you are so wrong. I have caught big yellowfin tuna over 200 pounds were you are hooked up for over 3 hours. No one on the boat carries a single speed reel. Single speed reel are obsolete nowadays.
I've never been on a charter since moving to SD but I did a fair amount of fishing on the east coast and enjoyed it when I was younger. I'd love to give it a try again at some point if I find the right circumstances. The boat in this vid seemed a little frantic with so many big guys fishing all at once. I don't think I'd enjoy that. It looks a little too chaotic for me. Especially if competitiveness or egos started to get involved or you get a person with a temper and have them fish badly.over all.or worse lose a fish or two very close to the boat under unfortunate circumstances. All that seems like a recipe for a really bad time for me. I'm quiet. I like to laugh and tell stories while I'm fishing. Actually catching fish, for me, runs secondary to the experience of being on a boat either alone or with friends and just enjoying the act of fishing. Actually catching fish can add a great deal to the experience just as catching no.fish or.too.many fish or too many fish but no keepers can detract from the experience. Like spices if fishing were the meal these circumstances can improve or worsen the meal but as everyone has their own tastes and preferences it is up to the individual to judge the experience as a whole. For me going out on a smaller boat with less.people and maybe a bit more personal attention from the staff and maybe just one of two other fishers there that I know or don't know. That to me sounds like my ideal situation. I don't socialize well with large groups.it's just always been a shortcoming of mine. So I'm hoping to find a charter soon that can take me out and show me what So-Cal fishing is all about. I've got so many questions. Any recommendations appreciated.
I remember fishing on a 10 day and hooking up a 220 yellowfin fought that fish for 2 hours. The hook pulled right a gaff range. I took a hour break after that one!!!!

@@waterbug85 im pretty sure that the holiday got renamed its the tribute now
Big catch friend 😍💃🏽
Great video,, thanks. How far out were you? Wondering if my 19ft aluminum is in reach.
we ran north so only 13-15 miles off the coast
I would do it in your boat with vessel assist or tow boat I always want to come home
I saw guys with single speed reels l would only use 2 speed fishing reels averts, shimano talica on these fish.
rental gear H&M had Avet 2 Speeds
Point Loma does not
Single speed is the way to go...cheaters use 2 speeds & it takes the fun out of fishing!

Let's go Brandon! Hate to see you loose that fish!
that's fishing
Butt hook the bait so it swims away from the boat the nose hook works but takes longer to get out
thanks for the tip
@@cousinjim1 you’re welcome I switch between nose hook and butt hook during the trips whatever it takes for them to bite
Same people catching fish haha try what they’re doing maybe you’ll get one on what they have tied on..
Don't need the music...at all .
you are right I stopped using it shortly after this video
Dude seriously stop with the creepy smile when your talking and get rid of the crappy music keep it simple say watup then fish n shoot that’s it
thanks Walter I think you will like my newer videos I cut the music
