Went from 90-91 with the GC turn-in, 92 with weekly collectable, 92.7 after Wachumeqimeqi quest, and almost 95 with leves Something I noticed while grinding leves is that you get bonus exp when you trigger gatherer's boon. It doesn't matter how many more items you get from buffs, just that you trigger it.
As a heads up, you DO NOT NEED to have the second city unlocked to hand in collectables. The appraisers in old cities allow you to still do turn ins. You just dont have access to the new scrip vendor for new items.
@Bizzleberry mostly for those that grab random gathering collectables while spacing out the MSQ. I got really bored here and there and splashed in some gathering and fates myself. Not being able to turn them in at Tuly was kinda annoying. Finding out I can just do it all in Gridania while doing turn ins was awesome.
If you didnt start off with great lv90 gear it can be worth upgrading your gear as you go for bonus first time craft xp bonuses, but generally you can start crafting the lv100 white gear around lv96 ish
Leves are a waste for leveling crafting jobs. They are much more useful for gathering jobs. Going the collectible route for gathering jobs is a waste of time. You are better off rushing to 100, and then farming what scripps you need. It only takes like an hour or two to hit 100 on botany/mining with leves. It takes even less time with fishing, if you do the spear fishing leves. You can just make 30 crafting collectibles to get you from 90-95 and another 30 from 95-100. It's not that big of a deal lol
you cannot make Collectables HQ. There are 4 different thresholds as seen in the hand in screen. So the 4 million on the collectable shown at 15:00 is the flat rate if you max out the collectability. it does not double.
My bad with the wording - Collectables cannot be HQ but collectables can be maxed to get more XP out of an item. Leve hand-ins can be HQ and when you had in a Grand Company / Leve HQ item you get double the XP than what you would otherwise get.

You get a lot more xp for the gatherer's boon proc and the same for fishing with 'large' fish with patience.
So good news is it only took 6 hours to go from 90-100
Bad news is I used up all my rested XP haha. Worth it though

This is true but I would recommend people just do GC hand-ins and focus their time on MSQ

I dont have the option to get orange scripts on my custom deliveries.....is that because I need to finish the msw first?
You might need to be higher level in the craft you are wanting to get orange scrips in, if you are already 100 then it will be the MSQ stopping you.

What do you reccomend we do between timed node spawns? For leveling gathering specifically.
I would recommend just gathering whatever nodes nearby the next spawn / do your delivery hand-ins in the main city.
What about upgrading your tools and gear?
Do you just craft it as you go?
I have EW Indigator stuff, will it be enough to level all the way to 100?
