Your dad rocked my world as a teen. And now... lookie at you.
Hell yeah, kid, you're an incredible musician and singer!
This song is EVERYTHING 🔥🤘💕
Go Go Go Wolf! The complicated instrumentation with great catchy hooks of these songs are so good. Keep it going Wolfie!
This song is a breath of fresh air.. it gives me hope to move forward in life and drown out the negative. I love it!
Why it tonight the first I ever heard this band!? Obsessed ❤
I find myself playing this one over and over...your forever friend and fan, Lynn
Out of all of the guitar masterpieces that Edward Van Halen gifted the music world with... who would have thought, that the greatest one, would be his son?
We are bearing witness to the carrying on, of a guitar legacy. Edward Van Halen has left this life...but the Van Halen legend is just opening up a new chapter. Wolf Van Halen is the real deal.
I think Valerie had something to do with that too
So true
Wolf has been blessed with both of his parents gifts...... He will carry both of his parents gifts and hopefully we’ll all enjoy that ride together...
Well fucking said. Well said.
@@suehaynie5054 Pretty sure she had way more to do with it.
Big props to Jonathan Jourdan on guitar and backup vocals from the band "To Whom It May" a band everyone needs to check out.
Nice build up and great harmonies. Kicks ass! Can't wait to see what you do next.
some say he's not that talented he's mainly just living off nepotism
@@stoplookingformyname3721 if Eddie Van Halen said Wolfgang was talented enough to join one of the most iconic rock bands of all time at the age of 15 or 16 then people can bet on it that he’s legit talented. You can only ride coattails for so long before you stand up on your own and he’s standing tall.
@@gigitonsvajv well there's a lot of people that don't like his music .
@@stoplookingformyname3721 that happens with any musician. So to each his own. 🤷🏼♀️ I think the haters are just jealous.
@@gigitonsvajv dude obviously you're like a Wolfgang fanboy. If that's what you want it's fine but the real Van Halen is where the music's at
I'm two years late but I'm in LOVE with Wolf's music! My dad introduced me to Mammoth recently and it's almost exclusively what I've been listening to on repeat. I'm so impressed that Wolf did all the instrumentals and the vocals. This song specifically is my #1 favorite of all his tracks.
This artist needs to do the next Super Bowl halftime show! Yes, he is that talented!!!
I heard this song on the way to work and fell in love with it.
Same
This kid's voice is amazing. Can't wait to see him live
Seen him a few nights ago... Just as good if not better live👍
Hell yeah Wolfie , you will indeed carry on where your Dad left off , only you'll be something different but just as epic and amazing .This is one F**KIN killer song . Eddie's looking down and saying , "That's my boy right there" , a chip off the ol block!
Enjoy sir…looks like u derived some of ur dad’s talent….gr8 tune….
I can't stop listening to this
LYRICS ❤
We tried so hard
It's time to let it go
We've tried so hard
It's time to let you know
What would you do if I already knew?
How do you sleep at night?
What would you say if I threw this away?
Is it really worth being right?
Will you wake me?
I'm falling down
But I've never felt so alive
Will you hate me
When it's all done?
'Cause I've never felt more alive
We tried so hard
Who knows where we'll go?
We cried so hard
But will it really show?
What would you do if I already knew?
How do you sleep at night?
What will you say when I throw this away?
I've never felt more alive
Will you wake me?
I'm falling down
But I've never felt so alive
Will you hate me
When it's all done?
'Cause I've never felt more alive
And I'll be there when you fall down
Down, down
We'll all be there to watch you crawl
And I was there when there was no one else
But where were you when it went to hell?
Wake me (wake me, wake me)
'Cause I've never felt more alive
Will you hate me
When it's all done?
'Cause I've never felt more alive
Wake me
Alive
Wake me
Alive
Will you wake me?
Alive
'Cause I've never felt more alive
God Bless you Wolfie....you are an AMAZING musician, singer, songwriter, and one thing THAT REALLY STANDS OUT OF YOU.........
You are a pure class act Brother, and we love you for it. Eddie & Mom couldn't have raised a better person...
Too many great tunes on this album to call my favorite, but this ranks in the top 5 for me. Keep on rockin', Wolf.
I could listen to this on repeat forever!
I remember being 10yrs old in 1996 and discovering my dad's cassettes and listening on a Walkman. Vanhalen, foreighner, and ZZ Top were my favorites...van halen being #1. Here I am, about to be 36 and going through the worst hell of my life and this blessing of a man is putting out music that gives me goose bumps. First goose bumps I've had since 2009....before I got caught up in trying to numb myself.
feel u i also found music cures the soul hope u return to the living and feel the joy the sadness the pain u gotta face up to it all
It's so great to see and hear real rock again. I was born in 1951 and have lived through the evolution of rock........I went to many concerts through the 60"s and 70"s Doors, janis, Jimi and everything in between. Even Bloodrock (DOA) This kid is the REAL DEAL. Multi instrumentalist singer writer......all of it. Live long and prosper Wolfie
I love this - and yeah - stand alone musician this guy. You may have the last name but you have owned your own sound. Plays everything, sings like WTH...loving every song on this album.
Hi Anderson, Thanks for your love and wonderful support, including your kind words!.keeps the band going.! 💕 💗🎸🤗🎸🎬
Wolfgang is definitely amazing I love his music and talent, keep Rocking Wolfgang ,I to am a life long VanHalen fan you're making your mother and father proud.
Hi Doe,Thanks for your love and wonderful support, including your kind words!.keeps the band going.! 💕 💗🎸🤗🎸🎬
I was at work on my lunch break at night since I work at night and I was in my car eating and this song came on and I was like who is thissss??? And I asked Siri who sings this song and wolf ofcourse popped up! And I was remembering that he sings distance which is my favorite song by him! Now this one!
Awesome! Wolfie /Wolfgang ( Just like his dad) he ROCKS!
Thank you I recently had to leave a toxic relationship and this song was actually a big motivater to finally speak up for myself. Thank you wolfgang
Stay strong brother.
To say this album floored me is an understatement of MAMMOTH proportions!!
The 'sound' of this recording is MAMMOTH !!! Not to mention the content !!! EVH is 'still alive and well' thru you WVH !!!
He really worked hard with his father and listened to him…. He is really showing what an amazing person he is!!!!! He stayed in the shadows until his Dad was gone then HE SHOWED UP!!!❤❤❤❤
April 14, 2022.
The day I found my new favorite band at 56.
Thank you WVH and Mammoth
I look forward to watching you rise.
Wolfgang is one amazing musician! I have so much respect for this young man. The band he has backing him live is awesome!🤘🎸✌❤🙏👍
Wow!!! Just wow!!! You are amazingly talented Wolfe. You have a style all your own and your great. Your dad is definitely smiling at you from up above and I can understand why he was so proud of you. I can continue to rock on to your music just like I did your dads 💕💞
Nuff said, we can both Rock On Cheryl H!!😀
he's really not that good obviously you don't know what you're talkin about
@@stoplookingformyname3721 that’s your opinion obviously you don’t know good music or what your talking about. So keep your opinions to yourself.
@@stoplookingformyname3721 it’s so disrespectful to comment on someone’s weight so I’m guessing your perfect right??? And in my opinion he’s got his dads gift and considering what he’s been through and as close as he was to his dad having someone like you make fun of him while he’s following in his dads footsteps is just messed up. If you don’t have anything good to say about anyone don’t say anything at all. So keep your negative comments to your self
@@cherylh5633 typical woman that doesn't know what she's talking about. go wash the clothes and scrub the kitchen floor and then start getting dinner ready
What a song. Absolutely amazing!!! ❤ Great job Wolf and crew. Y'all heading for huge things!! I'm sure dad is proud as heck.
I was not expecting the voice tbh. It maybe the bands best asset actually 👍🏻
It's a great thing when your father can influence you from a young age and you make your father proud. My father did it with aviation. He made me a great pilot and a aviation historian in my own right. Being good at what you do is very important.
I honestly have not heard one that I do not like he is awesome every single track is beautiful the best rock I've heard in a long time
Saw them live. It was as good or even better than the official video. It was fantastic.
Always the mark of a great band, I've been told. The band produces albums to promote their live shows. Example: AC/DC.
Example #2: funny little band called Van Halen.
You guys rock!!! Your vocals. your musicianship and lyrics are fantastic - well done gents !
Hey Wolfgang, you're a real example of carrying on your dad's legacy with your own shine, not living in his shadow. You're such a great artist, your talent goes beyond the Van Halen name. Your albums are some of my favorites, especially the second one-I actually listened to every song and loved them all. Congratulations and keep blessing us with your music!
I wish your dad could have heard this. You rock man!!!
He's hearing😇
Wolf played the whole album for Eddie before he passed.
This album is so good. I’ve been listening to it every single day for the past 6 months.
I had the pleasure of seeing Mammoth when they performed before Alter Bridge. I was not disappointed. This song is so beautiful and hearing it live gave me goosebumps. Truly amazing.
Man, that's my ideal bill: Mammoth and Alter Bridge. How great was that?
@@darrelict1 It was honestly so incredible. Mammoth came on first, then Halestorm and then Alter Bridge. It was arguably the best gig I've been to.
@@ashtonmccormick4043 I'll bet that's right. I'd love to see that bill. I'm glad you had the opportunity. I dig Halestorm too. But AB and Wolf's stuff really resonate with me.
I love this, he is brilliant. It took the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert for me to discover him, but he is awesome. Looking forward to learning more about his music!
Me too!
Me too, isn't he just great 👌
I won tickets on a radio contest to see Mammoth and Dirty Honey in Kansas City last year. It was a really good show. My boyfriend and I were especially impressed with Wolfgang's voice. We had seen him perform once before in 2007 in K.C. with the VanHalen reunion tour. Was impressed with his guitar playing, especially since he was so young at the time. Had the pleasure of seeing EVH 3 times live. He would be so proud of his son and his accomplishments. Keep up the good work WVH!
Why in the hell am I not hearing this everywhere? This song is really sound. He did a more than fine job of crafting this. If this was my piece, I would be really looking at the reasons this hasn't produced awards. Something odd this is not blowing up the industry. 🤔
Just saw Mammoth on Tuesday in Milwaukee. They were amazing. Sounded spectacular. Since then I can’t get enough of them, been listening to everything available. Wolf beams with talent. I loved his dad when I was kid and it is easy to love Wolf and I just got familiar with them. Will def see them again!
He played every instrument, sang every vocal part, and wrote every song on the entire Mammoth album. It's just him. All of it.
He has a beautiful voice! Eddie’s SO proud of him…
This is the only album since the 1st Audioslave with Chris Cornell that I love every single song. I can listen over&over. I'm 58 BTW🤣
I've watched this video tons of times, and every time at the 3:36 mark when those dudes raise their hands, I get goose bumps like no other.
🔥 Can't wait to see you guys at the Wiltern in March! Thanks for keeping rock alive. 🤘
wait.. really?! >gleep
Wolfie is AMAZING!!!! Eddie gave us more than epic guitar solos, he also gave us this talented musician!
Damn I LOVE this band so much!!! You are ALL such amazing musicians!!! Thank you Wolf for sharing this journey!!!
2024 and I just discovered these guys. Going down the rabbit hole. Hookiest songs I’ve heard in a long time! Just fantastic!
First time I heard Wolfgang’s group
Love it.
Great until question sound
It's rare that I hear a song for the first time that I absolutely love. It's like an instant classic. Awesome!
