    Loved the twist at the end when we find out the tables are going to the same place you made the counters for.
    Ever since I first saw your video where you made those amazing counters using pallet wood, I've been dreaming of building some floor standing speakers using the same technique you employed in both videos, instead of using MDF. They would have a unique look.

    This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

    That LOGO u use for ur channel is great so with that said I'm hoping u put it on all of ur customer work.. Even some way of cutting it into or burning it on or even making some small CNC'd round pieces u could glue into an area on the corner of the tables.. Having ur work on display in a place like this is great for business. Make sure u have signed ur work pal.. Great builds.

    Thank you for taking the time to put together your video. I picked up a couple of good ideas from watching you work.
    Many people underestimate the time and effort that goes into reclaiming wood. They seem to think that since the wood is free, that the price for the item should be low. Not true with all of the labor. Love that new saw in your new shop. Would love to have one. Maybe someday. Keep showing us your work.
    Also, any thoughts on how to salvage the stringers if they are in decent shape?

    • @SlickRickTPB
      @SlickRickTPB 2 года назад +2

      i sell reclaimed stuff for higher than stuff from the lumber yard just because those eco friendly people will pay it to satisfy their "helping the planet ego"

    • @marytramp5678
      @marytramp5678 Год назад

      @@SlickRickTPB that's kind of a rude way of putting it don't you think? Besides it's not only the eco friendly people that want it. it happens to be the home decor trend right now. the "farm style". you can't get that look from wood from a lumber yard. well you can but it's as labor intensive as taking apart a pallet. My daughter happens to make those farm style painted signs. And whenever she cn can her hands on repurposed wood she snags it up. it increases the value of the same sign by 150%. Although she has NEVER bought any of hers. she gets repurposed dock wood, barn wood, but i may just start ripping some pallets apart for her as well.

    About your comment on a "tired planer". I truly get that can take it's toll on a power tool, but that's a pretty good and durable planer (on my wish list). Wouldn't a knife change take care of that problem? Maybe new brushes on the motor? Your work, and more so - your patience - are inspirational. Keep up the awesome work.

    • @treecycled
      @treecycled  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching and the kind words Dan! As for that planer, I've gone through plenty of blade changes, and the brushes still looked great. Even with fresh blades this planer was just not built for the type of production i put it through over the last 5 years. I've run many THOUSANDS of boards through it and it now just over heats after any extended use. I ended up giving it to a friend who is starting out and will use it on a much more normal scale. That being said Its a great beginner planer and I definitely got my moneys worth from it. I've got a few videos on the horizon showing off a new jet lunchbox planer i picked up recently, consider subscribing so you don't miss out! Thanks again for the comment and the kind words. I'm not a Min Wax fan for poly if you have a Home Depot in your area and they're allowed to carry Pro Finisher by Parks for floors gives in my opinion a much harder finish with fewer coats. I used it on my floor near my upstairs steps with cats making that corner never scratch it. Also, I was using another brand on my window sills and the sun within a couple of years would start to peal. After 10 years those same window sills not even a bubble using Pro Finisher Parks Poly plus, I also prefer an oil-based product to a water based. I'm not a rep for Parks, I have used this product for years I just hope they keep it on the market with all the government EPA rules. Nice job, very time consuming

      they looked like old bakery racks, and he also had bread baskets that they deliver bread to stores to put his wood in. Go to your local bread outlet store sometimes they will have them out in back, where they are tossing them out along with the baskets. Always make sure they are getting rid of them first. sometimes they are just in the way and they set them outside.
