If you want an ipad buy the 10.5 2017 ipad pro if you have the money cause the price is close to the air and you still get other cool features like pro motion 12 megapixel camera quad speakers with the ipad air having double speakers 8 megapixel camera no pro motion and if u like drawing ipad pro 2017 is the way to go

I do have 10.5 iPad Pro and I love it. For trips, I always carry my iPad Pro and my Nintendo Switch. When comes heavy productivity, I use my powerful Windows laptop.

As a musician, a Ipad Pro is really great for Sheet music. Instead of carrying a folder of 200 sheets in it, you can now just load it up on a Ipad, and its as big as a sheet of paper
I think the iPad Air is the option for students on a budget. It doesn’t carry the cost of the iPad Pro but it has keyboard compatibility and the A12 chip
Got the Air 2019, really happy with it so far. I know a lot of people say to go for the iPad Pro 10.5 from the 2nd gen and get it cheaper/used because it shares most of the same specs (except Pro 2017 had 120hz display and better speaker placement) but I don't think the 60hz refresh rate on the Air is a deal breaker...I mean come on, I'm coming from an iPad 4 😂....so the Air 2019 feels like a Pro device to me.
I actually owned an iPad(6th gen) last December with the Apple Pencil; and as a college student is a success. The iPad is my notebook, I can see presentations in classes, send notes, PDFs, etc. Practicaly what a college student needs the iPad can do. For a college student, is a hit! Recommended 💯

Went with the $330 2018 iPad 6, because Walmart gave it a rollback to $250 and then I got another 10% off for being an employee, making for a $225 A10 chip + Apple Pencil + iOS 13 upgrade to my $1100 iPad 3 with an anemic A5X (abandoned by Apple with iOS 9.3.5, for a completely ruined experience compared to how fairly the device ran on iOS 5 and 6, the iPad 3 now being arguably the slowest iOS device OF ALL TIME). I understand that the 2019 iPad Mini and Air have A12 CPUs, but my iPhone is the thing I need to be cutting edge, while I just need my iPad to remain on the latest version of iOS. Even after adding a Smart Cover, Apple Pencil, and Apple Pencil sleeve, the whole bundle comes to about $420, only $20 more than a 2019 iPad mini by itself, and $80 *less* than a 2019 iPad Air by itself.
I think batterylife is one of the strong points on iPad, this makes it a more reliable device for people who want work to get done. Over the years indeed the “guaranteed 10 hours batterylife” remained unchanged, but all this with more capable processors and slightly improved displays on it. Not “market leading” display technology, but certainly of good quality. But in the end the definition of a good tablet still is for the user to decide.

I had bought the ipad ipad but returned it after 3 months. The screen is so reflective that it's practically useless. Non laminated display is the worst thing.
I recommend paying a little extra and going for the iPad air. Much better option. You feel a much bigger difference going from ipad 6 to iPad air, but a slight if any difference going for iPad air to the pro

The A12X has twice the bit count and ten times the processing power of the A4. It also has about 400% of the storage, and 4 times the resolution, with a brighter screen and better color expression, yet gives the same battery life. The iPad now is competing with the processing of laptops and desktops, and still provides ten hours of functionality mobile. That’s damned amazing.
I use iPad 1st gen. It is awesome tech. It's the godfather of the iPad dynasty. I use it for browsing, movies, books. It's fun and damn strong than other iPad. Grateful to have one👍🏻
I use my ipad for all of my work and presentations. Works great and is super light and portable. Recently getting into using it for my photo editing. The speed is enough so I no longer need to sit at my desktop which is great.

Given all of Windows 8's flaws, I really appreciated the effort of making a full blown desktop OS become touchscreen/ tablet friendly. It would be cool to have a perfected MacOS become touchscreen supportive and have two modes for touchscreen content consumption and still have desktop/mouse use with a traditional MacOS interface (all while being able to seamlessly switch between the two). Having this all in the form factor of a iPad Pro would be my dream device.

With 4K video, great mouse support (no shitty cursor) and better multitasking, the tab s6 is my no1 laptop-like tablet for working purposes. BUT I still prefer an ipad pro bcs of 120Hz refresh rate which will give me the ultra-smooth scrolling and incredible responsiveness feeling. Besides, I already have a laptop why would I buy a tablet just to replace the laptop.
