This was the first band I ever saw live! Tesla opened for Poison at the Von Braun Civic center in Huntsville Alabama when I was just barely 17 years old. I have always loved this band! I am now 50 and still regard Tesla as one of the best bands ever!
Always been a huge Telsa fan. Frank Hannon has been a hero of mine for 30 years... Damn... Dave Rude looks like he's having so much fun!!! He's killing it. Glad to see them on the road, and Jeff hasn't lost his vocals. Excellent recording. Wish I was there!
No computers, no pitch correct, no backing tracks, just a real group of musicians who can actually play their asses off! They are all great! Super tight and in the pocket... Props ;-)
I live in Huntsville and was supposed to go to this concert. Unfortunately I was in the hospital with COVID Pnumonia and couldn't make it. Couple days ago I bought a new 85" tv and this concert looked great! Whoever filmed this, you did a great job! Tesla stills puts on a great show! Totally underrated band!
Mechanical Resonance is one of the best albums...definitely one of the best debut albums by any band I was fan of....When I actually played the guitar it was one of the albums I learned almost every song on....I dont thinks theres a bad song on this one.

I’ve seen Tesla many times, especially during the 80’s. My absolute favorite show was in February of 1988 when they opened for Def Leppard on their Hysteria tour. The stage was in the center of the arena instead of being at one end like most concerts. Everyone had a great seat.🤘🔥👊

In the summer of '87 I was home in DFW my on first leave after going into the military. My buddies and I went to the Texxas Jam. None of us had ever heard of Tesla before but when they went on stage they blew everyone away. They were the best band there and it wasn't even close. Been a hard core fan ever since.
I’m 44 , got Tesla first album on cassette cause I had read that Nikki Sixx was a big fan of the band . I still have to say , We’re No Good Together is one of the best vocals of the genre . Oddly enough I’m watching a new Paramount show ,,, Mayor of Kingstown and during a strip club scene, they are playing it . Thanx for being a great band and the memories … it’s getting better every single day .
Omg! That is definately one of my top 10 of Tesla's! Im glad you feel that way. Sounds funny talking about my old 8 tracks, then cassettes. I think I owned & bought only one record and that was Tom Petty & The Hearbreakers! Lol!!

Dude! Same! That whole "in the round" thing. I went for Def Leppard, but they sooo outclassed them. I had saw the ads in the magazines but hadn't heard them yet. Pretty much forgot about DL after that. I only listen to the first 3 albums anyway. Saw them at the Omni in Atlanta. Also got fired from my grocery store job for going to that show.
Stellar longevity" they have been delivering nearly as long as the mighty priest. Happy for these members, they really paid there dues within touring, studio practice, also just as thorough as very first tour. Extraordinary only a 1/4 dozen from 80's era are even still within music.
At 52:00 - Jeff made dragging that stool out to centre stage look like really tough work! I love these guys. I haven't had the change to see them live, but man... are they ever on my list.
Hell yes!! First off to Brad in Ga. I fully agree with your brother. And most importantly I must have been asleep because where the heck is Troy when did he leave? What a slacker I am! My home down boys are sharper than ever! There should be a Sacramento show in Sacramento with Tesla and Deftones with Oleander. Come on guys what do you say?
I was living in Belgium at the time. The summer of 1990 I heard Love Song for the first time and bought The Great Radio Controversy shortly after. While I was really captured by that ballad I was blown away by their hard rocking chops. Later they came out with Five Man Acoustical Jam and that was constantly on the playlist at the pub I used to work at the summer of 1991. I really regret not seeing them when they toured in 1992 on the Psychotic Supper tour. Always been one of my favourite twin guitar attack acts a la Thin Lizzy, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, AC/DC vein. They are not and never were a hair band. They are just one of the best hard rock bands of this era, great to see them still rocking out. If you need any convincing of their chops and their pedigree and honoring their heroes listen to the double album Real To Reel. As a drummer I just loved Troy Lucketta’s playing, he was so locked in with Brian Wheat to provide that foundation for Jeff, Tommy and Keith to lay down their bluesy rock riffs and vocals. Much respect from Fiji….still listening to these guys 30 years later. Spent a bit of time in Sacramento a few years back. Great to be in the hometown of two of my favourite home bands Tesla nd Deftones.
Shame this wasn’t professionally done. Still Killer. But to hear Jeff’s voice better would have been Awesome. Kudos to the person that recorded this. AWESOME JOB.
His voice was always a bit “raspy” , but after watching the entire video, can see shades of his past. For 63, he’s still doing pretty good! Much better than Coverdale, Elliott, Neal, etc.
@@geoffreymiller5422 I like your comment, but I think J. Puckett was talking about the audio quality of the video. I also wish that this was professionally done. Video is an A+, but audio is a B-. Happy that we get to experience it at all!!! Much love to Tesla!!!!
I agree although for me, by the end of the video it either got better or I didn't notice as much. But yeah Keith's vocals were low. Also, I don't think it was the person who recorded the video but it was the actual person mixing the sound at the show.
The 2 “opening bands” that were jaw-dropping and I went out after the concert and bought all their music, were Tesla opening for Def Leppard and Sevendust opening for Creed, both in Spokane. My Tesla playlist is one of my favorites that gets played OFTEN!! Thanks for posting this, brought back a TON of excellent memories. 🤘🏼

I was there. They rocked hard.
El tiempo no ha tocado su voz, fantastica su vigencia!!
The boy's alway's deliver live.Love these timeless tunes.
Well said.
They sound great, like usual, hope to see them. They were such a part of my 80s and 90s
They are so damn good!'
Seen their very 1st tour new every song love these boys best band from the 80s no ones even close
On.my bucket list
Tesla still sounding great 👍
Keep rockin boys 🎤🎸🤠
Shame this wasn’t professionally done. Still Killer. But to hear Jeff’s voice better would have been Awesome. Kudos to the person that recorded this. AWESOME JOB.
Word!
Amazing band. Seen them many times and the always rock! So many hits!
Still rocking it! Great Rock Band! Killer guys. Great show! Good job with the poor mans concert video production. Incredibly tight. Pros
That is what you call MOVIN SOME SERIOUS AIR! Awesome!
They sound great
JEFF IS MY GENERATIONS STEVEN TYLER.
One of the best live bands ever!🤘🏻TESLA⚡
This is some of the best bootleg I've ever seen! Tesla Rocks!
Seen Tesla many times through the years. Big venues, small venues they always bring it! Great job filming this show.
