Gosvor Pivot Review
The Gosvor Pivot is the lightest robotic pool cleaner I've ever used that cleans both the floors and walls of the pool!
Designed with smaller pools in mind, the Gosvor Pivot is an in-between type of cleaner. Better than a basic floor cleaner but not as complicated as a full on robotic pool cleaner with extra unnecessary features. Great for above-ground pools and simple in-ground pool setups!
You can pick one up on any of my links below!

    I had the Seauto shark, it only lasted about 2 months...It was not a quality product. As the video mentioned, Seauto was not a good company to work with. Overall, they never ended up honoring the warranty, though they kept saying they would and delaying, it's been about 6 months. A lot of people had a similar experience with Seauto products, it's not surprising that they were discontinued. Why would you want to purchase this product? Even if Dolphin honors the warranty, you are going to be hassling with returning and waiting for repairs every few months due to the subpar manufacturing....

    I think I have officially watched all of your YT videos on robotic pool cleaners. Your reviews are awesome, but I am having trouble settling on a robot. I have a 35000 gal/40’ vinyl lined pool. What robot do you recommend in the $1000 range? I am not partial to corded or wireless. I would like to be able to leave the unit in the pool a week at a time for probably three cleans. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

      Thank you for the views! There are a ton of cleaners on the market and it gets overwhelming at times. One thing that does stand out is that you have a 35k gallon pool so you will want to stick to cleaners designed for bigger pools. For the price range, two very good corded cleaners with weekly timers to look at would be the Dolphin Quantum and the Dolphin CC Pro. For cordless, look at the Wybot S2(my current favorite) and the Aiper Scuba S1 Pro. Both are designed to handle larger pools and have weekly timers.

      @@imdefinitelydavid thank you for the response. based on your initial review of the WYBOT and Aiper, I went with the WYBOT. Unfortunately I have had it for about a week and I tend to only get one clean per charge. It causes me to have to pull, clean, charge and repeat. This could be due to the robot spending an unnecessary amount of time on my bottom drain. I plan to run it for the rest of the week, but will be looking to your recommendations for “corded” if I am not confident in the S2.

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid День назад

      The one charge is when you use a cleaning mode like Standard Mode correct? Because it's designed to run once on those modes and to use up a majority of the battery depending on which mode it is. The Cycle mode is when you can change the cycle and it should turn on itself through the week. That's where it should be dividing the battery up among the days it runs.

      From what I remember, this is how you pair a new remote: First, on the new remote control, HOLD the power button for 3 seconds. This turns the remote on. Second, PLUG IN the head unit/control panel, it should display the operating time. Third, PUSH both the OK button AND CANCEL button at the same time over and over again for about 6 seconds. If that works, the display says something like "good" on it and then goes back to the operating time and now the new remote should be paired. Hope that works!

    hi David......I am wondering if you know whether the Wybot S2 will clean when it's backing up....I have it set for standard floor and walls....it will go all the way down to the other end of the pool, go up the steps and across the tanning deck which is 15" deep.....it hit the wall, cleans the water line and back down....the it back down the steps, and backs all the way to the other end of the pool.....this pattern repeats itself until it changes direction or finds an obstacle......So the questions is: does it clean while backing up....thansk for any help......Making decision on the Wybot S2, Wybot S2 Pro and Aiper S1 Pro......

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 2 дня назад

      Hello! Yes, the S2 does clean/suctions when backing up so moving backwards isn't a issue. It usually only backs up when on the floor but will only climb up forwards up a wall or ledge. I love the Wybot S2 and I have the Aiper S1 Pro. I am choosing to use the S2 over the S1 Pro because of how much lighter the S2 is than the Pro. However if you have a TON of ultra-fine debris, the S1 Pro has a better version of an ultra-fine filter than the S2 does. But otherwise, the S2 is my preferred cleaner at the moment. And having a self-charging station is cool for the S2 Pro version. Wybot actually offered me the S2 Pro to review but they wanted me to do some things I did not think was necessary in my video so I declined. But it worked out because I bought the S2 instead and felt better reviewing it not sponsored. The benefit of that Pro version is that you really only need to take the cleaner out to empty out the debris. Makes cleaning the pool even easier. But time will tell how the cleaner lasts being in the pool 24/7 since chlorine and salt is corrosive. That's the only thing I'd worry about for the S2 Pro.

      @@imdefinitelydavid thanks David.....I have been running both,,,The Aiper s2 Pro and the Wybot S2......I have on oder the S2 Pro with docking station....I also think the filtering system of the Aiper S1 Pro is by far better, but I can get different media to change out the Wybot S2 Pro making hot better.... Also, I think the Aiper is using better material and plastics....this adds a little weight.....I like the looks of the Aiper better and it just feels more beefier......Bothe units use the same charger but the cleaner connection is just a bit different....The Wybot charger is using cheaper wire and does not have a grounding plug..... As far as cleaning, both are very good but after watching these two unit for over 48 hours of cleaning, I think the Wybot beat out the Aiper and the pattern and coverage is also better in the Wybot......I was using the "Standard Clean Mode" and noticed the unit will go one to end and go up walls and clean the water line.....very impressive....I am going to use the regular mode tomorrow and see what happens.....What surprised me the most was the Wybot ability to go up 2 steps ( each 14" wide and 12" high") and clean my 15" deep tanning deck.....The Aiper easily climbs the steps but it is too long to get vertical enough to clean water line and tile.....It shuts off and back out....sometimes it will do 2 paths but most of the time it just goes back into the waters deep end and continue it normal floor and wall cleaning.....Sorry for the long winded txt, but just wanted to share with you my experiences and let you know I am packing up the Aiper tomorrow and sending back.....I already have the return label......one last thing, amazon says the weight for the Wybot S2 is 25 lbs.....not true....I found it to be 18.7 lbs....mush lighter and easier to get out of pool.....again, thanks for your hard work and videos....It make my decision easier when I can look at something then try if out for myself......regards, OKU

      Something interesting that I found out about Wybot and Aiper is that they're owned by the same company, just two different brands. Over the years, I've used both and wondered why they had similar robot features but different physical looks. Who knew? And yes, I agree with you about the filtering system on the S1 Pro, better because of the pleated filter than the foam on the S2. But it is quite impressive how well the S2 moves considering the size. Amz always lists Gross Weight on their listings for pool cleaners which includes the box and everything in the box. They rarely list the weight of just the cleaner by itself. Kind of misleading but always a surprise when it's lighter

      I agree with you, the Aiper S1 Pro physically does feel more higher-end than the Wybot S2. Feels more beefy and solid. But feels much heavier than the S2. And yes, the Wybot S2 has more features with the app than the S1 Pro because before it was released they planned on releasing a Hydrocomm buoy to attach to the S1 Pro which would have added all those extra app features. But it was delayed and so far the reps are saying that it is discontinued and will no longer be released sadly. So no extra app features for the S1 Pro. Well they're both different types of cleaners, cordless vs corded so I would say they're used for different reasons. Degrii Zima is good for the cost, convenient for being cordless. But struggles on steps and ledges. You will have to target those areas with the remote control. The IQ however does well on all surfaces and climbs steps and ledges by itself. Less need for user operation. But it's corded so that might get in the way. And then there's a big cost difference too so you kind of have to decide what features are more important. But on performance alone, the IQ is better I'd say.

    • @imdefinitelydavid

      It's totally up to you to leave it on the dock or not. It's a charging station but also a docking station, so it's perfectly fine to leave it on even when it's fully charged. It's designed to not overcharge itself even if left on the dock. You don't have to turn your pool pump off to use the cleaner. It used to be that years ago, by turning the pool pump off it allowed cleaners to more easily move through the pool to clean it better. But nowadays, almost every cleaner is more powerful and efficient to run even with the pump on.

    Curious about one more thing: You mention (@6:20) that when the charge is down to 15%, the unit will park itself at the end of the pool for retrieval. Does it know to park itself in the SHALLOW end (where I put it in, and where it would be easiest to fish out: I could climb in and grab it if necessary), or might it park itself, less conveniently, at the deep end?

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 5 дней назад

      Unfortunately it's random. I think wherever it is when it hits the battery percentage in the pool, it'll go forward until it senses a wall, then park itself there. It doesn't keep searching for an alternate wall even if it has more battery to find one. Wish it did

  • @stevenzak199

    I just got the Scuba S1 delivered yesterday evening. (I also just got the SURFER S1, which works very well.) I charged it up last night and put it in the pool this morning and had it in automatic mode. I came back close to an hour later and - because my pool is cloudy right now - I couldn't find it. I had to put on some swim goggles and dive for it. It was in the deep end near the bottom, and I think it was trying to climb the wall - the scrubbers were turning - but was staying in one spot. I grabbed it by the scrubbers (water was too cloudy to see anything in order to hook it from topside) and pulled it out. When I opened the basket, it was half full of probably dead algae (I recently had some pool problems) which, of course, is very dense and very heavy. I'm wondering whether that much weight was just more than the Scuba could lift - it was just weighted down when trying to climb the wall. If so, once I finally get that algae out of the pool, maybe the Scuba will do fine in maintaining a less problematic pool. (I also wonder whether that very fancy robot you reviewed - the Beatbot Aquasense Pro - might do better at lifting very heavy silt and algae because it might have a more powerful motor.) I cleaned it out and put it back in the pool, but this time in the bottom-only mode. That's the stuff I have to clean up and maybe if it's only going horizontally on the bottom, rather than trying to climb vertically up a wall, the weight of the dead algae won't stop it. We'll see ...

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 5 дней назад

      Oh for sure if your pool is super dirty it'll struggle. Every cleaner will struggle with a pool that's in that condition. All cleaners, expensive or bargain brand are designed for maintaining a pool in "good shape". It can be dirty, just not so dirty you can't see what's in the water. And yes, it would be normal for any cleaner to slow down when the debris basket is getting full because it's sucking and trying to filter out debris and water flow. In general, the Beatbot AP would do better filtering and cleaning out your pool because of yes, the motors and power, but also because of the ultra-fine filter basket. What I'd do is exactly what you're doing. Keep running it over and over and see how it goes.

      That's a general number when they say 65 feet. It's programmed to move up to 65 feet in total, not clean a 65 foot pool. Because of the smaller design and lack of advanced navigation, there is no way this handles a real 65 foot pool. At least not very well, and at least not in one run.

    Great review! Thanks! Hi David, is the robot recommended to be charged 'indoors'? Also, any idea if the charger is water resistant, i.e. if it is charging outside and then it starts to rain, will the charger still work, or will it short out?

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 6 дней назад

      Thank you! They always recommend charging under a "covered" setting so I'm almost certain the charger is not waterproof. I know of some chargers that are magnetic/wireless that have one end that is waterproof but always, the other end that plugs into an ac outlet is not. I always either plug it inside somewhere like a garage or under a patio for sure.

    Very throughall review, great job, Sir. One thing I'm curious about is the actual size of what is considered a "small pool"? Are most backyard pools bigger than the 1,000 + sqr feet this can clean? 🤷‍♂️

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 6 дней назад

      Well it's weird. Most people would say a pool that's about 10x20 would be a small pool. Medium is 15x30. And large would be 20x40. But this doesn't consider depth. A small pool on paper being 10x20 would only be 200 sq ft. But if it's 10 feet deep it becomes 2000 sq ft and considered a medium pool, etc. All very different for every pool. So if a cleaner does well in one pool, even if another pool measures the same on the outside, the cleaner might not do well in it, assuming it's deeper, etc.

    Suppose you leave this in the pool at night. At some point during the night, with no sun shining down, it may run out of charge. The next day, it's out in the sun again and recharging - but does it turn itself on automatically, or do you have to push one of those two buttons to get it going again?

    It worked fine while it lasted. Then the impeller started squeaking after 1 week and now on day 29 it stopped turning completely. So, every time the thing slows down for an obstacle it's whole "catch" comes floating out in the front. In other words, it turned into snowplow for debris, and instead of collecting it, it just pushes it around. The company is from China, returns and complaints are a pain. In short: Unless you want to spend $30/day for this thing to clean your pool for a week or two, don't buy this garbage

      Yes! They all have a preset percentage on the battery. When it gets low enough, it'll turn off(sometime in the evening usually with no charging from sun). Then the next morning when sunlight comes in, it'll take a few hours to charge itself first, then turn back on. Depending on how intense the sun is(summer vs fall) it'll turn itself on faster, etc. But all should be AUTOMATIC and turn themselves on yes.

    Hi David, stumbled onto your channel and really like the content. Our Polaris 935 is officially done for after a few years. I am looking at a surface skimmer and leaning towards the Aiper Surfer or the Betta you showed off in another video. Also need a floor and water line robot. I am overwhelmed by the amount of choice lol. What would you recommend as a good combo? We have a kidney shaped pool with gunite curved steps. The surface always has pollen, small bugs etc so would love a surface skimmer, I don't necessarily need wireless robot , I am skeptical about batteries and longevity and would like to stay at appx $1500ish in total for the 2... any suggestions? Thank you

      @imdefinitelydavid 12 дней назад

      Hello! If you're considering a skimmer and cleaner combo then you will definitely have to get a cordless cleaner. All skimmers on the market currently will get tangled into the cord of a corded robotic cleaner. They're not quite yet advanced enough to detect cords and to get around cords. Does that change your opinion on getting a skimmer or cordless?

      I bought the Aiper first because of the great price on Prime day from Aiper because of the great price.....I was impressed. with workmanship and materials....but this thing is heavy......I then saw Davids review of the Wybot S2 and was really interested.....I bought it from Amazon with a $200 coupon.....When it got here I noticed how closely it looks like the Aiper....Same power supply but with slightly modified connector.....the Wybot also does not have a grounding plug which is dangerous when around water....in comparison, both work very well however the Aiper has a lot of difficulty with my tanning deck....it goes up steps very well, but stalls on the wall and never cleans the deck.......on the other hand, the Wybot climbs steps and cleans deck and tile and water line very well....thats what I wanted....I also looked and bought the Aiper S1 but it would climb steps but go to the wall with front end out of the water at a 45 degree angle.....running time on it ws almost 4hrs.....because of the 45 degree angle, I returned it... now that I have used the Aiper S1 Pro and the Wybot S2, I prefer the Wybot S2 for two reasons: 1) it is lighter and easier to get out of the water and cleaning the basket I dont get soaked; 2) it cleans the walls, water-line, floors and tile exceptionally well and last for almost 3hrs and 20 min.......although the Aiper, I consider a better product because of materials and filter, it is just too heavy.....my 5'-0" wife at 100 lbs can not get it out......treated well, the Wybot S2 and S2 Pro will last a long time.......Also, the Wybot app have a lot of options that Aiper does not have....I am sure over time they will improve the app, but for now the Wybot app has everything I need except a battery indicator and cleaning history.....I was told today that those items are being incorporated into the next app release...we will see....I am happy with the Wybot S2 and I am sure the Wybot S2 Pro with charging dock will be great as well.....I am waiting for that one to be delivered (15 Aug 24)

      Hello! I totally understand about the suction side cleaners. And if you're considering switching to a robotic cleaner, it's a guarantee that you'll see a much better clean. Not to say suction side cleaners aren't great, they're great for other reasons. The Scuba S1 Pro does well on my baja shelf. Although it doesn't scrub the waterline as long as if it were to climb up just a straight wall without a shelf, it still scrubs the waterline above the shelf better than other cleaners with active waterline scrubbing. The funny thing is, the normal Scuba S1 doesn't have that same issue with stopping and backing up at the waterline of the shelf because it is physically smaller than the S1 Pro. The S1 Pro needs more surface area under it to actively scrub the waterline. Technically, for just baja shelf cleaning the normal S1 might even be better lol. However, the dual filters with the ultra-fine filter is a plus and the Pro version is the only one with that filter. You'll have an even more cleaner feeling pool if that makes sense. In addition, you get lots of cleaning modes and an app so that's a plus. But the S1 Pro is heavier in general too. You kind of have to get used to it.

      Yes, as long as the power switch is flipped to the ON position it's all automatic. Will run until the battery drains and absorb sunlight when available. Seauto Crab Cordless vs WYBOT C1 Robotic Pool Cleaner which is better?

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 14 дней назад

      The Crab is better if you want a more aggressive climber and scrubber. If you have a lot of tall walls or dirty waterline issues. However, it doesn't have a weekly timer feature if you need it. I prefer cleaners with weekly timers, but others don't really need it. The C1 has a weekly timer function through the app and also cleans as well as the Crab, but just not as aggressive at it.

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 14 дней назад

      The Wybot uses both Bluetooth and wifi in order to use the online app. Bluetooth must be turned on to connect from your phone to the cleaner. Once this is connected, in order to use the app it needs to connect to your wifi to be able to use the functions/options on the app. And no, unfortunately there is no battery indicator on the S2. Sorry I didn't even mention that in the video.

    I noticed in the last minute or so of the video, you do a sped up portion showing the unit cleaning the pool floor perimeter and then inside section of the floor. During that part the unit seems to go over the same part repeatedly (corner to corner). This is similar to an issue I had with a different brand high end cordless robot cleaner. Did you notice this to be an issue with the beatbot? I found that curved areas in my freeform and corners would cause it to repeatedly return to the same areas. It would eventually escape but getting stuck for 10-15 minutes going over the same spot was frustrating.

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 15 дней назад

      Not with the Aquasense. Once it hit the edge corner to corner it pretty much turns around towards another corner away from that wall.
