I always have to go double check the exchange rates, and I wonder if any of the other audience members may agree with me. I live in Canada, though I think including USD is still relevant for the majority of the audience.

Brass is not as solid as stainless steel and is softer than it. Brass is more corrosion resistant than stainless steel but stainless steek is resistant in its own right because of the Chromium in it. Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion too but will need to be better maintained so it doens't lose its shine/sheen for years..
Any watch can last multiple generation depending on how you use it You can have a 10 dollar watch last 30 years of you can take good care of it and a expensive one last a year because you abused it For 30k, get a Seiko 5 Sports GMT if you want a automatic watch but only if you will use it regularly and service it every 3-5 years. Or go for the eco drive from Citizen. Quartz watch Powered by solar
