- The fight between having a corded or cordless cleaner is now over... introducing the Poolmate Hydro 4. The first-ever pool cleaner you can use as both a CORDED or CORDLESS cleaner!
There are benefits of using a corded vs cordless cleaner and now you can have it all! Use the cordless version when you have less maintenance and you don't want to trip over cords. Use the corded version when you have a ton of debris and need that constant power option. Such a cool design here!
Be sure to pick the right cleaner choice for you!
You can pick one up on any of my links below!

Thanks for sharing those awesome videos - they're really fantastic!👍👍👍👍🥰
Hey David, in order to have both corded and cordless hydro 4, you have to buy 2 hydro 4? or we can buy only one hydro 4, and then buy the cord and the floating battery? I don’t see this option on Amazon.
The dual version(both corded and cordless with floating battery) is only available on their main site. That's where I bought mine. I think amz only has one or the other, not both for some reason.
Honest recommendation.. between, dolphin nautilus cc plus, aiper seagull pro and hydro 4, which one you recommend?
1st.
Also, if you had $1800 and your top two priority’s were reliability and efficiency.
What brand and model Robotic corded cleaner would you pick?
A lot of variables, but overall for most people’s pools.
If you want both reliability and efficiency, I would definitely go with a Dolphin brand cleaner. I have a few Dolphin cleaners that are over 5 years old and still work like brand new.
Yes, there are very expensive new brand cleaners like Beatbot with cool new tech, but the longevity of these brands are still too new to determine. Same with less expensive brands, too new to know if they'll last.
For $1800, I'd take a look at the Dolphin E70. You get the big name brand with a ton of features and it's corded.
@@imdefinitelydavid appreciate the response. The explorer 70 was on my short list. Thank you.
Didn't see much about the robot running on the floor besides its climbing walls and tanning ledge. How's the robot cleaning efficiency? How much debris did it pick up?
It does well on the floors, it has a pattern it follows as well. The debris basket is unique, the dual filter does capture slightly more than a normal fine filter but not like an ultra-fine filter.
Hey, thanks for the review, but I confuse, if I want 2 in 1 mode, which one should I buy? Cord or cordless? Or if for example I buy cordless, I need to buy the cord separately?
It can be a bit confusing because of all the options.
You can get this cleaner in 3 ways.
One, cordless with the floating battery pack.
Two, corded with the power supply.
And three, 2 in 1, both the floating battery pack AND the power supply. But this version, you can ONLY find right now on their main website. It's not on amz yet. The other two versions are on amz.
@imdefinitelydavid ohh ok, that's why when I go to Amazon, the details description only for cord or cordless options, but in their official website telling hydro 4 is dual options. So do you think if I order from their website, they will send me with both options? That's what I see in "what I get".
Yeah on the website make sure it's the "2 in 1 set" that's the one I bought and I received both setups.
How long will this cleaning robot last on a single charge?
Fully charged, depends on the mode, but over 3 hours
Your video is so good👍, is it really that amazing😺? I want to have a Hydro4 immediately to clean my dirty pool.😍
I noticed Poolmate have a cordless robot hydro 3 ,will you reivew this model ?
The company contacted me after this video posted and although I originally did not intend to, I might be lol
Hey, if i use cordless hydro 4, and use a robotic skimmer, do you think it works? I knew if cordless completely is ok, but hydro 4 cordless have a floating battery. Can you do the experiment with all manufactured skimmer that yiu may have? Very appreciated!! 12:53
I have tested it before. Sometimes the skimmer and battery pack run into each other and it doesn't damage it but kind of drags/moves the cleaner off track. Like the pattern is thrown off. But eventually they move separate ways and it goes back to normal.
How strong is the suction on hydro4? powerful?
It has a 5000 GPH rating, so it's pretty powerful, but it does move slower than other cleaners I've used. This doesn't mean that it doesn't clean well, it just means it looks slower but sucks more at one time before moving if that makes sense.
Hey, do you mind if you share the contact number of the poolmate company base in the United States because I couldn't find it. Even I tried to dial they said it's no longer exist. Can you help on this? Very appreciate
I've only talked to them through email. Did you try the contact button on the website? I used that before I bought the Hydro 4 to ask then some questions and they took about 3 days to respond back.

Although recently, their marketing them reached out to me through a different email but I can't disclose that(we are working on a partnership atm).
