Rice recipes tend to hold heat well. I'll typically just reheat it that morning, toss it into an old butter container and take that to lunch. Same thing with meat.

I taught a family that had 5 boys at my school. They always brought their lunch. I asked how his mom did that. He said that she had a rolling cart filled with individually wrapped stuff. If you wanted a sandwich you had to make it yourself. Everything else they just chose for themselves and stuffed their boxes. Not the healthiest, but the woman was just trying to survive!
