Jeff's voice is in pretty good shape here. Impressed with the amount of production/stage show they've got too, even if they don't move like they used to!
Exactly my thinking, on both points. Jeff's voice sounded about like this (maybe worse) years ago, so I thought it would be even worse now, but it sounds pretty good. I don't now how he does it. That kind of singing would be extremely hard, especially at 66. It's also cool that they aren't tuning down (like Geoff Tate).

Best I've heard JK in a long time. Tesla is a freaking machine. The band is awesome. No fluff, just rock and roll. No bullshit backing track, no autotune...just pure performances. This is music.
I'm gonna see them at the MESA ART CENTER, June 17th 2024 .... maybe vegas in April.....saw them in Sept in vegas in 2023., amazing show at the house of blues..... they will always kick ass.......
I'm disappointed with all the negative comments. They have been rocking since 1986 and if you have been a fan since then, then I know you appreciate this band with all of their long dedication and talent. No other band out there since that era that still puts out this kind of dedication. They tour year round and smaller venues are amazing. Also.....Time to Rock and all their newer songs are amazing and just a reminder.....JK is 65 and in my opinion, has been the best front man ever.... Frank and Brian are amazing just the same. This is my favorite band of all time. None of the other bands from the 80's are still producing anything new and touring like these guys.....well maybe Def Leppard

Watching them perform Love Song is like watching a work of musical art. All those guitars used and going from one to another and working together with one another beautifully, let alone the classical influence and songwriting involved.. master class. ❤
I wish more bands would play some of their more recent material. I've seen many of my favorite bands of this era and most of them just pay the hits. Throw in a couple of different tunes. Props to Tesla for doing this. True fans of any band wanna see something new. I get you don't get the same reaction live. If the tune is great and you keep playing it, people will eventually check it out.

Got to see Tesla live a few years ago opening for Def Lep. Had never seen either live as I have seen many bands from this so called genre many times (Tesla is much different than the other bands they are lumped in with, Cinderella is another) Any way they blew Def Lep off the stage. Show was in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. My buddy and I left half way through Lep's set. Only concert I have been to where most were sitting down. I was having a good time and the people behind us asked my buddy to ask me to sit down. Wow! This is a Rock show. What a shitty atmosphere! Not that Def Lep weren't good. Just felt uninspired. I get it. What a shitty crowd. Rock concert people. "Stand up & Shout" Dio! Anyone else that I have talked to said Lep is awesome live. Anyway sorry to ramble on. Tesla are an amazing rock band that really doesn't get the props they deserve. Definitely wanna see Tesla again and see Def Lepp again somewhere else.

Veneers are difficult to make look quite right. Valo's teeth were gnarly as hell for a long time, and he's super skinny now, so his make him look extra jarring. 😂
Only thing disappointing is that this type of a venue is just awful for acoustics, especially recording anything. Gone are the arena touring days and thats the setting you wanna see great bands like this, but these types of venues are great for a more personal setting. Jeff and the boys always deliver a good show and entertain.

@@randymoran67 Arguably, according to age factor alone, all the old 80s bands are washed up. But if they still sound tight and energetic and put on a quality performance as Tesla here (compare older performances), they’re not. Keith is in tune and sings comfortably without strain, which by itself is impressive considering his age and the abuses to the voice that go with this genre.
